Everything a property and property owner should be
My family and I have stayed in several places in the Disney area (as well as Sarasota) and have had the gamut of experiences. We've enjoyed wonderful stays, but a couple times we've run into unscrupulous hosts. Josh is the antithesis of that. The hot tub did not work on the night of our arrival (Saturday night), and as that was one of the reasons we'd chosen this house. we were eager to be able to use it. I contacted Josh, who responded right away and had the management company schedule the next available repair person. Unfortunately, being a weekend, the next person available couldn't come until Monday.Without my requesting it, Josh refunded us our pool and hot tub heat for the entire stay (five nights). He did this even though the hot tub was fixed and fully operational (in a non-Death Star way) by midmorning on Monday. As you'd imagine the rest of our stay was spent largely in the hot tub.So here's the lesson: Unavoidable problems can occur. I understand that. But when they do, property owners can either be honest and communicative and fair, or they can be dishonest, accusatory, and greedy. Josh, I'm very thankful to say, was the former kind of owner. We had an absolutely lovely vacation at his property. The house was beautiful, immaculate, stocked with everything we needed, and as a bonus, it backed up to a gorgeous nature preserve. The neighbors were totally quiet, so we felt like we owned our own island. And the game room was a blast! We will be returning.
