Immaculate 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom family holiday home, recently refurbished and maintained to a very high standard, and available to rent for a handful of weeks per year.

Linen, towels and weekly cleaning are all included and provided within the rental charge quoted.

Midships forms part of an attractive row of period houses, located in an excellent position in the heart of Bembridge.
The house is situated a walk away from the main beaches at Lane End and Forelands, local shops, and the village of Bembridge with its coffee shops, pubs, restaurants, butcher, baker, farm shop and fishmongers supplying locally caught fresh fish. The harbour, sailing clubs and beautiful rolling countryside are also all within walking distance.

The house comprises of the following:
Off street parking for 2 cars. Light sitting room with TV/DVD Player, Freeview satellite television with access to online streaming services. Large sofas providing seating for 6-8 and a selection games to play. Hallway leads to stairs and into the kitchen dining room with 2 sets of french doors leading out to the garden and terrace. The kitchen is very well equipped with integrated AEG appliances, breakfast bar and large round dining table that seats 8 people. Upstairs on the 1st floor there is a twin room with garden views; A second larger twin room also with garden views; A comfortable double bedroom with king size bed and a good size family bathroom with a large walk in shower with high pressure hot water system. Upstairs to the 2nd floor the stairs lead to the master suite with another king size double bed and en suite bathroom room with a large bath. To the rear of the property there is a good-sized, lawned garden with a terraced area with rattan garden dining furniture and a Weber Kettle BBQ. To the side there is an outside shower to wash down wetsuits and wet beach/sailing gear after a day on the beach or on the water.

The house is double glazed and benefits from gas fired central heating which provides constant high pressure hot water and central heating which is controlled by a thermostat in the kitchen.

This is our much loved private holiday home and is used regularly by us throughout the year, but we are also keen for it to be enjoyed as a rental property by friends and families for a handful of weeks in the year. We manage all the bookings ourselves and are available by email or phone to answer any questions you may have.

We have a fantastic cleaner and caretaker who lives nearby and looks after the house for us. We also benefit from having a builder and maintenance manager who knows the house inside out having completely gutted and renovated it for us in 2016! He lives around the corner and is available on call at any time to sort any issues.

All sheets,towels and weekly cleaning are included as well as broadband internet, satellite TV and gas central heating.

Stayed at the well furnished & comfortable property over Christmas. The house was in an ideal place for us to visit family & explore the island. We had everything we needed with plenty local shops, cafe's,restaurants & beaches close by. Would highly recommend for a family holiday.

Beautiful house, so comfortable and superb location

The whole process, from selecting the property, paying and access has been effortless. The house was exactly as described and more. The kitchen very well stocked and because we had small children with us we dined in most evenings which meant cooking was no problem at all. Local shops in walking distance and Bembridge itself is just charming. Made for a very memorable holiday.

Our stay in Bembridge

We are home from a fabulous stay on the Isle of Wight, Bembridge is a great base with a local pub and various restaurants. The Co op has everything you need. This property was great for the 6 of us, plenty of space and a lovely garden. The house is very well presented, clean and spacious. We liked the 11am check out rather than an earlier one so we didn't have to rush our last day.

First visit to Isle of Wight

Ideal property for us as we had dogs. Kitchen was very well equipped and very spacious and the immediate access to the enclosed garden a definite advantage. Property was easy to keep clean and layout really suited our needs. Beds and linen were really comfortable and there was plenty of storage. Loved Bembridge as choice of beaches to walk dogs. Although we never met the property manager because of the regular communication new we could contact him if needed. Would suggest a welcome tray for guests to be able to make a hot drink on arrival.

Very clean, well appointed. Only minor issues were trying to get the TVs to work but property manager most helpful and prompt. With 2 dogs would have been helpful to have had grass cut. But only small items not distracting from overall Excellent Review. We particularly liked the tide clock! Dogs loved the nearby beaches.

Multi generational family holiday for one week

Lovely bright property with ample space for eight of us - six adults and two children. Bembridge has lots of facilities including a fish and chip shop, a chinese take away, two COOP stores and several pubs but it is quite spread out and we found that our elderly parents struggled a little with the walking distances involved. However, Midships is only a few metres from the nearest bus top and on major bus routes which enabled us to leave the cars at home on some days and use public transport. Lovely spot for a traditional seaside holiday with attractions to suit most tastes just a short distance away !

Great house great location

Bembridge is tranquil with beautiful beaches. House located short walk to beach and local/artisan shops. Bus stop close by which we used for the first time to get to Seaview and Ryde. Fantastic sea food at the Beach Hut Cafe

Good holiday

Good size property to stay in, with good size rooms. Kitchen well equipped. (Twin bed mattresses in the smaller twin bedroom are a bit old and need replacing). Beds good size with a nice en-suite attached to attic room. Long thin garden which our grandson enjoyed playing football in. Bembridge is a nice area and Sandown beach, which is close by, was enjoyed by the children and family. We had good weather and a nice week away.

Beautiful House

Tom was lovely to communicate with. House was very clean and very comfortable. Near local shops that sold pretty much all you need. Pubs and beach within walking distance would highly recomend.

Great stay

The property was great and as described; a very well equipped kitchen with plenty of cutlery, crockery etc. We were two families with teenagers & dogs and we had plenty of room. We could just about fit two cars in the driveway but it was tight! Never a problem parking on the road though. The beach is a 10-15 minute walk away, as is the little town centre. We tried a couple of pubs and would recommend the Crab & Lobster Inn. Everywhere was dog friendly!

Fabulous week, glorious weather, lovely house.

The house was perfect for our needs. Immaculately clean and well equipped. Communication with Tom was so easy, and he always responded quickly to any questions before and during our stay. For young adults and middle aged folks alike, Bembridge was a super village with everything we needed including the excellent Village Inn pub and easy access to nearby beaches. We really enjoyed our time at Midships, everything we needed was provided and the property is very well equipped. It is in a fantastic location, walking distance to the village centre yet easy to get straight out into the countryside. Great communication from the host as well.

We have just returned from a very enjoyable stay on the Isle of Wight at Midships in Bembridge. The property was large, very well presented and fully equipped within anything a family would need to make the most of their stay. There was even dishwasher tablets and cleaning products to use. The added bonus for us was that it was dog friendly with a large secure garden. The host, Tom, was very friendly and attentive and responded to any queries swiftly. We left items behind and he took the trouble to get in touch to tell us straight away and even offered to return items by post - very kind. Thank you for the loan of your house Tom. We had a great stay.

We have 3 children and 2 dogs and live in Sussex. We regularly visit the Isle of Wight for weekends and during the school holidays. We love our house in Bembridge where Midships is very much our second home. We really enjoy getting away from the hectic day to day life, being close to the beaches and the sea and enjoying the much slower pace of life it offers!

What makes this property unique

We love our house because it offers so much more space than it looks from the outside and very comfortably sleeps 8 people or two families with plenty of space for everyone. The location is fantastic being just outside the village to avoid the issues noise and restricted parking but still close enough to walk everywhere. There is a good pub just down the road (only 1 min walk!). The beaches at Forelands and the lifeboat station at Lane End are only 10 mins walk away. The fantastic local co-op supermarket is only 3-4 mins walk selling everything you need including fresh fruit and vegetables, wine and beer and it has an in store bakery too. In the opposite direction, the windmill and surrounding countryside are just 5 mins walk and provide access to some amazing dog walks and some breathtaking views across the Island.
