About this property

Croft Prince Barn, St Agnes in peaceful countryside

Experience - The Area...Within a 5 minute drive of the stunning North Coast yet nestling in a peaceful rural setting, Croft Prince Barn is situated within the parish of St Agnes and just 15 minutes by car to the cathedral city of Truro and its plenitude of amenities. A comfortable, detached, carefully converted stone barn, with inverted accommodation, to one side of a gravelled courtyard shared with the owners own home. Approached by a narrow unmade track in peaceful countryside just outside the village of Mount Hawke, the barn has its own sheltered and gated grassy garden. The beach at Porthtowan is within 1.5 miles by road or a steady half an hours walk by footpath, St Agnes and Chapel Porth are about three miles and Mount Hawke which has a few small shops, a pub and post office is about half a mile. There is easy access to the A30 for visits West to Penzance and St Ives and East to the Eden Project. Stay - The Accommodation...The wide stable door on the first floor which can be reached by granite steps or a gentle slope, opens into a spacious living room with a polished pine floor and a beamed ceiling open to the apex of the roof. It comprises a neat fitted kitchen area of limed oak, a pine dining area and comfortable lounge seating. From the kitchen a door opens to a useful cloakroom with an adjacent W.C. and small hand basin. Carpeted stairs lead down to a ground floor hallway where there are three pleasant bedrooms and a bathroom W.C. with wash basin, bath with hand shower and separate shower cubicle. The two larger bedrooms, a kingsize double and one with adult size 3ft bunks, both have French windows. The third bedroom, reached by two steps, has a single bed. There is parking for two cars on the gravel driveway adjacent to the barn and the country garden extends around two sides of the property with a sloping lawn and mature trees bordering the fields beyond.Don't forget...- Bath towels are not available but tea towels and hand towels are provided.- Sorry, this property does not accept pets

Perfect Getaway

Beautiful little cottage, in a picturesque little village! Perfectly located; walking distance to the beach, close driving distance to all the best attractions! Really welcoming and friendly owners, we couldn’t recommend this property anymore!

Lovely, relaxing break

We loved our week in Cornwall staying in Mount Hawke. Easy to get to all the places we wanted to go and some nice walks locally too. We walked over to Porthtowan Beach and had a lovely lunch at the cafe before walking back over the hills. Lovely holiday home, lovely owner and hope to be back soon!
