Hilton Head is famous for its wide stretching beaches, and the oceanfront is just a short leisurely stroll down the boardwalk from our villa. Along the way you will encounter abundant sea-marsh wildlife from turtles to egrets. If you prefer a quicker route, just hop aboard the beach shuttle which has regular seasonal runs throughout the day. At the end of the boardwalk, you'll find Coco's--a wonderful, island-themed beach bar and grill.

Hilton Head Resort offers three adult sized pools (two outdoor, one indoor), one child's pool, a gift shop, poolside restaurant and deli, beach front grill and bar, hot tub, sauna, exercise room, indoor walking track, free WiFi in building three / WiFi in building one - daily or weekly charge, bike rental, six lighted tennis courts, beach volleyball court, horseshoes, beach front restrooms, and a gated and guarded complex with 24/7 security. Abundant golfing is in either direction when leaving the resort grounds.

The complex is also within walking distance to the Shelter Cove Towne Center A Waterfront shopping center overlooking broad creek. This is the newest and hottest tourist spot on Hilton Head Island. It has tons of new restaurants, two new grocery stores (a huge Kroger and a Whole Foods), all kinds of shopping, a marina, a park, seasonal festivals, and the firework show every Tuesday during the summer.

Fall break

Enjoyed our short stay

We loved our stay here! The listing was exactly as described. The unit itself was just like the pictures. I did have to replace the batteries in the bedroom TV remote, and the 1 ply toilet paper went really fast but otherwise everything was great.The complex itself is older. The elevator is really slow so plan for that in your travels. The beach isn't really close but a quick golf cart shuttle, gets you closer. Overall we had a great time!

It was an amazing stay! We had to go through hurricane debby but still had an amazing trip! Indoor pool was our best friend for a couple of days! Nice clean condo! Had enough space for our family of 5! Definitely will come back!

Nice place close to everything on the island. Deli/bar at the big outdoor pool is very nice with friendly staff. Nice walk to the beach on the boardwalk along the marsh with some nice wildlife viewing. All in all it’s a nice place.

It was on the fourth floor so elevator access and availability with other patrons was a challenge appreciated all of the accommodating items that made our stay pleasant related to the beach or cooking or towels. The apartment was clean and has everything we need and more. They left a cart to use at the beach and some beach toys for the kids. We have everything we need the pool we’re awesome and the store at the pool area had everything you can possibly think and good prices. The security of that place is good they are always around making sure you need anything.

Beautiful stay!

The host was awesome, they answered my calls and texts extremely fast. The room was as pictured, and the resort staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable and clean. The screened in balcony was great because we didn't have to worry about bugs while we hung out on the balcony. The kitchen was stocked with all the cookware, utensils, plates, cups, and bowls we needed for our stay, that was an added convenience. My kids had a blast at this resort, the three pools were all awesome and fun. Would definitely recommend this resort for families.

Great Location

We were very happy with the villa and it had everything we needed. Lots of towels were provided and that was a nice surprise. The proximity to the beach and the pools was perfect. My only critique is the bunk beds need to be replaced ASAP. They are too squeaky and rickety. They bang the walls and squeak all night. My kids refused to sleep in them and opted for the couch. Otherwise the villa was great and we enjoyed our stay!

Know what and where you’re renting a vacation property

Hilton Head Resort, although very well-located on the island, is clearly a lower end vacation property with all that such entails. The description and amenities were indeed accurate (and read carefully as there are no real beach paraphernalia or laundry in the unit) but this particular condo is truly “rental worn”. Good: - Effective air (cooling) and ceiling fans - Kitchen pretty well stocked (plates, cups, coffee pot, pans, blender, toaster, utensils) and has a newer frig w auto ice maker - Large tv w cable in living room (older tvs in bedrooms - never tried to turn them on so no idea on picture/quality/service) - Shower water pressure and hot water in both baths - Updated bathrooms Negative: - as reported in many reviews - omnipresent and disturbing mildew smell (with corollary rust on appliances and bathroom light fixtures). I’m guessing it’s emanating from the HVAC system. - both bedroom closet doors off track and don’t close at all - dirty brown carpet in second bedroom - ceiling fans were filthy - second bedroom very loud squeaking bunk bed both top and bottom - master bath tub/shower - liner only (no curtain) w obvious mildew stains - broken handle on door to screened terrace - low end furniture throughout that has chipping paint, stains, etc. - oven and dishwasher older and “quirky” Complex: - The workers we encountered were all affable and accommodating. - The proximity to the beautiful “private” beach with shuttle service was amazing (and the availability of umbrella and chair rental there was, although pricey - appreciated) - Coco’s bar/restaurant at the beach was convenient as were the restrooms there. - The large outdoor pool was clean and had adequate lounges and seating (weekdays at least), a small restaurant/grill, a bar and a t-shirt shop - The indoor pool area was dirty and musky and the few cardio machines were not in good shape - Multiple laundry rooms and one conveniently nearby (very clean) unit accepting credit cards and housing a couple of commercial washers and four dryers - Shelter Cove shopping/marina/restaurants/trails are within walking distance and are a great destination Vacation rental pricing has certainly increased and this one was at the lower end of those we’d considered. I guess we got what we paid for.

Perfect little getaway

We booked this condo last minute for Memorial Day weekend and was pleasantly surprised. Unit was updated and clean. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare small meals. Few downsides … was hard to find a luggage rack which meant making several trips back and forth to car. And be prepared for the trek to the beach (highly recommend a beach wagon!) Overall, our family of 4 had a fun and memorable time. Hope this helps.

Good value

I appreciated the security of being in a gated community. That said, I do feel there should be better lighting along the walkways. We enjoyed the pools, particularly the outdoor pool/bar area. While the boardwalk to the beach initially seemed a bit long, we saw so many birds and interesting creatures along the way. The golf cart ride is a great option for those carrying things to the beach or for whom walking is an issue. The unit's screened in balcony was a pleasant area for my morning coffee. The only thing I wish was provided is beach towels to avoid using this space in my luggage, otherwise my stay was excellent.

Family vacation and first-time visitor to Hilton's Head Island.

This was our first trip to Hilton Head, and it was perfect! This location is great, the walk to the beach beautiful in and of itself. Sunrises on the beach were picturesque. The rental itself was clean and organized. Bathrooms clean and updated. Kitchen had all the utensils we needed. More than enough towels for everyone. This resort was perfect for families as there is so much to do just within the resort: tennis, indoor/outdoor pool, etc. We rented bikes and were able to bike to the ice cream shop and the local park. The bike rentals are dropped off and picked up in this same building - so convenient! I would recommend this rental to friends and family!

Let down

This condo was a complete let down for us. There were lights out in the bedroom. No closet doors. It has a moldy smell. The ceiling had caved in on our floor by the elevators so it was a long walk to the other elevator and parking. The beds were squeaky and very uncomfortable.

Why they chose this property

We bought this property because it had everything we needed/wanted. The location is close to everything--grocery stores, restaurants, marinas, entertainment.
The complex has an indoor pool for those colder winter days (warm by Illinois standards) and outdoor pools to soak up the great South Carolina sun. The boardwalk is an amazing place to view and learn about nature. We just love seeing the changes in the seasons in the marsh area. Great bird viewing. This is our dream home away from home and a great place for our children and grandchildren.

What makes this property unique

I love the fact that I don't have to cross a street to get to my beach. Our beach is located between Palmetto Dunes Golf Course and an inlet. Singleton Beach houses are next to the inlet and our beach. This makes our beach very private, but a decent walk takes one to the action of the nearby hotel beaches.
