Matala was AmaZing!!!

This was our favorite place we stayed in Greece!!! LOVED our beach house in Matala, breathtaking views off the balcony and we will be going back😊 Matala is a little authentic village with all the amenities, super markets, excellent restaurants, live music nightly, a wonderful Mama’s bakery and lots of shopping absolutely AmaZing!!! The locals were so welcoming, friendly and very beautiful…we LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Matala 😊 A must go to place!!! St Amour Family ~ Canada

Tolle Aussicht, nicht ganz sauber und sehr laut

Das Haus liegt wirklich fantastisch, die Aussicht auf die Bucht ist toll. Die oberen Zimmer sind renoviert. Der Vermieter ist nett, bemüht und bietet Hilfe und Tipps an. Bei unserer Ankunft war das Haus jedoch nicht sauber, der Inhalt der Spülmaschine war verschimmelt, es stand noch Müll in der Küche und die Bäder waren nicht geputzt. Man muss wissen, dass es kein Wohnzimmer oder Esstisch drinnen für mehrere Leute gibt, so dass man auf gutes Wetter angewiesen ist. Wer Ruhe sucht, muss auf jeden Fall abends die Fenster schließen, da die Livemusik der Partymeile darunter bis in die Morgenstunden ( 5 Uhr! ) sehr laut zu hören ist. Tolle Lage mit einigen Abstrichen!

A fantastic place for a group

We really enjoyed our stay here. The apartment had everything we needed. It was lovely to wake up to the amazing view of Matala Bay. The beach, bars and restaurants are all only 5 minutes walk from the apartment. We are already planning our return! Thank you Manolis! The only downside is that the bars below have DJs or live music until 4am most nights.

Stunning views, comfortable beds, gregarious and good natured owner.

Matala really is special and the two story house was in total, comfortable and with stunning views from each floor and two large balconies. The beds were extremely comfortable and the three bathrooms meant no waiting for a shower. The owner was friendly and attentive when anything required tending to. My one recommendation is that the dear owner consider adding a lounging area- there is no area inside to sit together. The small kitchen had one upholstered chair and that was all for the whole apartment. We grabbed two wood chairs from the balcony so we could sit together at breakfast. What such a great apartment really needs is perhaps a cozy corner banquette seating area in the kitchen and consideration of turning the adjacent bedroom into a bedroom/ living room. Similarly the beautiful upstairs balcony was just begging for some nice loungers. I noticed that the property photos included two rooms which were not part of our rental and which had a sofa. Would I return? Yes, between those views and the comfortable beds, I would indeed.

Einmaliger Blick auf die Bucht von Matala

Ein klasse Gastgeber. Er spricht mehrere Sprachen und hat immer ein paar gute Tips parat. Die Wohnung war großzügig. In der oberen Etage waren zwei Erwachsene und zwei Kinder (3 Jahre und 8 Monate) untergebracht. In der unteren Wohnung mit Küche und Bad waren zwei Erwachsene. Eine sehr gute Aufteilung. Der Anstieg zur Wohnung war teilweise steil und etwas unbequem. Man sollte gut zu Fuß unterwegs sein können. Alles in allem war es ein gelungener und herrlicher Urlaub mit einer sehr guten Aussicht von der großen Terasse. Etwas laut war es abends bis spät in die Nacht, weil unten dran eine kleine Festmeile verläuft. Durch die gut schallisolierten großen Schiebetüren drang nur hin und wieder der Bass ein wenig durch. Wir haben trotzdem in den gemütlichen Betten gut geschlafen. Wir können die Wohnung auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Super schönes Haus mit tollem Blick von beiden großen Terassen

Das Haus liegt einen kleinen machbaren Aufstieg (Auto kann nicht bis ran fahren) mit fantastischem Blick auf die Bucht von Matala. Supermärkte, Bars und Restaurants sind alle fußläufig erreichbar. Die Terassen bieten einen traumhaften Blick! Die Schlafzimmer sind mit richtig guten Betten ausgestattet. Die Küche könnte etwas besser ausgestattet sein (etwas wenig Tassen und Gläser, sonst ist alles ausreichend vorhanden. Eine Waschmaschine gibt es nicht, obwohl es unter Ausstattung geschrieben ist, aber kein großes Problem, wenn man es vorher weiß. Der Gastgeber ist der Beste, den wir je hatten, ist sofort zur Stelle, kümmert sich und hat tolle Tipps. Wir möchten auf jeden Fall wieder da hin und in diese Unterkunft.

die Terrassen sind alles Geld der Welt wert. Schöner geht es hier wirklich nicht.

Die Aussicht ist einmalig. Schöner geht's in Matala nicht. Manolis ist ein toller Gastgeber, freundlich, zugewandt, immer hilfsbereit. Er spricht alle Sprachen der Welt und hat tolle Tipps. In der Saison kann es lauter werden, da die Ausgehmeile direkt unterhalb des Hauses ist. Aber: hakuna matata.
