About this property

The Lodge, Culnacnoc

The Lodge was built by a local crofter in about 2006. The location was chosen as it is one of the most delightful on Skye for views and peace.
Brother's point is a local beauty spot, on a clear day you can see across to the mainland across the sea and on a good day about 50-70 miles into the mountains.
This is a great place to come as a couple, the living room is open plan to the kitchen and dining area with comfortable furniture and a woodburning stove at the end of the room.
The kitchen is fully equipped with wooden work surfaces, washing and drying machine, dishwasher utensils etc.
Equipped with free WiFi, Smart TV, linen and sheets you won't want for very much when you get here. Well, maybe some more time to stay and enjoy it!
The Lodge offers a certain something that makes people come back again and again.Perhaps it is the views, location, cosiness, quality throughout, who knows. We love it and are sure you will too.
Pet Friendly - Pets are allowed in this property but they will be charged at £10 per night per pet to a maximum of 3 pets. We kindly ask if you can keep your pet off the furniture and beds for the duration of your stay. Must be crated or kenneled if left unattended, and must be on a current veterinarian approved flea & tick treatment.

Perfect stay

I can't recommend enough this place! We absolutely adore it! The location is stunning, you walk couple of steps and you get an amazing view from the cliffs. The brother view point is just right in the corner, and if you want to go hiking the Old Man Storr is only 10 min drive from the accommodation. This is one of the accommodations that you will always remember as a memorable stay :)

Wonderful time in December

It's a very hospitable, well-equipped, cozy cottage with a wood-burning fireplace and a welcome bottle of wine. Located very close to the Brothers Point and almost in the middle of nowhere, in a beautiful area. We came there in December for three nights. It was wonderful to come back to the cottage after a whole day of wandering around the beautiful island. Cold and wet, we warmed ourselves by the fireplace. The kitchen also had all the appliances and utensils, and the bedroom had a very comfortable bed. Wooden floors and interior design. In the morning, sheep come to the house to say hello. A wonderful place. Thank you.

Cute lodge in rural Skye

My husband and I really enjoyed staying in the Lodge on Isle of Skye during our honeymoon. It was a very secluded area with not many other houses nearby and sheep as your main neighbors. The bed was comfortable and there is a washer/dryer which gave us a chance to do laundry in the middle of our trip. The location is not far from Portree and many of the suggested trails and hikes are nearby. They were also sweet and left a bottle of wine for us.

Great stay with beautiful views

The Lodge was an amazing stay. Sheep visited us every morning, and the views were unbeatable. We got lucky with clear skies! The bed gave us the best sleep we had all trip, and the bottle of wine was an excellent surprise :) Payment was a little confusing, as we were told we would be sent a payment link for the second payment but this never came. A card that I had paid the first half of the booking on was later expired, and the second payment was charged to this card automatically instead of being able to change it via a payment link. Luckily this still went though without issue at my bank. Aside from that, do not pass this lodge up! Absolutely beautiful and the walk to Brothers Point any time we wanted was so amazing. Also convenient and no more than an hour drive to any destination we went on Skye!

Nice cottage

Overall we had a good experience and were thankful for all the little extras like firewood, oil and vinegar, foil and film wrap, salt and pepper, tea bags and sugar. We loved the mattress in the cottage and the Internet was working great despite the really bad storm we had this week. However a few improvements are needed for us to come back: the toilet seat is wobbly. The faucets in the bathroom are not making it easy to rince your mouth after you brush your teeth. The faucet in the kitchen sink would also benefit from updating. We kept burning ourselves with this old type of faucet that has two knobs. The biggest problem we had was that there was no covering on the skylight in the bedroom so we kept waking up at dawn. This needs to be addressed. We loved the field views and having sheep for neighbors. It’s a very peaceful area. Overall, we enjoyed staying there but would have enjoyed it even more with some darkening cover on the skylight.

Amazing location

My wife and I loved our stay at the Lodge. The location was very quiet with lovely views. The cottage was clean, comfortable and had a well equipped kitchen for meal prep. It was only a short walk away to the beach that had lots of tide pools and beautiful views of the Skye coast. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location but too many shortage

Great location an nice lodge, but not in a good condition. We had a wobbly toilet lid and wobbly toiletpaper holder, a torn oven glove and also the carpet needs to be renewed. Two many shortages for the high price!

Isolated, comfortable property with great views

This poperty is away from the town center of Portree and isolated, which is a plus and a minus. It is on a small road with a private gate, there is a parking space. The views are great and it is nice to be able to hike down to the coast. The facilities are more than adequate and comfortable. As the property is run by a corporate agent, there is no personal touch or direct communication. Skye is rustic, as is the location of this place. Keep that in mind. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the quiet. This may not be everyone's cup of tea.

Stunning view and with a clean and cosy cabin

Loved our stay of 3 nights at the Lodge. The cabin is clean and well kept with a cosy fire for windy chilly nights. Highly recommend for location, close to Portree and the beach just down the hill where you can sometimes spot seals. Would definitely book again if we’re around.
