Secluded Pocono lodge, perfect for a weekend getaway with friends or family
This unique Lodge is nicely secluded and completely surrounded by woods and nature. Enjoy the best of both worlds with excellent privacy and seclusion at the house, with many amenities just a short drive away. The house sits on almost 3 acres and backs up to 100 acres of land owned by the Boy Scouts. It truly is a perfect destination to enjoy nature at its finest without sacrificing comfort. There is a large deck that overlooks the fire pit area, which is perfect to sit around and enjoy s'mores with friends and family! Sit and have drinks, play music, enjoy yourselves and be as loud as you would like. This location is extremely versatile - in the summer it is excellent for fishing, tubing, kayaking, hiking and swimming. In the winter it is great for skiing at local resorts! The house has a Full Kitchen, a spacious living room with a wrap-around couch and 55" TV, 3 Bedrooms (the Master bedroom being a charming loft), 2 full bathrooms, and basement with a unique "man cave" that includes a pool table. My family has owned homes in this same development since I was very young and we have always enjoyed our trips to the mountains (regardless of the season) - and I know you will too!

Very secluded cabin. We enjoyed our stay. Host was responsive. Exactly what we were looking for. If you are looking for that nice rustic feel, away from everything, you'll enjoy this spot.
Very bad experience, we rent it since September 3rd for a Christmas weekend trip and the owner canceled the day of our trip December 23rd, very unprofessional, never send us any information about the keys and never answer the phone calls. Very upset and disappointed, you don't do that to a family specially in Christmas.
My family and I had a fantastic time staying at this property. The home was clean and exactly as described and pictured on the website. The host was responsive and easy to communicate with. The game room in the basement was great for my teenage kids. There’s plenty of land to explore nature around the property and it’s very secluded. This is definitely a place we would love to return to very soon.
We stayed for a week - myself, my husband, 2 teenage boys (15 & 17) and our golden retriever. Located within about 20 minutes of most of what we wanted to do. Once you connect to the WiFi, we had no issues with connecting. Nearby family even came one night to grill too! Owner of as very responsive and helpful. Great place for a family to stay!

Quick Getaway
Overall we enjoyed our stay and was perfect for a quick weekend getaway with some friends. Communication with the property manager lacked. Couldn’t get in touch with anyone up until the day before after sending messages and making a phone call. After communicating with VRBO, the manager contacted via text message. The place was somewhat newly renovated and very clean on the inside when we arrived. Outside the property not very appealing. Location very secluded and perfect for quiet time away from the outside world. Also located near town and in driving distance.
This is the second year we’ve rented this house. The owner is very nice and helpful
The house is clean and fully stocked
You can’t beat the property
The privacy is the best
If you love nature this is the house for you
This is a beautiful property set back away from the neighbors on the street. This is our third time staying here. And we would absolutely stay here again. Everything you need for your Poconos get away.
This property is fantastic! It's feels quite isolated in the woods (as the last house on the street). No worries about neighbors. Great back deck overlooking the woods and firepit down below. Wonderful "mancave" game room in the basement. Plenty of rooms and beds. Great spot for a party getaway.

Nice property set back in the Poconos
Great location set back in the woods in the Poconos. Short drive to plenty of activities. Neighbors were fairly close, however not really visible from the property. The house was a little dated, as was the furniture inside. Not a very clean home and the shower in the basement did not work (low water pressure and no hot water). There was A/C, but only in 1 room making the house very warm. No cable either. There was a Roku but no cords to make it work. Regardless, we had a great time as we were there for a bachelor party and cleanliness was not a priority of ours. We streamed all our tv thru our laptops as the wifi was sufficient. Not sure if I’d ever return, but we were content enough to have a good time.
Easy booking, easy check-in.. Place was clean..Plenty of firewood on site. Plenty of privacy. Place is stocked with pots and pans including grilling utensils. Plenty of shopping and dining a short drive away..
Huge slope leading down to the fire pit area. So might not be kid friendly..
Overall all the guys had a great time at this property. I would definitely recommend to my friends.
We wanted a cabin experience with all of the comforts of home. This property gave us that. It was a mix of rustic and modern and everyone loved it there. We would absolutely stay again. Jake, the owner, was very responsive to my messages.
This is close enough to drive to but located at the end of the circle where it feels like you are the only house for miles. This is my second time staying here for the weekend with friends. I would do it for a third time. Everything we need.
We wanted to get out of the city and do some nature sightseeing, hiking and biking. Accomplished all that and more. Perfect location to base your Pocono stay and move about from there.
Property is very secluded and when it’s dark... it’s dark. Exterior lighting is lacking big time, no deck rail lights to enjoy deck at night, and there are solar driveway lights but few if any work when on approach at night. Lightning outside was a complete bummer because if you didn’t make it down to the fire pit before sunset, very little chance of heading there after dark. I also had to put our headlights and takedown lights on my vehicle to illuminate the area just to walk our small dog after dark. Grill wasn’t the cleanest either so we did not use.
Never got an answer what to do with our interior trash as in where it goes outside. We ended up keeping trash inside until departure day. We twice had to fix, relocate and clean the driveway entrance of toppled trash cans and strewn bags that block access courtesy of what I can only assume to be bears. Not really what we wanted to be doing after long days out but if we didn’t we couldn’t get up the drive. Maybe an instruction or “what to do if” list in property is needed.
Interior was nice, well appointed and roomy. We did have a mouse running around one night but hey we were literally in a Forrest so I’m sure that happens often. All appliances work well. The kitchen sink and faucet area definitely need updating Sink is chipping of porcelain and the faucet is coming apart.
Owner was very responsive leading up to our trip and actual day of... He was a good source of information. And, it was appreciated.
Rated of 4 overall. Jake is really nice, it’s a great location, but I really wanted to enjoy more of the exterior deck and fire pit at night and with very insufficient lighting...it just wasn’t possible.
We will return however and hope these issues have been addressed. Thank you it was a great week.
My family and I enjoyed the whole experience. It was one of the best vacation's by far peace and relaxation from the inner city. This will not be the last log cabin experience for us.

quick trip to the Poconos
The house was clean and nicely secluded in the woods. The kitchen is well-equipped. The bathrooms are nice and updated and the beds are very comfortable. The fire pit has plenty of wood, though you need to be careful due to broken glass and nails on the ground around the pit. The house does not have cable as advertised--it has a Roku which does not have live TV and you need to have access to streaming sites to use it. This was not a huge issue, but something to consider as the listing indicates there is cable/TV and there isn't. You should bring your own paper products--toilet paper, napkins and paper towels. We had a difficult time communicating with the owner through VRBO and never received the check in information through the VRBO site--we had to text Jake several times to get this information. Also, there was a bit of confusion about who we were communicating with-- we eventually received a different number to text/call and communication improved after that. We were there during the recent hurricane, which understandably impacts communication, however, our issues with communication pre-dated the storm.
From the moment we arrived, Jake was a big help. The house was exactly as described. Towels were provided, as well as extra pillows and blankets. It was perfect for our family of 10. Definitely give this place a try, especially if you're looking for a secluded cabin in the woods!! (:
This is my second time coming back and Jake once again was great he answered text messages right away if we had any problems. He made sure we had enough fire wood. The house was very clean when we arrived. The fire pit is big so you can have a huge fire at with your friends and stay warm even in the cold night. The house is big and is great for accommodating a big group can’t wait to come back.
Jake took great care of us. We had everything we needed. The property was exactly as advertised. He even made sure we had a full propane tank and extra fire wood. The owners have a beautiful house that is tucked away at the end of a circle. It feels like you are the only people around. We will definitely be looking to stay here again next year
We had a beautiful October wedding weekend, hosting family and our son’s rehearsal dinner, at Jake’s home.
This fairly isolated cabin was the perfect spot for our immediate family to stay, and the wedding party to relax, the night before the big day.
First impressions...you are close enough to neighbors without worrying at all about entertaining on the huge deck or below at the camp fire. Upon entering, you will find an eclectic grouping of furniture and decorations, that create the feeling that you are staying the night at a friend’s vacation home, one who hunts and displays taxidermied critters. With a definite rustic hunter’s cabin feel -real, no impostor here-you are provided with all you need. Again, think summer camp!
We brought tons of food and there was space to create buffet stations by using the unique hand made tables found throughout. A full size refrigerator held all we brought-and I always overpack food/snacks. Everyone relaxed and enjoyed themselves.
So you are not surprised, some things of which to be aware, but nothing that would stop us from renting again!
*Small, older beds with mismatched sheets. May want to bring your own. We brought our own blankets and pillows. *You will need your own towels. The two big bathrooms with modern showers were great.
*It is dark. There are a variety of lighting fixtures, think of your grandparent’s attic, that light areas of each room-with a couple of modern updates.
*The kitchen, much like the unique home, is made up of mismatched utensils, plates, cups...but we brought all of our own disposable wear so did not actually use these items. Necessities are provided, TP, paper towels, and dish soap, plus items left from past renters for further use. .
Owner Interactions:
Jake responded to each email I sent and helped make this diamond in the rough, an experience for all of us to remember. He accommodated our needs, provided firewood, and was genuinely excited to know his house was being used for this special occasion.
The house was beautiful, very clean, and tidy. We loved being able to check out later than most places allow. The house was stocked with everything you could need. There was an abundance of garbage bags, paper towels, and toliet paper. Jake was very friendly and made sure that we were enjoying our stay. The home is very pet friendly and our dog greatly enjoyed running around the grounds. We look forward to staying again. The photos in the listing don't do the home justice. It truly was a wonderful experience.
This property was so much fun house was clean and the owner was amazing if we had any problem he was getting back to us within 20 minutes tops he was helpful with figuring out things super nice and always thought about my group definitely would go back we definitely are going back to the house
Where do I start? What a great cabin. Location is exactly what we were looking for....secluded. This place has all the comforts of home, and some. Nothing better than the massive deck, overlooking our fire while tossing some corn hole. Honestly, pictures do not do this placer justice. Our group thought it was much bigger than the pictures indicated. Jake is awesome to deal with...and clearly a very good hunter. This place feels like home, and we really appreciate Jake allowing us to use his cabin. Would recommend to anyone wanting to get away and kick back.
Thank you Jake for allowing us to stay at your place. We might have to make this an annual trip!

I am from Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and have been traveling to the Poconos ever since I was a young child. I truly love this area and think you will too!
Why they chose this property
I have been traveling to this area of the Poconos ever since I was a kid, and I was extremely excited at the opportunity to purchase my own home when a family friend alerted us that he was ready to sell. This property is at the end of a culdesac (the street is named after the original owner whom I purchased it from) and offers excellent privacy and seclusion, with plenty of space in the home and the land itself.
What makes this property unique
True seclusion,. You drive through a small culdesac to get to my home, and essentially enter the driveway through the woods. From the backyard, you can't really be seen by anyone, and nobody has ever given us a hard time about noise back there.
