PEI

The cottage was in a great location. Curtis was very helpful; we needed more blankets and he brought them that night. There was an issue in one of the bathrooms and he fixed it the following day. Curtis went out of his way to make sure we had a nice stay in PEI and we did. Thanks you!

Overall it was okay. However, we found it had Insufficient bathroom accommodations for our group of 7. Disappointed in the quality of the bedding and towels. Cleanliness of spa was lacking. Lack of space to hang clothes or unpack. Need of nightstands for charging electronics and nighttime items.

Overall very satisfied with our stay at the house

Great house and very well equipped Bit of a ride to the best beaches but not a problem If we were giving some constructive advice we would say invest in some new beds and some fluffy towels!

We loved the house and all of the space! It fit our large family well

We found the house to be in a great location for day trips and explored a lot of the island. Curtis had great tips and recommendations for us and we explored all of them! We loved opening the front door in the morning and smelling the ocean. We would definitely stay here again

Another successful visit

Thank you Curtis and Kelly for the use of your property for another visit. Again we enjoyed every aspect of our visit. After days of sun, sand and wind, my two granddaughters welcomed the quiet of the rural location of the house. Since their bedtime is roughly 7 p.m. we were grateful to have the quiet outside so they could rest without the sound of other travellers enjoying themselves in the evening. We love Belmont park as a wind down after a busy day. Blake and I went up and sat on the bluffs for a whole afternoon.. It was a great vacation and Harlow is asking to return to the "Yellow House" already.

Peaceful

A wonderful house that is within short driving distance to all that is required. Chris is a class act and extremely helpful (he even manage that we have access to lobsters right off the boat). This house made my family vacation much more enjoyable and I will certainly book again next time we go to PEI. Where else can you see two bald eagles in the middle of a herd of cows?

Beautiful, well-equipped house, very helpful, caring owners

We had a great time. Very nice property, beautifully decorated and very new, very clean. Quiet location. Owners were very quick to respond to any questions we had, and reacted quickly to resolve any issues (just to be clear, there were no major issues. But for example, when the broom broke and we let them know, they brought us a new broom the same day). The house is not "close to the action"... if you want to be in the thick of Charlottetown or Cavendish it may not be for you. But if you want to see some of the quieter parts of the island and some of the less populated beaches, it is very centrally located, with lots of great stuff to see and do within a 1-hour drive. Oh yeah: and the Tyne Valley Oyster festival is only 20 minutes away and it is awesome.

The perfect place for our family

This house provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay in PEI. Having the dogs with us made everything easier and added to the dollar value of the rental. (Putting them in kennels would have been expensive). We just kennelled in the garage when we were away. The location was really central for us and allowed us easy access to all the things we had planned for the trip. We really appreciated the Belmont Provincial Park so close to your home since it was a place to run to in the evenings to finish off an active day. We flew kites a couple of days there and the kids loved the playground equipment. Although small the park provided a nice end to the day. The children appreciated the railway track in their bedroom and having the big backyard really helped to tire them out. It was a good place to play Bocce balls (?) and also the BBQ worked well for us. I think we only ate out 3 times all week when we were on the road. So again, it was a good financial investment because the kitchen was so accommodating. With the 8 of us, the dishwasher was certainly appreciated. Having a washer/dryer was convenient with the amount of dirty clothes that children generate on a beach vacation. I have to mention that we found the beds a little creaky, particularly in my son's room with the darker comforter on it. He is a big man (6foot 3) and he found it sounded like there was plastic on the mattress or the box spring creaked every time he moved. He ended up sleeping on the couch. The rest of us were fine. The recommendation by another reviewer to take towels was a good one. Really, it is only reasonable to expect to take towels to cover your trips to the beach. If we ran out, though, the washer was there to take up the slack.. I would recommend this property to anyone wanting a restful place to crash to after busy days. We stayed around a couple of days just to enjoy the area because the house was so relaxing. Thanks, Curtis, for making us feel really comfortable. This vacation will be remembered for years. Meanwhile I have the family asking us for a "re-do" next year.

Spacious property and friendly helpful host

We had a wonderful time in PEI and checking into this lovely spacious home was the beginning of our vacation. The yard was big enough for kids to run around in and adults to enjoy. A large rabbit supplied entertainment on more than one occasion and a fox was spotted one evening (from the opposite side of the property). From this property we were able to visit various landmarks plus take part in local festivals as well. Curtis was very helpful with local knowledge such as beaches and the best place for fresh lobster and was always only a text or phone call away.

Amazing

This was a fantastic stay, the property is close to the water and the owners were amazing to deal with - they even were able to get us fresh lobster delivered to the home with below market price. The house itself is spotless and well equipped, beds were comfortable, lots of space, great backyard deck and beautiful view of the Malpeque Bay. We highly recommend the property and we will be back hopefully some day in the near future!!

Fantastic vacation home

The home was exactly as presented. We were a party of 7. Two families. The kitchen was well supplied with all you need to cook and serve with. The beds were comfortable and the house spotless. The location was extremely quiet and peaceful. The garage was a bonus for our dogs to spend the day in while we were out. It was cool and had windows for a breeze. The back yard is huge with a deck and seating and BBQ. The owners of the home were awesome ,respectful and helpful. I highly recommend this as a place to stay in PEI. Thanks for providing our families with a great place to vacation !

excellent

The house was everything you see advertised. It was just perfect for us especially with the kids. Roomy, modern, clean and quiet. I know that area of PEI pretty well and thought the location was perfect. The park right down the street was beautiful. Very accommodating. Thank you Curtis!

Great home for a larger group

My party of 7 adults stayed from July 19th until July 26th, 2016. Not having to book Saturday to Saturday was a plus since we needed extra time to drive from (and back to) Ontario. This was a very roomy modern house with enough beds to sleep 7 people. There were two couches which happened to serve as a bed, at one point, when two of the people did not want to share a double bed anymore. (I was told the couch was comfortable to sleep on.) The house had pretty much everything that was listed in the ad. It is a few minutes outside the town of Miscouche on a quiet road. A little out of the way from the major things people want to see but close enough to Summerside to enjoy lobster dinners and ice cream. We planned on doing a lot of touring so really, it was not an inconvenience at all. In general, a lot of beaches, restaurants, etc. were within an hour or so drive. When I needed to get in touch with the owner (by cell phone), he always replied within about an hour or less. He was also more than accommodating if we needed something extra to be done. I got the feeling that he really wanted our stay to be as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Another plus was being able to use some of the sundries that were provided: dish soap, laundry soap, etc. For a group as big as ours, I would still recommend bringing extra towels, wash cloths and dish cloths (for obvious reasons - a lot of people can go through a lot of laundry). This really was a home away from home. Thanks Curtis!
