Could do better

The property was easy to find and within walking distance of the town. However, we had no hot water on the first morning and there were at least 5 light bulbs missing. Had to call the Caretaker to sort the water but the bulbs and thermostat should have been checked. The bathroom is really dated and electric shower didn't work on the last day. As a party of 6 adults we expected to find the kitchen better equipped as we were cooking a Christmas dinner. No oven gloves or handle for the grill pan. Hardly any utensils and you needed to wash plates and glasses constantly as only bear minimum provided. Kitchen cupboard and drawer contained crumbs and hair. Only 2 dishwasher tablets provided Seating and dining area very pleasant and able to seat all of us.

Very pleasant stay at Mena Gwins. Very clean but needs updating very 1980's in decor.

Whilst new furniture in lounge/dining room, very outdated décor. Did report to caretaker handrail/bannister loose and stated there was a hairdryer in main bedroom on line but there was not fortunately I had brought my own. We had a lot of rain and also reported that gutters need clearing or repairing as overflowing, especially at the front of the house it was all damp by the front door outside. If this were my property I would want it sorted asap as this will cause damage. Separate shower room the shower head had been fitted the wrong way. My husband is a tradesman and said this was the problem as it was facing the wrong way. On the whole a very pleasant stay.
