About this property

New Modern Mt. Rainier Cabin - Wrap-around deck, Fireplace, Wifi, Netflix + more

This newly built cabin features top of the line amenities. Relax on the spacious wrap-around deck. Snuggle up on the down-filled couch, fire up the propane fireplace and watch a movie. This cabin has all the things you need and nothing you don't!

Feeling adventurous? Go for a snowshoe and use the snowshoes that are available for our guests. Never been on snowshoes before? All you need are some waterproof hiking boots and some snow - the rest is pretty straight forward!

This cabin was a passion project for Tye and Erika. It started with a photo in a magazine, progressed to some drawings, then to some blueprints and eventually the building process began. They say the best way to test a marriage is to build a house together... well, we did that and still love each other!

Blood, sweat, tears were just a few of the ingredients in the making of this cabin! We're proud of it!

A few of the cabin's highlights include:
-Located about 5 minutes from the Nisqually entrance to the park.
- A spacious wrap-around deck surrounded by huge Douglas Fir trees
- Propane grill. Have a beer and grill up some steaks! Check out Double T Meats in Eatonville!
- Outdoor dining area. Enjoy dinner on the deck!
- Propane fireplace to keep things cozy!
- Down filled couch to sink into.
- 55in TV to watch your favorite movies on Netflix.
- Scrabble, backgammon, cribbage board, etc.
- Outdoor firepit. Sit around the fire and sip a glass of wine! S'mores?

Reservations are required to be booked by the person who's going to stay at our cabin. This is to protect us and you, ultimately, should anything go wrong. We rely on reviews and other verification measures that are in place by the vacation rental platforms. If you're trying to book a getaway as a gift for someone else other than you, without any intention of staying at our cabin yourself, then you'll need to workout the finances with whomever you're gifting and they will need to book our cabin directly.

If you book on behalf of someone else without reading the policies, you will be asked to cancel the booking and will be subject to whatever cancellation policy is in place at the time of the booking.

Unique Stay

This cabin is unique and cozy. Great location if you’re visiting Mt. Rainier. It has everything you need and could want-including internet which was hard to come by in the area. The owners put a lot of love into this cabin and it was a pleasure to stay here.

Secluded and peaceful

We had a lovely stay here! It was a weekend away with our toddlers and we felt both secluded and at peace in this perfect little cabin. It's so close to Mt Rainier! Not gonna lie, the French doors were a little tricky to lock and unlock but they gave great directions in the PDF sent before we arrived. So thank you! We would absolutely return and it inspires us to also build a tiny home like this one.

Great Place to Stay

This was a wonderful property. It is located just a few minutes from the west entrance to Mount Rainier National Park. The cabin was immaculate inside and had many amenities. It was super quiet being well away from the highway and the neighborhood was very nice. The furnishings were stylish and gave you a feeling of total relaxation and comfort. I would recommend that everyone going to amount Rainier to stay at the wonderful place.

This was a fabulous place to stay as a home base for hiking in Mount Rainier Ntl Park! We hiked 3 days in the park and this cabin was a safe, clean, relaxing spot to rest at the end of each day. The cabin had everything we needed and is decorated super cute! Very close to the park and places to eat and grab essentials. WiFi was a plus for sure, as well as the info provided by the hosts. Our favorite thing other than the park here is the Nepalese restaurant Wild Berry down the street! Definitely recommend if you’re wanting a place to be by the mountain :)

Great location to the national park, but no blinds

The location is great! 25 miles from paradise, wa. The neighborhood was clean and quiet. However, there are no blinds anywhere on the property. This made it tough to have any privacy and we were woken up by the sun earlier than we wanted.

Great house/cabin right outside the park

This was a very nice place for me and my wife to stay along with our visit to Mr. Rainier. It was very clean, updated, and had everything we needed. It is only about a 5-10 minute drive to the entry of the park. It was cool during our stay so we didn't sit outside very much. The area restaurants all closed by 8:00 (even on a Saturday), so be sure to bring some food along.

Love everything about The Red Fern

This is an incredible well designed cabin. You can tell the hosts thought of everything to make guests feel right at home. It’s a dreamy mountain escape. If you want to be close to the Park to hike, and close to good food options this is it. Can’t wait to come back!

Fun Time

I enjoyed staying at the cabin. It was very close to the Longmire entrance to the park. I did however spend a lot more time in the Sunrise area, which is a pretty good ways from the cabin. However that was my choice, and I would stay at the cabin again if I return some day.

Perfect location

We arrived to our destination loved the set up. Yes the French doors are cumbersome I would put the details in the check in. You have everything you need. Short drive to the park. Loved that coffee was offered. Comfortable bed. Bathing products provided. With the new cabin in front I would add window coverings you do feel a little exposed. Great place to stay visiting the park.

stunning cabin, amazing location

The modern cabin is beautiful, and has wonderful high end luxuries in a compact space, ideal for 2 folks visiting Ranier. Great cabin wifi, no cell or spotty in the whole area. The gas fire/ stove is lovely and beautifully displayed curios. Even the generous bathroom for a one bed cabin is like a spa...lovely tiled rain shower and open windows to the towering trees. The nearest "town" has gas, a couple restaurants and more or less a "market" that stocks some non perishables and frozen foods plus a few bare bones essentials. If you are staying longer than a day or two, I suggest grabbing food you plan to cook on site in a bigger town on the way in. Highly recommend stay!

Couples w/o Kiddos: Definitely Stay Here When Visiting Rainier

We would like to thank our hosts for their wonderful cabin. It truly was a treat and we were happy to finally had the chance to stay here (two years in the making for us). We would most definitely return here, though our adventures will be taking us outside of Washington for the near foreseeable future (or so we hope, pending no lockdowns). If you're a couple, we most definitely and HIGHLY recommend that you stay here when visiting Mount Rainier. We had a wonderful time, so much so, that one out of the 5 days of our vacation we spent the entire day at the cabin--only left it to take a 30 minute stroll in the neighborhood. In comparing it to other places our hosts' cabin is the bees knees. The Red Fern has the best tucked away location for their cabin on Paradise road. Really well done. A better and more detailed review of this wonderful cabin exists elsewhere, but gosh forbid VRBO allow enough characters for all the good things one would like to REVIEW and SHARE about staying at places booked on VRBO.
