In summer enjoy the outdoor deck, deck furnishings, hot tub and firepit and we do have air conditioning. Walk to town with shops, pubs and coffee shops or walk to the river. Explore Mt Rainier National Park and all the trails, waterfalls and amazing vistas. The closest Mt Rainier National Park entrance is Steven's Canyon entrance which is 7 miles away open late May to early October.

We have 1 security camera facing the parking area only.

Great Vacation for visiting niece
This rental was fabulous as well as the communication with the owner. We did not use the hot tub but it was available and ready to use. Will return in the future.

Mini Ski Trip
What can I say but the reviews are correct. We have stayed in many VRBO locations and this property was just delightful. The cleanliness is off the charts and noticeable. Really appreciated that. The bedrooms are very nice and comfortable. The master upstairs has so much room and a very comfortable bed. Looking forward to staying there again.

A great place to stay
We had no trouble finding the cabin, checking in, or getting extra groceries at the Blanton’s market. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable! We did have trouble logging into our Netflix and other accounts and were unable to use the hot tub, But the proximity to White Pass and to a decent brewery worked out really well! I would remember to any small group.

Super location near Mount Rainier Nat'l Park
This is a nicely-maintained and private property surrounded by trees and lots of greenery. Everything advertised was there. Our purpose for staying in Packwood was the proximity to entrance to the park. Bob was very responsive to our inquiries and we would stay here again if we travel back to this scenic area.

Perfect place to use as a base to see rainier. The grocery store in town had most things, even a decent meat selection and a couple kinds of kombucha.

Communication is the key.
We enjoyed our stay at the Alpine Chalet house. The kitchen was well appointed everything was as described. We had great communication with the host. We had a few minor housekeeping issues that were handled expediently. The host gave us great information before our arrival and during our stay.

Great location, cabin needs improvements
Easy access for Mount Rainier and Packwood. AC is only in the living room and upstairs bedroom. Security camera was not disclosed at time of reservation or occupancy. Cabin is worn and overall condition was a surprise. Cleaning issues were addressed, but owner would not acknowledge listing inaccuracy of AC and security camera. Deck, outdoor furniture, and yard needs upkeep. Long list of discharge instructions and general “rules”.

Mt Rainier visit pre cruise
Nice cabin located in small town- multiple restaurants nearby, elk walked by early each morning, park with river access within a short walking distance, quiet neighborhood. All of my inquiries were responded to quickly (as I planned for our trip). There are other residential/rental homes very nearby. We (group of 6-3couples) stayed in Aug and we needed to sleep with windows open and fans in the windows downstairs as the AC didn’t cool enough for our liking. The couple who stayed upstairs were comfortable with the AC there. Hot water in the showers was plentiful and the beds were fine- but pillows were a bit dense for us. The washer and dryer worked great and efficiently. The kitchen had the tools we needed for breakfasts but we chose to eat dinners out. Ate at the brewery Saturday night (live music) and at the Saloon on Sunday. Good food at both. Visited Mt Rainier Saturday and Sunday with 9-11 timed entry and the drive was scenic and easy to both Nisqually and Sunrise.

This was a great place to stay to explore Mount Rainier. It was a manageable drive to the park each day and a great location in Packwood. We were there during a hot stretch and the owners had cooling units to keep the house cool. It was a comfortable and enjoyable stay!

Mount Rainier getaway
This rental had the comforts of home after a long day hiking! It came with a well equipped kitchen where we made breakfast and dinner daily. (Recommend bring own groceries as store in town very pricey.). The fireplace and hot tub were bonuses! Bed was comfortable for restful night. Mount Rainier Steven’s Canyon entrance close by. Make sure to get online daily entrance passes if wanting to enter between 7a-3p. Town of Packwood close by for coffee, meals, and breweries. A perfect rental for those seeking rental close to Mt Rainier. Owner’s communication was top notch! Best I’ve experienced in years of traveling! All details laid out prior and owner ascertained all well during stay. Highly recommend this rental!
