VERY DISAPPOINTING - Damp and mouldy

We were very disappointed with our stay and feel that the property is not suitable for use in the winter. Although the cottage was clean and well presented, it is a lot smaller than it appears in the advert. We had been really looking forward to a relaxing New Year, but the tv signal was frustratingly very poor and often non-existent. After the first couple of days black mould appeared on the double bedroom wall. Worse still, there was terrible condensation in the porch and torrential rain caused water to come through the wood pannelling and pool onto the living room floor, next to the electrics. Finally, one of the living room chairs collapsed as I sat on it and on inspection had clearly been repaired before. By the end of the week we felt unwell with coughs and colds and our clothes reeked of damp and dangerous mould. We passed our complaints to the owner, with photos to back up our comments, but were fobbed off and seemingly not believed. We had taken the decosion not to contact the owner during our stay, as we had just returned from a funeral and needed some privacy. Also it was New Year and anyway we fail to see how the owner could have resolved these serious issues duing our week's stay. During the last couple of years we have stayed in no less than 15 Air B and bs and rental properties and this is the first time we have sadly have cause to complain.
