About this property
Bryn Derw - on The world famous Bodnant Garden, owned by the National Trust
Bryn Derw is one of 10 luxury self-catering cottages on The Bodnant Estate, a strikingly beautiful agricultural estate in North Wales. Set in hilly and wooded countryside in the lower reaches of the Conwy Valley, it commands spectacular views across to Snowdonia. Stone cottages and farm buildings have been restored using traditional materials and techniques, and the Estate supports farming and encourages other rural activities. Various houses and cottages in scenic positions on the Estate are available for rent as holiday lets. Come and stay in one of them - and enjoy walking on the many miles of private woodland paths winding through the Estate.
Delightfully restored to a very high standard and decorated in a traditional style complete with a beamed fireplace and french doors leading out to the garden. It is the perfect secluded and tranquil spot, nestled in woodland and overlooking a field.
The world famous Bodnant Garden, owned by the National Trust, is central to the Estate and within one to two miles' walking distance from the properties and open 361 days a year. The garden is famed for its laburnum arch, italianate terraces, waterfalls and national collections of plants.
There are a number of other properties available to book at the Bodnant Estate; Ty Newydd, sleeping eight guests, Ty Cerrig, sleeping seven guests, Lletty, sleeping six guests, Lletty and Annexe, sleeping eight guests, Garth Iwrch, sleeping four guests, Bryn Rhydd, sleeping four guests, Tydden Derwen, sleeping five guests, Minafon sleeping two guests, Ty Ucha'r Ffordd, sleeping two guests and Bryn Mawr, sleeping 7 guests.
Additional Information:
Access to the cottage is via a woodland track.
Fishing permits available at Bodnant Garden Centre.
Please note, the property is situated on a hill and has a steep driveway we do advise to take extra care especially in the winter months.
Travel cot, highchair and stairgate available on request. Please provide your own cot linen.
Due to the remote location, some mobile phone network providers may have limited signal.
Up to two well-behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge). Due to nearby livestock, please keep your pet under careful control.
