1 night getaway

We spent the day wine tasting and ended our day here, we had planned ahead and booked, which was painless and reasonable. We closed the winery down! We joined the wine club it was so good! After we were done, we walked across the parking lot and got into the cabin very quickly! I was very pleasantly surprised with the accommodations! The bed was comfortable, the shower was strong and hot! The complimentary muffins, champagne and orange juice was the biggest and best surprise! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We definitely will be back, quite often since we joined the wine club!

Good location!

The cabin was very peaceful and wine was within walking distance. King size bed was comfy and shower pressure felt wonderful after a good day outdoors. No streaming or Netflix but who needs it really!

Weekend in Fredricksburg

We loved the location and small house set up. The rooms smelled a little musty when we arrived and had to open up all the windows. Other than that the stay was great.

Perfect getaway

Loved the cottage for a bunch of reasons. It was off the highway so it was quiet. It was separate from other dwellings and it was very spacious. The location put you close enough to downtown where it was about a ten minute drive, but far enough away to avoid crowds if you choose to do so.

Nice place to stay.

We had a great time. It was centrally located to many of the wineries. It was clean and spacious and had everything needed for a few day stay in hill country.

Quaint Cottage

I wish it was a true b&b. Plus, I wish we had known that the Hill Country Messina Hof didn't have a restaurant. I don't think there was a distinction between the locations with or without restaurants. We did have the deluxe cheeses when we did the wine tasting but being able to get an actual meal would have made a difference. The place was clean and quiet, which was awesome. Awesome shower!!!

Wonderful vacation

The cabin was spacious and very peaceful! Even though it was closer to the highway than we had expected, we still felt isolated and private! We loved watching the deer at Dusk behind the cabins in the trees. The winery was excellent with wonderfully knowledgeable staff! We wish we had spent more time there.

Restful three days

We enjoyed the privacy and space that our cottage offers. The small touches in the cottage made us feel welcomed. From the great bottle of sparkling Rosa to the fluffy pillows was sweet. I missed not be able to utilize the TV. I guess it was not working at the time. We will be visiting annually. GW

Birthday getaway

I wanted to take my wife to a winery B and B in Fredericksburg for her birthday, I couldn’t have made a better choice, The place is very nice! She loved it! When the ladies at VACASA found out that the local florist was unable to deliver birthday flowers to our cabin before our arrival, they wanted to help make sure that her birthday was special. They decorated with birthday banners and delicious cupcakes,! My wife was so happy that she cried ! They helped make her birthday perfect! The ladies at Vacasa are AMAZING!

Just Okay

While I enjoy a good antique, this bedroom furniture was so outdated it made the room smell awful. The old pictures hanging from the lamp of someone’s likely deceased family members make it a little too “personalized” for my taste. During a heavy rain our room took on water and soaked a few of our belongings. We didn’t know the back doors leaked from the porch. The 2 pillows we did have maybe had one feather each in them. So flat and uncomfortable. The complimentary breakfast & snacks looked like the person before us left their Walmart old groceries. The locks and doors were tricky and we never got a complimentary daily refresh. I wouldn’t book this cottage again.

Messina HOF Cottage

Very clean & well stocked. Enjoyed privacy, while still in close proximity to downtown Fredericksburg and other points of interest. Only negative issue was a software update notice blocking bottom portion of tv screen, which could not be removed.

Lovely private retreat

Having the whole building to ourselves felt like we were in a honeymoon suite-though that was 29 years ago! Can’t wait to return once COVID is past, to sample the wines on a weekday & hear the local music. We visited the Messina Hof Bryan location after this one to capture more of their experience. Fabulous!

Beautiful place

The people at Messina Hof were excellent. Along with the reservation we received a free bottle of wine and a free tasting at the winery. The accommodations were perfect for a romantic getaway. If you are not wanting to stay in downtown Fredericksburg this is a great place. It is very peaceful and close to several wineries
