Very nice stay
Firstly I should say that the weather wasn't great during the week which limited what we could do in the local area. The house is beautiful and although seems quite remote in its setting, Fakenham is just a few mins away. Unfortunately it's quite close to a pig farm so depending on which way the wind is blowing, it can be quite smelly outside. The house itself is well proportioned with some very interesting pieces but we were surprised how small the kitchen was (especially for a family). However, it had everything we needed. The biggest problem for us though was the WiFi and complete lack of mobile signal. This had been noted by other guests but I couldn't quite believe how poor internet was (no more than 0.2mb at best so pretty much unusable). I know it's a holiday cottage but most of us now are quite reliant on fairly decent internet for planning trips out, keeping in touch with work and family etc so this simply wasn't possible. If I was the owners, I would simply remove the BT hub from the property as it's so poor and frustrating! Overall we did enjoy our stay but the weather wasn't the best and lack of connectivity felt like we were very cut off from the world.
