Great pool. Good deal for free activity each day for one person. Used it for golf. However, VRBO Description says Bay Point has two golf courses, but the Meadow course has been closed for some time. The Nicklaus course was fun and played it twice with spouse. Pace of play was under four hours; Course was blocked for tournament and prevented us from playing more days. Close to great restaurant: Capt Anderson's. Ate there once and did take out another. Both times food was excellent.
We will be back! Super clean, quiet, first floor rental. Which made it really convenient to not have to fight elevators or stairs. Im mourning the loss of the incredible pool already! Perfect temp, zero entry walk ins, large, with grills and firepits around the pool deck. Only suggestion would be more than 1 key tag for the pool area, as that got tricky to have 4 people using just the one. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen well stocked. Everything we needed. Thank you for the great communication, too! Of note, the golf course is $130/person. One person plays free every day. Pricey, but according to my husband, one of the best courses hes played! The price does decrease weekdays later in the evening. Hidden beach down the dock that we didnt find until the last day. Explore if you go here. You wont be disappointed!
Of
If you advertise 1 free round of golf with every nights stay, there should be one. This is the only reason I stayed here. When I went to the Bay Point Golf shop to play a round, the Manager informed me that there was no agreement that he knew of. I showed him the VRBO agreement and he said that I would have to go through another company to apply for a free round of golf. He also stated that Unfortunately, we don't honor they're requests for play..... What kind of a Show are you guys running here???????
Condo is large and very well equipped. Pool and grill area very nice, but no ideal for people with mobility issues. Long walk to gated area to use facilities. You have to carry food thur a main pool entrance and back to your condo.
We enjoyed our stay at this property. The condo was very comfortable and clean. It was nice to be away from the crowded beach. Beautiful pool and amenities.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom condo. Having a stove, laundry and other amenities not found in a hotel room were totally worth it. The pool was great. It's a bit of a walk to the beach so grab a wagon or something to carry your gear. The beach was clean and there was plenty of shallow water for the kids to play in. We took the sunset catamaran cruise which was enjoyable. There are grocery stores a few minutes drive away and plenty of restaurants.
It was a very beautiful view, a quiet stay, and a relaxing experience.

Not impressed
The living room furniture and the master bed should have been sitting on a curb. The living room furniture was stained and I think the couch must have broken springs. The TV in the living room worked but the picture was skewed on the edges making things distorted,
The bed in the master was broken, the middle of the bed on the feet end was 6 to 8 inches lower then the rest of the bed. The walls were scuffed and needed paint and there was blue tape on the walls in several places ????
Hurricane Michael did serious damage to the entire area, the golf courses I went to play were closed. Only 2 local courses were open to the public and they were packed.I had to drive to Destin for the closest golf. Many local establishments were closed due to the damage.
The bright side, the washer and dryer were excellent, the pool was nice once it opened. The town will be suffering for several years. I would not recommend anything in the Panama City Beach area.

Condo was generally OK but we had some problems
1. When we arrived at 4:00, cleaning crew was inside. We understood that there might be a wait, all we wanted to know was how long a wait. We couldn't find anyone to ask. Tried calling Panhandle and got no answer. We ended up driving around and coming back two times until it was ready. Would have been nice to have some kind of support.
2. The first night we were there, the back door would not lock and the blinds were broken in the up position - making it where anyone outside could very easily see in to the living room. Two slats from the vertical blinds in the master were missing - which made it where anyone outside could very easily see into the master, including the bathroom. It was too late to get any help for these 2 items for the first night. We had our young daughters sleeping on the couch right there in a room that could be seen into, along with a door that would not lock. Very unsettling night for all of us, needless to say. When Panhandle was told of the situation the next morning, someone did come out and make the repairs but surely, someone from the cleaning crew should have noticed and requested repairs before we arrived.
3. The dryer was extremely noisy. Made a very loud squeaking noise so we couldn't run it unless we weren't there.
4. Our last afternoon there, we all got ready to go to the swimming pool and when we arrived at the gate, we couldn't open the gate. There was no one around to help us. The office was empty. We stood there in our swimsuits for quite a while waiting for my son-in-law to walk around the grounds looking for someone to help us. He was going back to the condo to get his phone to call Panhandle but in the mean time, my daughter went into the spa and finally found someone who came out and asked us where our "fob" was. We had absolutely no idea what he was talking about. Apparantly, the gate had been broken earlier and we had no problem going through. But now it was repaired and we had to have a key fob which opened the gate. He said every unit is supposed to have one for the guests to use. He finally went back inside and got his fob and came out and opened the gate for us. But then we couldn't go out and come back in unless one of us would watch for them to return and then go open the gate. Nothing at all said about any of this to us by Panhandle. There was no key fob anywhere in the condo.
We notified Panhandle of all of this when we returned home. Never received response from them. Not even apology
