Rebuilt Captains Home A Couple Blocks From Town Center

All newly renovated and updated

We just completed a top to bottom full renovation of the house. Renovation also included new furniture throughout the space This is not your typical antique in town home, the house was brand new in 2006 and just completed complete update to create an even more luxurious experience for our guests.

The location is ideal for a Nantucket stay. 4 ½ Charter is located on a very quiet side street only a couple blocks from the center of town.

Since the house is new the floorplan is designed for comfortable living with an open layout in the main floor and includes amenities like main a built in audio system which offers sound/music throughout the space, and modern HVAC for comfort. It has three separately furnished spaces: The well appointed kitchen which offers custom built cabinetry, commercial grade appliances, antique pine island, granite and marble surfaces, a dining area with a dining table which can accommodate 8 guests; and a living area with a fireplace, TV, DVD, Stereo system and French doors opening to a new multi level patio with seating and dining areas.

The lower level is the size of a separate cottage with 10 ft ceilings. The space includes: A media room with a 70” plasma HDTV and 7.1 surround system with full theater effects; a large bedroom with a king bed; a bedroom with two twins high speed internet, fax, and printer; and a full bath.

The upstairs has two master suites. Suite 1 has a king bed, sitting area, wall mounted 40” LCD TV, built in audio system, DVD, stereo, full ensuite bath with glass shower and free standing double ended soaking tub. Suite 2 has a king bed, day bed with trundle, wall mounted LCD TV, built in drawers, and a full ensuite bath.

Outside there is recently built multi level patio with a sitting area off the living room and a dining area. Additionally there is an enclosed outdoor shower.

The home is graced with antique wide plank oak flooring, wonderful fixtures and furnishings. Included in the house are highest quality bed linens, gas grill, and every amenity to make your stay on Nantucket a memorable experience.

If you have not been to Nantucket you will discover there is no better place to in the world to spend time then in the heart of the historic district.

Fantastic House in Nantucket

Excellent Family Property with perfect in town location

The house is clearly built and maintained for owner occupancy. Lucky to be able to rent such an amazing house near the center of town. All was as described. Comfortable and spacious bedrooms and living spaces.

Another amazing stay!!

This was our second visit to this beautiful Nantucket property and our expectations were exceeded once again! The home is beautifully kept, stocked with everything you could possibly need and feels like a home away from home. The check in process was seamless and the host was so responsive. Beautiful house, fun holiday weekend !

This is our second year at 4.5 Charter. The house is gorgeous, well-appointed and sophisticated but also very comfortable for living and sleeping. Every bedroom has its own bathroom, major bonus! The house was spotless and in a prime location on a sleepy side street -an easy walk to town. I can think of no criticism for this house- it’s truly perfect but I will say: The driveway is tiny - do not bring a big car! Thank you Michael for another great stay.

AMAZING STAY!

We had the best week in Nantucket and absolutely loved this house! The floorplan was perfect for our group of 4 adults and 4 children. The house had everything we needed. The location was unbeatable and the host was super responsive with helpful recommendations and answered all of our questions in a timely manner. Highly recommend. Our entire group had a wonderful time and we'd love to stay here again!

Great house close to town

Our family of 5 stayed here and we had a great time. No problem having the teens walk into town, and being able to enjoy amazing restaurants without having to drive was wonderful. The house itself is just like the photos -- clean, modern amenities, and cute. Plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. We loved our trip to Nantucket and we hope to stay here again in the future.

This is the third time we’ve stayed at 4 1/2 Charter. Close to town great home and accommodations the home owner obviously cares and the home reflects that. Nantucket in the winter secluded quiet romantic, dreamy.

Just Perfect

The house was absolutely lovely. Well stocked kitchen, great layout throughout the house. The lower level bedroom now has built in bunks (three twins and a double) that offer more sleeping options that weren’t reflected in the pictures. Super close to town. We would DEFINITELY come and stay here again!

Nantucket Perfection

Hands down one of the best VRBO properties we have stayed at. The house is truly beautiful, perfectly spacious and fully stocked. The location in town is ideal; only a few short blocks to restaurants, shops and the wharf. Truly could not have asked for anything better. Robert is extremely accessible and accommodating. Long Weekend

We had a wonderful stay. Terrific home, great layout for our family. (Myself, my husband, and 2 adult children). A very short and beautiful walk into town. The home is lovely and updated. Robert was terrific and very responsive to anything I needed. This was our first stay in Nantucket but we hope to return and would chose this property again!

Perfect Home for Family Vacation

My family and I stayed a week at this property and would do it again in a heartbeat. It was the perfect spot. We had three generations of our family in the home (8 people). Everyone had their own space, with lovely common areas to spend time and meals together. The home is comfortable, beautifully decorated, and fully equipped with everything we could possibly need. The location to town is ideal, on a quiet side street but so very close to Main Street. Lastly, the owner was so fast to respond to any questions. Fantastic rental!

Beautiful House

Wonderful house in all aspects. The beds were comfy which is a must when you rent. The kitchen was well stocked with all sorts of equipment. The only down fall was there was no dish soap & we were asked to start the laundry but there was no laundry detergent in the house. Lucky the house is close enough to stop & shops.
