This is wonderful accommodation in a picture postcard setting. Property is extremely well presented with everything you need. Location could not be better. If you like village settings and archetypal country pubs on your doorstep, then this is for you. Highly recommended.
Very nice and cosy cottage, clean and has all the amenities that you would require. great location for visiting variety of places around Kent, very friendly and helpful hosts!
Would definitely suggest staying here!
Lovely, cosy, clean cottage with fabulous views in a lovely village. The hosts are very friendly and informative.
It's a perfect location for us when visiting family, we are glad to have found this little gem.
It was a beautyful cottage, best place to chill either in the cottage or in the Garden. There was also place for our bycicles. We enjoy to explore Kent by bike or car also the pubs near by. We can commend Riverside cottage.
We had a wonderfully relaxing 4 night stay. Location is ver quiet and picturesque would definitely return. The cottage is very tastefully done. Shower was amazing
Riverside cottage is such a great property in so many ways. Great hosts, spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything you could want for a little self catering break plus lovely views across the fields. And a great pub just up the road!
Highly recommended!!!
This more than lives up to the photos, is spotless and immaculate, and the hosts are great.
The location in a quiet village, with a great pub/restaurant at 100 yards away is difficult to beat.
Can't find a single fault
Very comfortable modern accommodation very clean.Fantastic uninterrupted views across farmland with small sun trap patio. Ideally situated to explore Kent.An excellent pub within walking distance serving great food. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Beautiful property brilliant location just off the M20. Quite peaceful and the most wonderful views from the property.
All you need for a quite peaceful restful break. Great walking and pub over the road.
My daughter and I were delighted with our stay - the sunny patio and garden area look out onto the countryside. The property was well equipped and the bathroom was roomy with plenty of storage space. The decor was very pleasant. Location for us was perfect for visiting family in Ashford, only a 15 to 20min drive away
We had an absolutely brilliant time. The cottage is immaculately clean, cosy and well stocked and everything looks fresh and new. Views from the cottage are spectacular - hopefully we will return!
Modern, well presented property. Lovely garden area with sunset view. Pub across the road and 15mins from the seaside.

Peaceful location. Beautiful Sunsets
Tony was a pleasure to interact with before and during our stay. The cottage was spacious and comfortable. It was also well outfitted with supplies. Great little village with walking trails and pub that brews their own beer nearby. The cottage was also conveniently located and easy to get out and about each day.
This is a lovely cottage for two people with great views from the living area. It has all amenities and plenty of space to relax in. It is well situated for visiting south Kent and has the advantage of a pub a few yards away which does great food. The only issue we had was that the wifi did not have a strong signal.
Peaceful, relaxing stay in delightful accomodation
The perfect accomodation for 2, very clean with lovely decor and everything we required. Although next to owners home, felt private with Own entrance and lovely views of the countryside from a small patio area. In a nice village location and the choice of 2 local pubs both very friendly with great food and one only 2 mins walk down the road. We enjoyed Rye, Hythe, walking in the area and the Steam railway, would have visited Port Lympne wildlife reserve if weather had been better. But lots to do within half hours drive from this accomodation. Highly recommend.
We had three nights in this beautiful cottage. We had a friendly welcome from our host, the accommodation was spotless and exactly as the photos showed. We were lucky enough to have fabulous weather which enabled us to walk around this village and sample the hospitality of both local pubs but even better to sit out on the west facing patio with a glass of wine and watch the sun go
down. Would certainly recommend.

The property was spotless, very clean and tidy, bed was nice and comfortable, kitchen was well equipped.

About the host
Hosted by Tony Blakley
Vivien & Tony welcome you to Riverside. We have live here for 25 years - watching our three children grow up and fly the nest!
We are a retired couple enjoying our time together in the heart of Kent. Riverside Cottage has been a dream to develop as we enjoy meeting people and making their stay an enjoyable one.
Why they chose this property
This stunning self-catering holiday cottage is a short drive from the historic City of Canterbury (around 25 mins) which boasts a wealth of visitor attractions. In 1170 Archbishop Thomas Beckett was famously murdered in the Cathedral and thousands of Pilgrims play homage each year. The ancient ruins of St Augustine's Abbey and St Martin's Church all form part of UNESCO World Heritage Site. Nearby are the remains of a Norman Castle built on 1080 by the Normans and the large stone keep was largely constructed in the reign of Henry1 (1100-1135) all are reminders of the City's history, heritage & culture. Other attractions include, The King's mile, St Dunstan's, West Gate Towers, Northgate and The Canterbury Tales. You can take one of the River Tours and absorb the City with a boat trip along the River Stour taking in the architecture and scenic views. There are museums, walking trails or guided walks to help you enjoy the narrow winding lanes. Canterbury is best explored by foot. Canterbury is a place steeped in tradition and is also a modern and vibrant city with welcoming bars, pubs, nightclubs, fine restaurants, and a High Street with independent and high street names. Canterbury Golf Course is 1 mile distance from the City Centre and was designed by Henry Colt ain 1927 at the same time as designing Wentworth. There are two famous “links” courses at nearby Sandwich, Royal St Georges (home to The Open Championship in 2011) and Princes (Open Golf qualifying course).
What makes this property unique
The evening can be spent watching the sunset from the lounge or if warm enough - from the sun loungers on the private patio. With panoramic views across the fields - almost as far as Ashford in the distance. And if you are lucky to spend the Autumn at Riverside you will be amazed at the fields full of Pumpkins or Rape seed oil plants.
