THE AREA:
Plenty of trees, nature plus quiet, walkable roads in the subdivision and fresh air! Nature at its best, with peaceful flora and fauna. A short drive to downtown South Haven or nearby Saugatuck provides free public beaches, many restaurant cuisine options, shopping, antiques and the marina. Tons of berry picking and apple picking/orchards on local nearby farms, depending on season. Tons of local, unique stores and boutiques to explore. Antiquing all over. Downtown South Haven has plenty to see, our favorites restaurants include The Idler Riverboat Restaurant, Taste Restaurant (light bites/tapas), Captain Lou's Bar and Grill, and perusing the Farmers Market in spring/summer on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Be sure to check out Dutch Farm Market Grocery for local produce and goods (best donuts!), plus Crane's Pie Pantry and Restaurant in nearby Fennville, MI, good for big groups, home-cooking food, amazing pie, and more fun year-round (hayrides and corn maze in the Fall!)
