Town: The tiny, pretty village of Noss Mayo is hidden away on the southern bank of the Yealm Estuary and is home to two good pubs. Across the water is the larger village of Newton Ferrers, and you can get between the two villages by a causeway at low tide and a seasonal ferry that operates a triangular route and calls in at the SW Coastal Path, Noss Mayo and Newton Ferrers. Newton Ferrers has a local butcher, chemist and Post Office. The village pub has fantastic views across the water towards Noss Mayo and the creek.
