Fabulous get away cottage! Beautifully decorated 2 bedrooms 2 full bath lake home plus basement with pool table! Absolutely adorable -- kitchen, dining, and living room all open with views of the water. Large sectional and TV in family room. Master bedroom with queen bed - has a private bathroom. Guest room with queen bed convenient to hall full bath. Enjoy a game of pool in the basement - outdoor seating area right outside sliding doors in basement. Electric fireplace in basement as well. Horse shoe pit in backyard!

Great location on Lake Norman! Two docks - one for a boat and one for enjoying picnics with a glass of wine and appetizers! Front porch deck has gas grill - right outside kitchen door. Incredible backyard entertainment deck (over 1200 sq ft) with rocking chairs, built in bar, and plenty of space to relax morning, noon, and night! Free WiFi and cable TV with premium channels.

Great Place to Unwind

Very nice neighborhood. Property very comfortable. Showers need a little work, but are still doable.If you like quiet, then this is the place for you.

Family weekend

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was great - clean and comfortable. The view from the deck was incredible. We would definitely stay there again. Only suggestion is to get a ladder for the dock.

House number is hard to make out since the 2 is so faded. Had trouble getting the code to get into the house. I submitted the necessary info but, had to call the morning we left to get the code. The place definitely needs updated. Living area and deck are a nice size but, bedrooms and bathroom small. Bath off bedroom super small shower with water temperature hard to adjust. We were given 1 washcloth for 4 people. The basement is only accessible from outside and was very musty. We opened the door and closed it. The life jackets were filthy and when the kayaks were used, one had a hole. We managed to have a nice trip but, will not stay here again.

Cute cottage on a great lot

My family and I had a great stay! The house and everything in it was as expected. My only complaints are 1) the large patio was ridden with cobwebs, tree debris, and the patio furniture was not cleaned for use. We cleaned it ourselves with a broom and found a hose to spray everything down with. 2) We highly suggest adding a ladder for the dock. Getting out of the water was not easy! Also FYI the basement has a separate outdoor entrance and is not accessible from inside the house. I didn’t realize that ahead of time. Aside from these small setbacks the house was perfect for what we were looking for and we would stay again!

Lake Norman Cottage Stay

Awesome Accommodations

We have stayed at this property several times and we love it! This is a clean and neat house and we always enjoy our time here. The dock and access to the water are great. The kids had a blast playing and fishing.

Nice cottage feel. Loved the location. Few concerns: — Bathrooms very small and outdated. Latch broken on en-suite bathroom. Other bathroom water pressure bad and shower head very high, not great for shorter people. — No bathroom amenities, towels smelled sour and needed to rewash, —Wood floors in kitchen-living room area were dirty. — Also no trash bags to be found other than the one in the receptacle. For the cost of the cottage, expectations were higher and it was a disappointment.

Nice get a way!

Stayed with my husband and our friends. Cute house! Had no problem with internet as others have complained. We relaxed, kayaked, floated on rafts & played pool. The deck is amazing! Only thing wrong was the lighting was out on the outside that aimed at the basement ( where the pool table is). My friend busted her shin open on the pad of concrete… but she’s a nurse so it was all good.

Lake Norman stay

The house had a musty smell - needs to be opened up prior to stay. The shower door handle was broke. The water in shower was very hot or cold - there was no in between. The bathtub was a slow drain while taking shower. The shower plastic liner & tub mat need replaced. When taking cover off grill - the door fell off. I could not find the light downstairs to use pool table or watch tv. They just need to do some routine maintenance. The house was in a good location & we were able to use boat dock which is a plus. I hope to come back some day as I like this area away from the Charlotte traffic.

Nice Home

We enjoyed our stay here. The house is very small but it worked for us 4 adults. A few things… there are only 4 bath towels and 2 hand towels supplied. Bring your own dishrags and washcloths. There is a Keurig and a coffee pot at the property. The location of the house was nice. We came specifically to boat. Restaurants on the water are less than 15 minutes away. The dock did accommodate our 30’ boat just fine. The back deck was an awesome hangout in the mornings for coffee and in the evenings when we came home.

Peaceful getaway

Our stay at the lake house was peaceful and enjoyable. The house is on a quieter part of the lake with easy access to everything you need. The property manager was friendly and prompt taking care of a few minor issues. We would recommend this property.

Nice weekend get away!

The cottage was cozy and clean! Ended up not having a dishwasher 😞. Was really excited about the dock and enjoyed sitting by the water. Just wish there was a ladder in the dock to get out of the water. The deck was amazing! Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Lovely house

The house is lovely, private, safe, warm and wonderful. The only issue we had was the wifi. The property management did everything in their power to resolve the issue. We would stay again.

Beautiful and cozy

Pictures and listings were very accurate. Property was cute Cosey and comfortable. My mother and I were in town for a funeral and this property was the perfect location close to the families house. Unfortunately we did not get a chance to use the lake activities. I was planning to work while I was there in between the services, however, the Wi-Fi was not working, they were very nice. Vrbo refunded me $100 since the Wi-Fi wasn’t working which was a great plus they did that for me as a courtesy without me even asking that’s great customer service the house was fairly clean however because we stayed in February, the house must have been closed up for a long period of time because it was very musty and there were bugs and dirt and all of the windowsills. Although we stayed there in the middle of February, the weather was 70° and we were able to open the windows and air the house out. Thankfully, they had many great smelling candles available in the house to light to mask the musty smell. The only other issue I saw was that the basement game room is not accessible from inside the house. I would definitely stay here again, they actually did a great job making this a comfy cozy relaxing place to get away!

Nice location

We spent a few days here for our Anniversary. The pictures are pretty accurate. Only 2 sets of towels and wash cloths with no laundry detergent to wash them. There was also no dawn detergent to wash dishes. I would suggest having those two things available if you only have a few dishes to clean and if you are staying more than 2 days. The living room furniture is stained and should be changed. The back deck is covered in leaves and we would have used the blower ourselves to clean it, but it doesn’t work- even with the battery from inside the house. We would also suggest having a Keurig for use there. I feel like most people use those now. Other than those helpful tips, the house is fine.

Disappointed

Fir all the precleaning expectations there were alot of issues. Dirty dishes in the cabinets, tv stuck in demo mode on so every fee minutes logos pop up on screen and don't leave, no power cord to the upstairs dvd player. Why the vacationer had to do so much, what do the cleaners actually do?They say nice quiet cove but it is on a very busy part of the lake and water was very shallow at end of dock.... made kayaking very unnerving with so many boats so close. I was told we could checkout later at 12 pm but were reminded several times that we had to leave by 10 am. So we were so disappointed we left a day early!

Another wonderful vacation

This was our second vacation at this property and enjoyed it as much as the first time. The house was immaculate, comfortable clean furnishings, well-stocked kitchen, beautiful shaded deck with lots of seating, kayaks and gorgeous views. We will return!

Well needed getaway

Location and view was perfect...beautiful, tranquil, much to do! House was nice, but has a few needs. Kitchen was nice and well stocked. Garbage disposal smelled. Had food and glass left in it. Living room furniture was badly stained. We covered the couch and love seat with blankets and our own throws. Matress in 2nd bedroom (the one without bathroon ) was almost unsleepable. There was hair in floor of 1st Br bath. We really enjoyed our stay. However, we were more than lightly displeased with the house for the price we paid. I would thoroughly recommend the location and the management company, but not this property. Too much money to be that disappointed. We will definitely be back to the area, but desire recommendations for other properties.
