Charming farmhouse close to London - sleeps 8

This beautiful character home is a perfect base for exploring the Kent countryside & coast & the top attractions of London. Bexley Village is bustling with pubs and restaurants & has great, reliable transport links. Down a private track in a delightfully secluded plot of over 3 acres, you will forget you are so close to London. Enjoy the spacious house or alfresco dining on the sun terrace with views overlooking the gardens.

For up to 8 guests, we think that our Farmhouse offers the perfect get away for either two families or three couples. There is also the option to combine the booking with our secluded riverside apartment, for up to 4 further adults.

We offer guests a truly unique experience but if you don't enjoy animals, it may not be right for you! Our pets, the dog, cat and peafowl, do roam freely throughout the outside spaces and so you should be comfortable with animals to get the most from your stay. Also our children are happy to share their garden with guests, but they may be playing in the outside spaces too.

The farmhouse house offers 3 super king bedrooms, and one twin room.

At the back of the house is the master bedroom, with a 4 poster bed and stunning views of the grounds. Directly adjacent to this bedroom is the second super king bedroom, also with a beautiful view, and with an ensuite shower room.

To the front of the house is the third super king room with an ensuite shower room. Next to this room is the twin room which has a sink unit.

There is a family bathroom upstairs and a second toilet downstairs.

If you are travelling with children we have a travel cot and highchair available - and they will love our shared gardens, which our children will happily show you around.

The Farmhouse boasts a large lounge with open fireplace. A separate small reading space forms part of the lounge. With views overlooking the gardens, a patio door leads directly onto the sun terrace with comfortable garden furniture. There is a large farmhouse kitchen with a breakfast bar, separate utility room and adjacent dining room. The kitchen has a coffee machine that takes Nespresso Vertuo capsules, but we supply an accessory that allows you to use any ground coffee.

This is a charming rare location so close to London with easy accessibility into Kent. Mill Meadows Farmhouse is situated in Bexley Village which is bustling with restaurants, public houses and delicatessens.

GUEST ACCESS

The Farmhouse has a private garden, and there is a large shared garden. We also have our own garden where our Peafowl Coup is situated. We kindly ask for guests not to enter our private garden, but you are welcome throughout the other garden areas accessible from the rental properties.

We do have a gated field with llamas and alpacas, but we ask that you don't enter this space as it has a river adjacent that is not fenced and is deep in parts.

Our family business of restoring antique cars is on site, and so we ask for guests to be mindful that this means machinery may be being operated. Children must be supervised when outside please.

You are welcome to use our outside Kitchen, please remember to purchase logs and charcoal for these, and just let us know as we enjoy spontaneous gatherings in this space with our family and friends, and we then won't plan to use it at the same time.

OTHER DETAILS TO NOTE

Late check out when available is charged by the hour, but we respectfully note that we can't promise this due to the schedule of our cleaners.

We respectfully ask for guests to leave the Farmhouse in a clean and tidy state at the end of their booking with all used linen stripped from the beds.

Children & safety
Children are welcome at the Farmhouse however they do need to be supervised and guests should note some of the traditional features of the house that may be unsafe for unsupervised children, for example the Crittall windows have low openings and so you must be vigilant if you are staying with young guests.

Pets
We do not permit guests to bring pets as it upsets and poses a risk to our own – sorry!

Smoking
Mill Meadows Farm is a non-smoking site.

Guests
The Farmhouse has been equipped for a maximum of 6 adults and 2 children. No more than this are permitted to stay within the house. We also have a strict no visitor policy.

Quiet hours
To respect our neighbours, and our family, we ask for no parties, and no loud noise in the outside spaces. We have guests staying most weekends, and so we have to be careful of not becoming a "party house".

Shoes
We ask kindly if guests could refrain from wearing shoes upstairs in the house.
