For the 2020 season we will only take bookings from the end of October, thank you for your understanding. 70 km from Avignon and Mont Ventoux, detached house on the outskirts of a listed village character.
Conceived by the owner on bancaous (terraces) the house is leaned against the rock of the hill, which allows him an exceptional sight on the plain and its fields of lavender. Far from the beaten track you will find calm and serenity.
You will have two bedrooms, a mezzanine lounge with extra BZ, two bathrooms, one with bath, two toilets, a fully equipped kitchen. Cot, fireplace, tv hd, dvd, wifi ....
Outside two terraces, one shaded with trellis, garden furniture, two barbecue, garden shed ... The secure pool surrounded by dry stones will provide relaxation and freshness.
On your arrival to make your stay as pleasant as possible we will advise you on your wishes for walks, trips, visits and catering in the region.
Simiane and its surroundings will seduce you by the diversity of its landscapes, the authenticity of its old stones, a real haven of peace far from the classical circuits and the tourist affluence of the big cities.

Sous le charme

Nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances dans cette maison confortable, fonctionnelle, décorée avec soin et très propre. A l’ombre l’après midi, elle garde bien la fraîcheur. Nous avons apprécié le calme, la très belle vue, la piscine, les petits commerces et Simiane accessibles à pied. Un grand merci à Christine et Alain pour leurs attentions et la qualité de leur location ainsi que le partage de bonnes adresses et des sites à ne pas manquer. Un temps merveilleux en Provence

L'accueil chaleureux d'Alain et de Christine a été un excellent départ pour des vacances merveilleuses. Nous nous sommes sentis très à l'aise dans cette maison aménagée avec soin et dotée d'une belle piscine. Même notre ami à quatre pattes a beaucoup apprécié le beau jardin. C'est un petit coin de paradis - merci Alain & Christine de nous avoir permis de vivre cela !

Erholung und Ruhe in herrlicher Landschaft

Wir haben in Alains Haus eine erholsame Ferienwoche verbracht und uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Alain ist ein herzlicher Gastgeber mit vielen Unternehmungstipps und leckeren Überraschungen für uns Gäste. Das Haus liegt mitten im Luberon-Gebirge und von den Zimmern und Terrassen hat man eine wundervolle Aussicht. Im Sommer ist es sicherlich noch schöner, weil man den Pool und die Außensitzplätze noch mehr nutzen kann.

Ein wunderschönes Kleinod in einer ruhigen Gegend in der Provence

Der Aufenthalt war wunderbar. Das Haus ist von den vielen Vorgängern schon super beschrieben und bewertet worden. Wir können uns da nur anschließen. Die Ruhe und die Umgebung ist atemberaubend. Und Alain ist ein wunderbarer Gastgeber. Danke für alles. P.S.: Unsere Hündin Lotty fand den Aufenthalt auch klasse. Vor allem die ein oder andere Katze hat zur sportlichen Betätigung beigetragen ;-)

Erholung pur

Wir haben im August 2023 14 Tage Urlaub in diesem Ferienhaus gemacht und dort wundervolle und erholsame Tage verbracht. Der Blick auf das Dorf und die Landschaft sind einmalig. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und überaus hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns rundherum wohl gefühlt!

We had a great stay in the house. Alain and his wife showed us the house when we arrived and gave some good tips about what to experience in the area. All in all we had a very nice time both in the house and when exploring Provence.

Perfection in the lavender fields

This was my second visit. The house is a lovely gathering place inside and out tucked into a rock at the foot of a fairytale village with a nearby restaurant and boulangerie the equal of Parisian food. The place is for the traveler who is looking for peace away from over touristed towns. No trinket shops here, but many famous or not so famous places to visit are short trips away. Alain and Christine are kind to share such a gem.

Een pareltje met meerdere terrassen en geweldig uitzicht!!

Aan de voet van Simiane-la-Rotonde staat het idyllische vakantiehuis van Alain en zijn vrouw. Het contact met Alain is erg vriendelijk en makkelijk. Het huis is comfortabel en sfeervol ingericht en heeft een heerlijke tuin met verschillende terrassen en een ruim zwembad. Het uitzicht vanaf het 'terras onder de rots' is fantastisch. Je kunt wandelen o.a. vanaf het huis. En het dorp Simiane, omringt met lavendelvelden, is heel bijzonder mooi en in de omgeving is veel te zien. Een plek om terug te komen!

Provence im April 2023

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist gemütlich eingerichtet, geräumig, gut ausgestattet und ruhig gelegen. Das Grundstück ist gepflegt und bietet diverse Aufenthaltsplätze. Die Aussicht auf die Altstadt und die Berge in der Ferne ist toll. Der Vermieter ist sehr nett, die Übergabe war absolut unkompliziert. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Lovely house

Very lovely house with the most amazing terrace and wonderful view. Alain is a super nice host, very helpful and welcoming! Simiane-la-Rotonde is a cute town. There are limited choice of restaurants in the town itself, but the ones there are nice. Closests groceries 10 minutes away by car, but there is also a small kiosk with necesseties 2 minutes by foot from the house.

Lovely house and location

The house is beautiful and very comfortable, as is the village in which it resides. It is well maintained and much thought has been given to every detail. My only complaint was the (high) charge for bed linens, towels and cleaning, which came to a total of much more than one night's stay. This should be posted in the listing as it effects overall cost, and in general seems like something that should be included (sheets and towels), and not an add-on. Alain, the owner, is very nice and accommodating, and immediately assisted us when we had a problem with ants in one of the rooms. However, we had to communicate through Google translate as he has even less English than I have French.

On est au pied d'un magnifique village. Il y a tout l'équipement nécessaire. On est accueilli avec le sourire et pleins de bons conseils de visites à faire. Il y a une jolie terrasse sous la roche avec une superbe vue. Je ne peux que conseiller d'y aller.

Week of Beautiful Quiet

Two of us spent a lovely week in October. We were too late to take advantage of the pool, but the fall weather was ideal for sitting at one of the three patio tables. Our favorite one was a total surprise since it wasn't in the photos. We appreciated the engineering marvel of the old family home, the organization and "just right" amount of supplies, and the kitchen's dishwasher. We prepared most meals at home and had everything we needed. The house seems ideal for a family since the upstairs has two beds and a tv room. The two of us liked that we had room to spread out. We love this part of Haute-Provence and this home is the perfect place to use as a sight-seeing hub.

Erholung in traumhafter Umgebung

Wir haben sehr erholsame Wochen in diesem wunderbaren Feriendomizil verbracht. Haus und Küche sind optimal eingerichtet, die Betten sind bequem, WLAN funktioniert einwandfrei. Draußen gibt es für jede Tageszeit eine Sitzecke und der Pool ist perfekt. Die Aussicht ist grandios! Der Bäcker ist in 8 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen und der Nachbarort Banon bietet alle anderen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, auch einen Markt am Dienstagvormittag. Der Gastgeber ist überaus zuvorkommend und gibt gern hilfreiche Tipps zu den Wanderungen in der Umgebung. Uns hat es super gut gefallen und wir werden wiederkommen.
