Whether looking for a place to relax and unwind or spend all day sitting in the sand and swimming off the beach, the Yellow Cottage on Archer Lake is the place to be. Sit on the beach and enjoy your favorite summer beverage as you watch the boats come and go out of the nearby channel to Marble Lake, or grab your fishing pole and catch a monster Bass right off the private lake shore that you’ll have all to yourself.

The Yellow Cottage sits on 100ft of lake front shoreline and has a 40ft private dock that you can park your boat at, or rent our pontoon and it will be sitting at the dock when you arrive. The dock extends out into deep water so "Go Jump In The Lake"!! The kids will love the "seaweed free" swimming and the beach. We also have two 10ft Kayaks for you to enjoy.

If you don't have a boat of your own or need more seating capacity, ask about the 21ft (12 passenger) pontoon, and if it's available when you send your booking enquiry. It rents for $850 per week ($425 less than the marina). The pontoon has a 50HP (4-Stroke) motor, and provides plenty of space to haul all your families lake rafts, noodles, beach bags, coolers, etc. It also has a retractable Bimini cover to keep you cool in the shade and a center table for your lake day family picnic .

The Yellow Cottage sits on a large lot which provides plenty of room for outdoor activities for both kids & adults. You’ll have plenty of room for Corn-Hole, Baggo, VolleyBall, Croquet, etc. It's great for basking in the summer sun out near the lake or relaxing under one of the shade trees.

Inside the cottage is a nice blend of traditional lake cottage as well as some newer amenities such as central air-conditioning, remodeled bathroom w/shower-tub, laminate wood floors, flat-screen TV & DVD player, free High Speed WIFI internet, PlayStation 3 (plays DVD & Blue-Ray) in the 2nd bedroom, Washer & Dryer. While inside, enjoy the sights and sounds of the lake through the large sliding glass door just a few feet from the water’s edge, all the while relaxing on one of the two comfortable couches in the family room.

When it’s time for dinner, cook today’s catch on the Weber charcoal grill. After dinner, get the fire-pit fired up and watch the skiers get one more run in on the glassy water before the beautiful sunset over the lake.

The Yellow Cottage is conveniently located just south of Marble Lake and is one of 7 lakes on the 16 mile Coldwater chain of lakes. The city of Coldwater is a short 10 minute drive away and offers many amenities such as Dining, Shopping, Golf Courses, Go-Cart track, Drive-In Movie Theater, Steam-Engine Train Rides, and much more.

Perfect little cottage for our family, great location!

The owners are very nice and responsive. The cottage is perfect for a family week away. The location was excellent to be able to enjoy multiple lakes and easy access to sandbars.

Great stay with the family!

We had a great week with the family at the Yellow Cottage. The house was clean, easy to find, and had everything we needed for a fun stay at the lake. My kids enjoyed the beach area, swimming, and slept easily in the twin room each night. Communication with the property owners was quick and cordial. We’d recommend the Yellow Cottage if you’re looking for a fun stay along the lake!

Beautiful well maintained cottage with awesome view of the lake.

Our grandson was able to fish while those who wanted could swim. Plenty of sun and shade. Cottage very comfortable and well maintained. Definitely would recommend.

Relaxing lake vacation

We were looking for a relaxing lake vacation with our pre-teen/teenage kids and that is exactly what we got. The cottage was clean, right on the lake, and provided all the comforts of home. The owners were very responsive to any need we had and checked on us frequently. We appreciated their hospitality. I would recommend this cottage and these owners for anyone looking for a great lake vacation.

Relaxing retreat

We really enjoyed our stay at the yellow cottage. It was very relaxing! Weather was beautiful , so we were able to spend time on the lake. Caught a few fish and soaked up some sun. It was nice to be able to dock our boat right at the cottage. Doug was great to work with. Will plan on spending time in the yellow cottage again.

Relaxing lakefront cottage!

This cottage on the lake was a perfect getaway. The booking, communication with Doug, arrival…everything was easy and efficient. The cottage was tastefully decorated, clean, nice layout and great view of the lake. The fire pit by the water provided evenings of star-gazing and s’mores. It was an added bonus being able to rent a boat vs hauling ours. We had never been on a pontoon but thoroughly enjoyed it. We definitely plan to come back!

We enjoyed every bit of our last minute five day getaway! Or plans were to bring our own boat and do some fishing. The weather was great overall— so mission accomplished! We really enjoyed sitting on the waterfront deck watching boats going through the channel just one house away. Perfect place some R and R! The only thing I would suggest is a pedestal sink in the bathroom—might help with the tight space. But in no way did that take a way from our great experience at the Yellow Cottage. Thanks Doug for working with us on our last minute reservation!

Doug & Marcy McKinley purchased the Archer Lake cottage in Fall of 2015. The cottage was purchased so we could enjoy summers at the lake as a family, and to have enough room for friends and family to visit. During the remodeling/renovation performed over the winter, we decided to rent it out for other families to enjoy as well and make Lake memories of their own.

Why they chose this property

We loved this property because of how large the lot was that allows plenty of room for playing outside, as well as the fantastic view looking right down the center of Archer lake.

What makes this property unique

It's rare to find a lake front property with 100ft of private lake front. There's a large yard, plenty of parking in the driveway or parking in the roadside lot, fantastic views of the lake, great swimming area, and fantastic sunsets.
