The Cottage

The Cottage is a fully equipped three bedroom property. There is a large well-furnished terrace with views over the valley where you can relax, eat and drink. There is a living room with beamed ceiling, patio doors and a wood burning stove. There is a charming farm house kitchen with table/chairs for six, fridge freezer and dishwasher. A utility room houses a washing machine and dryer and Wi Fi is provided. The bedrooms are furnished with a double bed and four single beds. Cots and high chairs are available on request.
Our holiday home is set in an ideal location in one of the most beautiful parts of France. You can visit a host of picturesque and interesting places, engage in a wide range of activities or simple choose to read, relax, and sunbathe in peaceful surrounding, while sampling the wonderful food and wine the region has to offer. After dinner you can take a stroll up through the vineyards, walk up into the village or simply enjoy the quiet warm evenings and watch the sunset

Beutiful location, great pool, but house could do with an update

The owners are friendly and very nice. They were on site the whole time we were there, so we shared the pool with them and the people renting their smaller apartment (although we were never actually in the pool at the same time). We didnt realise this from the advert. The house is nice, but a little old fashioned - the kitchen and bathroom could really do with a refresh as they feel very dated. That said, the kitchen came with everything we needed included dishwasher and coffee machine. But the cuboards were old, especially the ones above the sink and did not stay open on their own which made it extremely hard to get things out one handed. The chairs in the kitchen were wobbly and there were only 4 chairs (there were 5 of us). They did however provide an extra chair when we asked. We were only given 1 fan initially (for 3 bedrooms), but they did provide an extra one awhen asked after temp went to 40deg. There was some damp issues in the toilet and bathroom, and the roof leaked significantly when there was a heavy rainstorm (huge puddle on the floor in the morning). Obviously its a period house, and some of the furniture is charming, but overall it feels like the house needs a bit of a refresh. However, overall its a great location 5 minutes into town. There are lovely walks nearby and the big draw is the pool. The beds are comfy and the living room is cosy. The hosts are friendly and helpful and its easy to park right next to the house.

Pour démarrer, les explications étaient confuses sur l’emplacement de la maison (il suffirait d’un repère au bout du chemin) Bien que les propriétaires soient charmants et disponibles, la maison est mal entretenue et le ménage à l’arrivée est quasi inexistant (ustensiles de cuisine en piteux état, voire rouillés). Les abords de la piscine sont inachevés. Le mobilier est fatigué (chaises bancales, matelas à ressort, salle de bain conforme à la photo, à la limite de l’hygiène) . Sans demander le grand luxe, la maison aurait besoin d’un grand rafraîchissement.

Gîte correct mais améliorations à mettre en place.

Grand gîte "dans son jus". Un rafraîchissement serait appréciable, surtout dans la salle de bain et les toilettes. Le nettoyage n'est pas suffisant, encore plus dans ces 2 pièces. Les abords de la piscine devraient être terminés. Gîte bien équipé et propriétaire agréable et disponible.

Great value for money in terms of space

A lovely spacious cottage, it really felt like home from home. John was friendly and approachable whenever we had a question. We loved exploring the land, village and walks around the cottage. The cottage was equipped with everything we could need including a utility room and dishwasher. Being able to walk out of the door and straight into vineyards full of grapes was great. Our children loved the pool and were in and out of it all day. We hope to be back again in the future.

We hebben een leuke vakantie gehad, er zijn echter wel wat verbeterpunten voor de accommodatie. Vooral buiten, het zwembad erom heen moet afgemaakt worden. Nu liep je in de steentjes en die kwamen ook in het zwembad. Jammer, want het is een mooie plek die net niet af is. En in het huis gaat de wc deur naar binnen open. Erg onhandig met naar het toilet gaan en als je niet goed zou worden op het toilet kunnen ze niet bij je komen. De bedden zijn niet allemaal van de beste kwaliteit. Wij zijn vrij lang en helaas komen we dit vaker tegen dat je niet fatsoenlijk in je bed kunt liggen tegen. Verder is John een lieve man die als je wat nodig hebt voor je klaar staat en behulpzaam is.

Parfait pour se reposer aux calmes

Après nous être fait accueillir par les adorables propriétaires. Nous avons pu profiter de cette maison de pleins pieds, bien équipée. La grande terrasse , la piscine toute neuve et l'environnement sont très appréciable. Les lits de qualités tout préparés avec des draps frais et une attention particulières pour le lit bébé, nous on beaucoup touché. Le meilleur gite rapport qualité prix que j'ai louer. Merci merci et merci... à bientôt

Superbe séjour

très bon séjour dans un cadre verdoyant, la maison est fonctionnelle et très agréable. John le propriétaire est très sympathique et arrangeant. Le top, la grande piscine entourée de verdure. nous avons vraiment apprécié notre semaine qui a passé trop vite. Je reviendrai pour un séjour plus long c'est sûr.

Sfeervol ingerichte woning

Smaakvol en praktisch ingericht vakantiehuis met zwembad, prima uitvalsbasis om o.a. Bordeaux en Bergerac te bezoeken. Goede zwemplek in de Dordogne op 7 minuten rijden. Meer dan genoeg te zien en te doen in de omgeving; vliegveld voor zweefvliegers, kanoën op de Dordogne, wandelen nabij de woning, grotten en wijngaarden. Veel supermarkten en restaurants in de buurt. John en Linda zijn vriendelijk en behulpzaam, evenals de bewoners van deze streek. Echt een aanrader!

Beautiful and peaceful

We arrived late at night and the owners were still waiting to welcome us. The house was clean and had everything needed plus they were good enough to have some light provisions for us to have in the morning due to our late arrival. They were very friendly and made us feel welcome. If someone is looking for a relaxed holiday l would highly recommend. The cottage was charming and full of character.
