Me and my wife had a great no kids weekend. We got the house because of the pool table and dart boards so we were never bored. Super close to just about anything you wanted to do would definitely stay here again even with the kiddos next time lol.
The property was everything it said it would be. Lots of in house amenities to enjoy and access to the community pool to cool off in the afternoons. Excellent location and very comfortable. Highly recommend.

Guys' Weekend
We had a great time and the house comfortably accommodated all 12 of us. Short walk to Nick's on the Water and Shenanigans; it was perfect for us.
Chris’ house was perfect for our small group golf trip. The basement was a great place to hang out. Clean and as advertised.

Perfect location to Pocono Raceway
Loved the townhouse. We were there for the Xfinity Race with our team, great time in the game room with our crew members. Chris is great to work with. We will definitely rent again next year when we come back to Pocono.
Had a Blast. Very clean and Equipped. Game room and jacuzzi was amazing. Did a winter getaway but I'll definitely return to see how the summer is. I will recommend this home to everyone.
A good staycation during the memorial day weekend!
We started by drinking hella lot and playing pool! We played pool and darts all day long and it was never boring. Did a couple hikes the next day and jumped into the pool once we were back. Just amazing! The beds were amazing and so was the patio! Had meals on the patio together and drinks after that. Good location and a good locality to just take a peaceful stroll. Get food and cook there instead of ordering. Might visit again for a yet peaceful weekend.
As a family of 6, it isn't always easy to find an affordable getaway that also gives you great value and bang for your buck. This property accomplishes this. There are multiple large areas for everyone to hang out, with the "crown jewel" of areas, the lower level game room and bar, being the most impressive. A beautiful regulation-size pool table, two dart boards, Xbox on a giant screen TV and a 6 person bar kept everyone entertained every single night!
The 3 bedrooms easily accommodated our family of 6, but the added flexibility of the bunkbeds in the loft, and the futon in the lower level is a huge plus.
Every morning, we enjoyed watching multiple deer come right to the bottom of our deck to munch on some feed one of the other owners placed strategically for just that purpose. The house is located directly next to Big Boulder Lake and about 1 mile from Lake Harmony. The down side of this is that we found out that you must be a member of the Big Boulder community to take advantage of that lake's perks and Lake Harmony, although technically public, is surrounded by private residences which essentially makes that lake inaccessible also. Not a huge deal, though because there are plenty of state parks nearby with water access to please (we LOVED Beltsville Lake - public beach, super-clear water, great fishing). Also great restaurants nearby, along with Split Rock golf course, which is one of the hardest courses my son and I have played!
The townhouse community does have a pool for your use, along with two tennis courts. The pool is beautiful, but chilly (you are in the mountains!) but the tennis courts are in awful condition - still ok enough to appease novice players, but that is about it. The community also needs to repave the roads within the area - some of the potholes were nearly six feet wide and felt almost as deep!
Chris was VERY helpful throughout the process and the week we were there. We truly loved our stay and are already eyeing up a return in 2020! If you are looking for a great value vacation for a larger family, look no further!

That's what I'm talking about!! Great Home!
TV's, TV's and more! Thank you Chris for not being cheap with your TV sets! I hate old fashion set's and this home does not have one. That living room you see in the picture is prefect for watching movies! Wow! The windows in that room allow complete privacy because only the squirrels can look in from the trees. The unit is situated as the last house on the right and the only one with an L shaped back patio deck that curves around the back to the side of the building which give spacious room for grilling and relaxing. Chris...you only need a hammock and that would make it complete. I went with my wife and three children (14,15 and 17yrs) and they loved it! The roomy basement with two dart boards and nice pool table and tv's all over the place...fantastic for a group...some can be playing pool, other's watching the flat screen and others by the bar and even other's shooting darts! The only negatives that we can think of were 1- where is the complimentary coffee? The place is not very low priced. We were scrambling for a coffee bag but there was none. 2- What the heck happened to the Iron??? Lucky we were only staying for two nights cause we had none. 3- no linings or towels. If you want any it would be $20 per BED. Not good at all. We brought our own but weren't happy about that...Chris was great though and understood that this was not good news to anyone. Other than that the place was an absolute charm and the family went water rafting and that was definitely the icing on the cake!!! What a wonderful thrill for all. FYI: If you go water rafting on the weekday's it is cheaper!! Kitchen was perfect with everything you need minus a toaster but we didn't need one. We would absolutely stay here again in a heart beat! My family loved it! At the time we went, there was only one other family on the opposite side of the street which gave us the liberty to really feel free from any distractions. Thanks Chris for a smooth transaction and stay at your wonderful place. God bless you and yours and the property. Thanks again!

Not Good
We have to say we were very disappointed in our home at Harmony Lake. The house is advertised to house12. We had 11 and had to rent the linins which I have never done before. The linins were not adequate and towels had to be shared or washed constantly. There were no dish towels and no pot holders or oven mitts. There was not silverware to accommodate more than one meal-forks etc. The bar area downstairs was very nice but no glasses or a place to wash them. The kitchen cabinets were a disaster and not clean. The living room carpets were filthy with stains and spots all over. We did not dare walk barefoot. It is advertised as lakes within walking distance. That is true but we were not informed until we got there that they are private and cannot be used unless you are a member. The pool area was very nice and we did use it. All in all our family made the best of it and we enjoyed the area and being together. However, we would never rent this home again.

Friends and I had a great time at this property to get away for the weekend. The basement was a great area to watch the Phillies take down the Padres both Friday and Saturday night!!
Me and a small group of friends stayed here for the weekend. The amenities were great and everything we needed. The basement is the perfect little cave and the multiple TVs made it easy to watch sports. Definitely recommend!!
This property was fantastic. 7 of us went on a bachelor party and we all had our own beds. The bar room with the pool table was very fun. The location was also very good. Lots of things to do in the area.
Despite some of the hiccups that the township was dealing with at the time, the owner was very accommodating and was in constant contact about the status of the issue. The home was perfect for our family of 13 getaway, providing much space to give everyone their own personal space if needed. We had 3 kids under the age of 6 and they loved the basement and the outdoor deck. The location is 25 minutes from Jim Thorpe, where we were able to find many things to do for the grandparents all the way down to the kids.
We had a great stay at this house. Personally loved the basement area with the bar and pool table. The location is also within walking distance to a couple restaurants which was nice. I have no complaints at all and would definitely consider staying again!
From the time I booked Chris the owner was super easy to talk to and help with everything. This house was amazing. The basement alone was worth the rental. Had an amazing time here and would definitely book again
We had a great time the game room is the best, spent most of the time down there. Beds were comfortable.

About the host
Hosted by Chris
We are both originally from the Poconos, but now live in the Philadelphia area. We have spent the last number of years coming back up to the Poconos with our two children on weekends so they can enjoy the area as much as we do. Our family is above all a skiing family but also enjoy camping, hiking and biking. We purchased our Town house this year and look forward to many years or great weekends, and also hope to share it with you as well.
Why they chose this property
We love how centrally located it is to everything, especially Big Boulder and Jack Frost. There are so many great places to go to in the area. One of our favorites is Hickory Run State Park. They have great hiking trails, Hawk Falls, shades of death, just to name a few, and of course the boulder field.
What makes this property unique
The basement is like your own private sport bar and game room
