Amazing view on the Tuscan hills between Florence, Siena and Arezzo

Dating back to 1870 and surrounded by the Chianti vineyards and the Pian di Scò olive groves, La Capitata is 400 meters above sea level, surrounded by a 9-hectare estate planted with olive trees and vines. The farmhouse enjoys a wonderful view,
is surrounded by a beautiful park with swimming pool, soccer field, playground with ping pong swing and table football, free Wi-Fi and satellite TV.

The villa is independent and consists of 3 double bedrooms and 3 bedrooms with double bed + single bed, each with a private bathroom. Characterized by rustic and elegant furniture it manages to maintain the atmosphere of the past with original terracotta flooring, wooden window frames and wrought iron beds.
The kitchen is equipped with all comforts (fridge, oven, dishwasher, microwave ..). Suggestive are the dining room and living room faithful to the Tuscan tradition with a beautiful fireplace.
The villa also has a large gazebo with table and chairs and a barbecue.
At the Capitata you can rent a bike for free and buy Chianti wine and extra virgin olive oil of our production. Available only on request, the organization of dinners.
For the necessary maintenance of the garden and the pool it is necessary the daily presence of the owners. The swimming pool, at certain times of the year, could be shared with the guests of three other small apartments that are part of the farm.

Easily reachable from the A1 motorway, the Agriturismo is 2 km from Pian di Scò village, 10 minutes from Figline Valdarno train station, 20 minutes from The Mall outlet, 30 minutes from Florence and Greve in Chianti, 40 minutes from Arezzo and 1 hour from Siena. Ideal location for those who want to enjoy a stay between art cities, wine and good food.

Wonderful

An amazing family holiday in a wonderful villa. Patrizia and her family are great hosts - they all work so hard to make your stay so memorable. It’s everything you would want for a stay in Tuscany.

Über dem Arnotal

Für große Gruppen, wir waren 14 Personen, könnte die Küche etwas besser ausgestattet sein. Darüber hinaus wurden wir sehr freundlich empfangen, von überaus hilfsbereiten Gastgebern in wunderschöner nächster und weiterer Umgebung. Mit Kindern ideal.

Das Ferienhaus war gut geeignet für einen Aufenthalt mit der ganzen Familie. Nur die Küche könnte besser ausgestattet sein. Es gab nicht genügend Geschirr und Gläser für 12 Personen, ein einziges Geschirrhandtuch und Spültuch für eine ganze Woche und kein elektrisches Gerät wie z.B. ein Handmixer o. ä. Der Wein des Hauses schmeckt sehr gut und das Olivenöl ist super!

Beautiful area of Tuscany and close to all the major sites in the area

Visit a new town every day and have lunch. Then return to our wonderful house to rest up before experiencing many wonderful local restaurants. Go for a swim before and after dinner. The proprietor, Patrica, was very helpful and thoughtful. Provided baskets of fresh tomatoes and vegetable. Highly recommend Castlefranco. Scenery in the area is beautiful

Visites en famille de lieux superbes chargés d'émotions car une partie de nos racines est en toscane. Excellent accueil des propriétaires qui savent rester discrets. Superbe séjour

Nous avons passé une belle semaine en famille à la Capitata. Maison typique très bien entretenue, avec un grand jardin aménagé (piscine, baby-foot, terrain de foot…). Lieu parfait pour les familles avec de nombreuses chambres accompagnés de salle de bain et wc. Les hôtes sont très accueillants et à l’écoute. Seul bémol il manque quelques accessoires dans la cuisine(essoreuse, ciseaux…).

A special family time

This holiday was booked pre covid to celebrate our Golden Wedding anniversary with family. After much anticipation we finally made it and the villa lived up to all our expectations. We had can amazing time in a beautiful spot. The weather was glorious. Our hosts were very kind and helpful. Our 8 year old grandaughter 'lived' in the pool and developed great swimming skills. We highly recommend La Capitata.

La Capitata ist wundervoll!

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Haus ist wunderschön und geräumig, der Garten ist sehr schön angelegt und von der Terrasse hat man einen bezaubernden Blick ins Arno-Tal. Patrizia ist super sympathisch und hilfsbereit, zu meinem Geburtstag haben wir uns von ihr bekochen lassen, was wirklich sehr schön familiär war und es hat alles sehr gut geschmeckt. Von dem leckeren Olivenöl und dem Rotwein haben wir uns auch noch etwas für zu Hause mitgenommen. Auf dem Etikett ist "La Capitata" abgebildet. Das ist ein wirklich schöne Erinnerung an eine sehr entspannte Woche in der Toskana. Was man vielleicht bedenken muss, wenn man mit älteren Menschen dort ist, dass es im Erdgeschoss keine Toilette gibt. Wir haben uns gut erholt und viele schöne Ausflüge in die Umgebung unternommen. Danke Patrizia, für Deine herrlich italienische Gastfreundschaft!

De locatie is nog mooier in het echt dan op de foto's!

Het is een zeer net onderkomen met gastvrije eigenaren die klaarstaan om te helpen maar ook zeker in zijn voor een sociaal praatje. Het is gelegen in een prachtige Toscaanse streek met leuke dorpjes in de buurt.

Lækkert hus - kan varm anbefales

Boligen var rigtig lækker, og det var fedt med den store have i flere niveauer, så der var massere af plads til både at være sammen og hver for sig. Udlejer var rigtig venlig og man lagde slet ikke mærke til dem, når de var at passe have og pool. Udlejer og hus kan varmt anbefales.

Gorgeous place

It is a farmhouse. There are active olive groves, vineyards and tomato plants as well as the cleanest pool we've ever had. There are other holiday makers using the pool but not many, and charming. So surprisingly I would count their presence as a plus. The owners were chilled, bringing us trays full of delicious tomatoes at regular intervals. While the road accessing it is a little hairy - a single track lane by a precipitous drop - the road was really quite so the peace was marvellous. Tuscany was quite - it was the covid-19 year - so everywhere we went people were glad to see us, kind and welcoming. We'd go back in a heartbeat!

Wonderful house, wonderful host

We were a large family of 15 and our stay at La Capitata was wonderful. Plenty of space, astonishing panorama. The house is exactly as described on the Website, plus the host is very helpfull. She also cooked for us wonderful dinners. I highly recommend this house, and will probably come back!

Gorgeous Rustic Tuscan Villa

Our group consisted of three couples and 3 singles. We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful, clean, rustic villa high on a hilltop above Pian de Sco in Tuscany. The house is perfect; it’s an amazing property, very well maintained and extremely clean with wonderful views over the entire valley with charming little villages below. The landscaped garden, vineyard and olive groves are beautiful and we were able to spend pleasant moments in the deckchairs at the edge of the swimming pool, enjoying the views. The accommodation is very spacious with everything on hand to make our stay comfortable. The bedrooms are big with comfortable beds and each with a private bath. I just can’t say enough about our host Patrizia and her lovely family. They took care of our every need and made us feel like part of the family. They cooked us several amazing meals that I will never forget. Always a true feast! And as with other reviewers, I also had a huge crush on PaPo! His English is very limited but he had no problem entertaining us! His House Chianti was out of this world! And we drank a lot of it! We also enjoyed the short drives to several medieval towns which made our stay perfect. I just can’t recommend this villa enough. Thank you Patrizia and your beautiful family. Hope to be back one of these days soon. Ciao!

Super place

We were an extended family of 12 and this villa, with 6 rooms fitted our needs perfectly. The hosts offer a home cooked Tuscan meal as an extra - DO IT! It was one of the best evenings we've had. €25 a head for freshly prepared dishes made from local produce. Lovely people, lovely place, Florence, Sienna and Pisa within reach and Castlefranco is a nice local town too.

Family vacation at Piandiscò

The home was beautiful and the view of the Tuscan hills was spectacular. Patrizie, Simoni and Forresto were wonderful hosts and truly made us feel at home. Any concern was promptly addressed by our hosts. My mother had some mobility issues and Patrizie graciously accommodated her in a lower level apartment so she would enjoy her stay. I would return to this location in a heartbeat!

Perfekt boende i Toscana

Vår tripp till Toscana blev en fullträff. Mycket gästvänliga värdar tog emot oss med en fantastisk middag, med eget jättegott vin, på ankomstdagen. Boende på en herrgårdsliknande byggnad, högt upp på sluttningen, med enastående utsikt var en magnifik upplevelse, trots vädret. Vi är mycket nöjda med vår vistelse !!

Outstanding family location and villa in the heart of Tuscany

Patrizia was our main contact prior to our arrival in Pian Di Sco. She was quick to answer our many questions. Upon arrival her sister, Elisa, assume management and she was equally efficient. As a matter of fact the entire family added to our enjoyment. The villa itself was warm, charming and very much geared to families with each room with a private bath and a large central gathering area along aside the kitchen. The pool was enjoyed by the 6 children. The scenery was magnificent. The location was close to Florence and the many hill towns in Tuscany.

Amazing location and the loveliest of hosts.

This grand, old house is set high up on a hillside with the most amazing views over the valley below. The rooms are large and, although very basic, each had its own en-suite shower room. Each bedroom had mosquito nets in the windows and fans. The plug adapters we bought didn’t fit most of their plug points, so it was fun trying to charge phones etc on one lead! The pool and gardens were very clean and well looked after. But it was the hosts that made the holiday. They were so friendly and helpful, but never intrusive . Patrizia and her lovely daughters cooked us a typical Tuscan meal that was simply delicious, and Foresto, the grandfather kept the excellent wine flowing- wine from their own vineyards! He was so entertaining and funny- we didn’t need interpreters- he simply acted out every story. Altogether we had a memorable holiday and I’m glad we decided to go. Thank you for one of the best holidays ever.

Wonderful retreat from the busy life

The villa was full of old world charm, and Patrizia and her father couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. There are not a lot of modern luxuries, but that kind of adds to the charm (don't worry, there is Wifi). The pool was wonderful and our kids used it all the time. Several of our party went on jogs around the countryside and the wine from the estate was really good (we had a lot of bottles). The tiny village of Pia di Sco is only a few minutes away, but the bigger town of Figline del Valdarno was great - big grocery store is the COOP and The Ostinati Bar Osteria in the town piazza made some of the best pasta we've ever had.

Beautiful house and the view was fantastic

Our family did stay there from 14-22 of july. The house and garden with swimmingpool beautiful and the view from the house both day a d night was fantastic The owners wonderful people and did everything for us. We had a wonderful stay and will be back. If you are going to Toscana this is the place to stay
