Just what we needed for a short visit to Florida’s Gulf Coast. Kitchen is well stocked, plenty of towels, toiletries and beach supplies. The 2 issues that came up during our stay were quickly dealt with by the owner. Not a bad drive to get to beaches, groceries and restaurants. You’ll enjoy your stay!
First of all, the owner was wonderful. We were treated to a bottle of wine and an assorted box of cookies waiting for us. We were a little disappointed we couldn't get in an hour or so earlier but it was, after all in the contract. But once in, the owner was VERY responsive to a couple of minor issues, resolving them almost immediately. The house was clean and comfortable. We had a little trouble getting the key out and opening the door, but once we got past that it was all good. The front porch had loose boards at the top stair that need to be addressed before someone trips. The beds were also very clean and comfortable. The location was good, though it took a while to negotiate getting around in the heavy traffic. It was close to grocery stores, lots of beaches, and good places to eat.Overall it was a good price for the accommodations and is recommended.
Location is nice and great when the ferry works( broken ramp due to Harrican Milton). House is completely set up with full kitchen things which is great.
This is a lovely beach-themed home just minutes away from Venice prime attractions. We loved the layout of it, and the open concept of the main area. The house came well-stocked with pretty much everything one may need to ensure a comfortable stay. Despite the home needing a little TLC, its location can't be beat-so close to wonderful dining, shopping, and best of all-gorgeous world-famous beaches!! We were lucky enough to explore Manasota beach, and had great luck at finding some shark teeth, fossils, and beautiful seashells. Lily was a wondeful host, always on standby to provide a quick response
whenever needed.
The house is the perfect beach weekend hideaway. The photos don't do it justice because, in my opinion, they are darker than it actually is. We arrived, to music welcoming us and sun pouring through the high living room windows. Very open and cozy feel to the whole home. Most of the beaches are within 15-min drive plus the historic downtown. If you need a reset this is a great spot.
We like booking this house each year for our Florida vacation. It's tucked away in a quiet neighborhood & for the price of a small condo, you get the privacy of the whole house. This year the living room sofa was new & very nice. It's easy to get to places you want to go in the surrounding areas & has access to a private beach. Love it & will book again.
We just returned from a week at this property. The house was nice on the inside, clean and comfortable. The property had a fully stocked kitchen and plenty of room for our family. There were a few disappointments, though. The listing says that a pass to the private ferry and beach are included in the stay. We accessed the pass with directions from the owner, but when we arrived at the ferry, we were denied access by the captain because we weren't the original pass holders. They started a rule in January that no one could access the ferry on borrowed passes. Even when people who lived there offered to take us as their guests, we were still denied access to the ferry and beaches. So, be forewarned (not just with this property, but other properties in the area as well) that they will not let visitors onto the ferry or beach. I communicated with the owner that they had denied us, and she did apologize, but honestly we had chosen this house because we could walk to the ferry and the beach. The rest of the week, we were driving 15-20 minutes away to go to public beaches. Also, the outside of the home is in desperate need of maintenance. The fence is falling down in the back, there are holes in the siding, there are rat traps set around the house, the porch is sloping downwards. Even with these issues, I think we would still come back to stay. Everything else was nice (inside was EXTREMELY clean) but just a few things that may need fixing and the passes to the ferry were our main issues.

House is probably a knock down. Many issues- too many to mention.
Price was attractively low, and we were still disappointed.
This property looks exactly as the listing states. Roomy, clean, access to washer and dryer. My only advise is that if you take the ferry to the beach they do not allow any type of cart, you must carry things with you. The private beach is amazing, we had an entire clean beach all to ourselves. Downtown Venice is cute and there happened to be a craft show the day we stopped. It is far from things we drove to Sarasota, but overall worth it.

Fun In The Sun
The home was not located within walking distance to a beach as noted, the ferry ride to the private beach was not appealing, nor was the beach. Also, the home had a sour odor, which we later discovered was due to wet items lying in the laundry room. There were crumbs on the sofas, and the ceiling fans were full of dust. The TV on the second floor was inaccessible, even after following the owners directions to connect it. Our overall stay was below satisfaction.
This is our 2nd time at this location.
The house is clean & comfortable. It is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, but it's easy & convenient to get into town or to the highway for a road trip.
We used the ferry for the 1st time & found that the private beach was better than going to Caspersen Beach to get sharks teeth.
The owner is quick, professional, & courteous in her communication.
We will book this house again in the future.
House was a good place to gather at end of busy days. Ferry was a nice benefit and we had fun collecting shark teeth. Need to drive to other beaches, restaurants. Very quiet.
Good location, safe neighborhood. Needs some maintenance on the exterior for curb appeal. Lawn was in need of attention. Attention to details inside would make first appearance more inviting.
Beautiful house & great host, would definitely stay here again
The house was so much nicer in person that the photos show on-line. Lily was amazing with staying in touch and providing any information we needed. The location is great, so close to the water. It is definitely the "Paradise" house.
The house was clean and comfortable. The location is in a quiet neighborhood, but convenient to the places we wanted to go. There is also access to a private beach. It was nice to have beach chairs, umbrellas, & towels provided. Will stay there again when we go back to Venice, Florida.
