About this property
Villa Il Galero: stay in a historic villa for your holidays in Asolo
VILLA IL GALERO is AVAILABLE FOR MINIMUM 3 NIGHT STAYS
Asolo is the pearl of Veneto and "the city of a hundred horizons" as Giosuè Carducci had written. A place of charm that extends between the gentle hills, a destination for poets and writers, artists and travelers. A visit to this enchanting medieval town allows you to combine the taste for history and culture with the pleasures of good food and the discovery of renowned craftsmanship.
Villa Il Galero is a 17th century villa, located a few steps from the center of Asolo. For your dream vacation, we offer you private rooms inside the Villa equipped with every comfort and surrounded by an exclusive garden park. The ideal place for a relaxing holiday in a pleasant atmosphere.
The Galero, authentic Villa Veneta, stands in a panoramic position, under the fortress of the well-known medieval town of Asolo. From here you can enjoy a spectacular view of the surrounding plain, where on clear days you can see the Euganean Hills and Venice in the distance. The villa, built in 1691 by Cardinal Rubini, nephew of Alexander VIII, has always been well preserved and the current owners have decided to open its doors to a sensitive and attentive public, capable of capturing its beauty.
The Villa "Il Galero" is composed of four bodies: the villa in the center, on the sides two wings - the characteristic Venetian barchesse - which were the old stables, stables, barns now transformed into houses and the chapel which was the oldest sacellum in Asolo dedicated to the Madonna. The interiors, elegant and refined, are embellished with high craftsmanship stuccos that enrich the walls and ceilings in the most sophisticated late Baroque movements. The villa is equipped with air conditioning in all rooms, satellite TV and WIFI throughout the property, cot, cot and high chair for children. The property is immersed and surrounded by the greenery of a park garden of century-old trees and plants such as cypresses, olive trees, fruit trees, pitosfori, climbing olives and wisteria, jasmine and a beautiful and very ancient climbing rose garden that in May gives off an inebriating scent . On the terrace and in the outdoor garden there are two relaxation areas with umbrellas and armchairs where you can enjoy the tranquility of the place. On the east side of the house front there is a large panoramic terrace adjacent to the chapel covered by a centenary wisteria pergola from which you can enjoy an exclusive view of the Asolo hills. Villa Il Galero is inserted in an unparalleled artistic context, a few minutes from Villa Barbaro in Maser and the other Palladian villas. Asolo and its territory have a lot to offer for fans of art, history, culture, but also gastronomy. In addition, you can quickly reach the most beautiful cities of Northern Italy such as Venice, Padua, Verona, and the ski resorts in Cortina and in the Dolomites. There are also two golf courses nearby, tennis and a riding center.
