As always, we had a relaxing time on the lake with our dogs. We've rented from Patti for years. She is awesome and we love to send her pictures! House is beautiful. Until next time!
Our stay was excellent. The accommodations far exceeded our expectations. Access to the lake with a dock was delightful and so easy. The house had every imaginable utensil and dishes you could imagine. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. Couldn’t really find anything to complain lain about. Will stay there again.
A lovely, peaceful spot at the north end of the lake where you can hear Loons, broad winged hawk, Scarlet Tanager, Chickadees, Sparrows and a whole host of other wonderful birds. New dock was a great place to sit and relax watching fishing boats, pontoon boats and Loons float by. Interior of the home was updated, clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend and will go back again some day.
Wonderful property right on the lake. Fully stocked kitchen, comfortable living room and large dining room table. Everything you need for a great Maine vacation.
The property location was amazing! The lake views were great and it was very quiet. This is a great camp rental location. Good amount of space in the house to spread out. Kitchen has pretty much everything you need for cooking etc. Plenty of outside area for dogs to run around if you bring them. Neighbors dog kept running over to say hi and was very sweet. The path down to the dock is a little steep and would be difficult if you have mobility issues but that was mentioned in the listing. The only downside was having to bring all your own bed sheets, pillows and towels and dish soaps, toilet paper etc. Luckily most people in my party were driving but if you are flying in for vacation keep that in mind. There is a Walmart and Hannaford in the area if needed. Norway is a cute downtown with great coffee shop and you have to check out Fiber and Vine if you like to knit. 290 Main has a great patio and food. All in all it was a great location and I would stay again!! I booked it to have a relaxing weekend with my friends and family and it did not disappoint!
We had such a wonderful stay here! The property is amazing—the photos don’t do it justice. You are pretty much surrounded by lake and enjoy gorgeous panoramic views. And the house sits at the north end of the lake where there are fewer houses and lots of wild area to explore by canoe or kayak (both provided). We enjoyed swimming to the floating dock and using all the tubes and noodles provided. The house itself was perfect for us—really large rooms and a basement with a ping pong table and lots of
room for kids to play. There’s also a large sandbox outside that our kids loved. And two fire pits! The inside of the house isn’t fancy, which was perfect for us (so we were less worried about our kids messing things up). Such a fabulous summer getaway!
I stayed in this wonderful lake home with my husband, adult son and two close friends. We had a great week full of fishing, swimming, kayaking, loafing, reading, playing games, making s'mores, and taking in the amazing amount of wildlife! This home is well maintained and has everything you need! It is a perfect spot on a lake- we will be back!
My wife and I rented for a week with our newborn and dogs. We had a wonderful time the home is large, has a beautiful property with a nice big yard, even a fire pit area overlooking the water. Fairly private setting with camps on only one side of the home. Pretty hard pressed to find a better place to spend a week. The only lacking was a small floating dock that left me worrying about tying my 19 ft. Boat on, but fine for anyone else.
This being the year of CoVid-2019 things were a bit off everywhere. I believe that most of the families withdrew from renting their Maine camps this summer and this one was no exception. I believe it was just us and one other family this summer in this particular location. Nonetheless, the location was exquisite, with panoramic water views well over 180 degrees from the house. Water access was not great but at least reasonable for kayakers, but no problem at all for the swimmers. We took a refreshing plunge from the dock every morning and the mid August water was perfect. We were joined at the camp by a brotherhood of four ducks that stayed around the camp’s shore for our two week stay. Loons were out there but not in the same numbers that we’ve experienced in prior visits to Norway Lake. The camp itself was well equipped, beds were comfortable, it offered a nice large kitchen table, a four stool kitchen bar that worked well for the kids, bumper pool and ping pong in the basement, a beautiful glassed porch with a pull out bed for an incredible near to nature sleep experience, a generously sized fridge/freezer, microwave, and stove/range. All of our family enjoyed the stay. The north end of Norway Lake is the more natural end, where fishermen can be seen casting in the early morning hours. Swimming was excellent, kayaking was excellent (albeit boats had to be carried about 50 ft or so up from the dock to a flat zone- not really an issue). All in all a great and memorable stay!
Great house on the end of a camp road with plenty of room inside and out for our large family. The kitchen had everything we needed including a large lobster pot. The canoe, kayak, dock, and swimming float are excellent. No beach, but we could wade with the toddler by the shore. There is an awesome fire pit area and plenty of grass to pitch a tent, if anyone wants that experience. Warn your teenagers that there is no wifi or smartTV (certainly not missed by most of us!). We have family in the area which made bringing our own linens and removing the trash easier for us than it may be for others.
Great brewery, bookstore, and cafe downtown. Easy communication with the owner. We hope to be able to stay again next summer!
We had an amazing week stay at this home! The house is roomy and comfortable and the surroundings are peaceful. The owner is very responsive to any need/questions. We would come back for sure.

Wonderful, spacious lake house. Plenty of winter fun.
We shared this house with several friends over New Years. There were a few weather related issues that came up, but the owner went above and beyond to address all of them and we had a wonderful time. The house is very comfortable with great space and amenities. The area has great skiing and snowshoeing (including right out the door).

great place
This rental was a very enjoyable stay. You are situated at the end of the road with the lake on 2 sides of the house. You have wonderful views from many different spots in and outside the house. Our group had 8 people in it and we were very comfortable here with plenty of room. You could easily add a few more people in the house. We enjoyed time on the lake with swimming, kayaking and we brought tubes to float in. The communication with the owner, Patti was quick and easy. We stayed 3 nights and wished it was longer. I would definitely rent this property again.
