About this property
The Rooms of the Borgo holiday home
The village is 29 km from Cefalù, 15 km from the beaches of Campofelice, 68 km from Palermo.
The house is located within the village, is located on 2 floors plus a top terrace with a magnificent view of the country, the surrounding mountains and the sea. On the first floor there is a living room with separate cooking area, a room with sun loungers and a bathroom. Upstairs two double bedrooms and a bathroom. On the top floor, laundry and access to the terrace, equipped with barbecue, dining table and deckchairs. The house, which can accommodate up to 7 people, comes with kitchen, fridge, microwave, WiFi free, methane heating, vacuum cleaner, hairdryer, washing machine, iron, bath towels and bedding.
Located in the hinterland of Cefalù, on the immediate propaganda of the Madonie, Collesano maintains its medieval setting around the remains of the Norman castle, with narrow streets connected by alleys and stairs that converge on Piazza Garibaldi. The Castle of Collesano was built during Norman domination. Due to the earthquake of 1693, much of the castle was destroyed. The structure was completely abandoned and today there are only a few walls. On the course Vittorio Emanuele, which departs from it, faces the Mother Church, dating back to the late 15th century (the same period, the Gothic-Catalan portal on the right flank) and preceded by a scenic staircase. Collesano is also home to the Targa Florio Museum, where the history of one of the oldest automobile races in the world is documented, which, from 1906 to 1977, took place along the winding streets of the Madonie.
