My daughter and I stayed over the weekend for a hockey trip. The host Patricia was very receptive and accommodating. Its in a good location to visit all the local attractions as well.
It was a great stay. House is well-equipped and cozy. The location is perfect with lots of hiking opportunities. The only downside was the 1400$ deposit or 70$ insurance we had to pay up front.
Great location for hiking Adams, Madison and others
Spent a week-end to walk the Adams-Madison loop. Checked-in on a Friday, out on a Sunday. Were 4 adults (parents with 2 18+ kids).
Great location to hike Adams and Madison. Starting point less than 10 minutes away. Same for Gorham down-town, close-by with many outing options. Walmart nearby as well. So can get ready to go in not too much time.
Nearly everything was great with the cabin. Plenty of gears to cook. Good set of knives. Spices, sugar, mayo, coffee, coffee filters, etc. available to use at no charge if in need to get going. Dishwasher on site.
Only point why we did not give this place a "Perfect" rating: BBQ grill was totally busted. Burners were rusted beyond the point of being operational to grill anything. But perfect is perfect, the grill was not, hence our call.
In terms of things that could have been a good add-on: 1) an apron for cooking. Not the kind of thing people travel with. 2) Oven mits for just the same reason. 3) Rags for the kitchen. Might have been there and just did not see them. Minor stuff though.
Overall liked the place and will consider next time around.
We loved our stay at the cabin, it was plenty spacious for our group and the location was perfect for a quiet weekend away. Our host communicated with us about some things pertaining to the cabin but unfortunately I wasn’t able to message them back through Vrbo, obviously this isn’t their fault.
The only addition that I think would be nice would be a binder with information about local events and food in the area. We have had this at other places that we have stayed and it came in handy when planning meals and activities.
Cabin was clean, comfortable and close to everything we wanted to do.

ok stay
I would say its an ok stay I would of appreciated more of a dusted/cleaned cabin. The bed on the floor was terribly uncomfortable. The place is quite and nice close to the state park. There were too many cobb webs I know its a cabin but it felt like it could of been a bit cleaner and dusted. The shower was not safe so we took out the shower mat and the shower curtain is a fall risk its too long and someone can step on it and fall. overall i would say its an ok stay I don't like that you have to come in through the basement I would prefer through the kitchen. The outside Kitchen stairs were very steep and unsteady I would recommend those to be replaced. My parents are older and not steady on their feet.
We stayed here for a month in our little slice of Gorham and it was perfect for weekends away at Sunday River. Me and my partner had a great time unplugging, and we brought a projector to play some old DVDs after skiing. Gorham is cute and has a cute coffee shop and some breweries.
Thank you so much for your amazing communication and making everything so easy! We loved it here!!
We had a wonderful visit the cabin was comfortable and very " unplugged " style in a mountainous neighborhood with short commute to.local shopping if you want this type of experiemce it is outstanding if you have young children visiting or prefer the experience " plugged in" bring a small smart tv or your laptop the phone service is good enough to use your phone as a hotspot for streaming
Thank you for a pleasent stay 🎄
Great stay ended getting there a little later than expected so was kind of hard to find in the dark but once we did everything was great would definitely rent again
This property was decently located and gave a good access to the places we wanted to visit during fall. it was as definitely as indicated in the listing and we would recommend this to anyone who'd like to visit. Special word about our host, who was kind enough to mail us the AirPods we forgot. She was very helpful throughout the process.
The cabin is nice, was well located for us and easy to get access. The information given by the owner was excellent. For those with an ev, an 120v outlet is available outside and easily reachable. The BBQ needs to be replaced though but it was not a big deal.
We had a great stay. The cabin was nice and clean and in a great location. My only complaints are that there were a lot of bulbs out on the light fixture in the common area and we would have appreciated a door on the second bedroom.
John and Pat Clark are parents of eight grown kids. Pat loves hiking, running and exploring the outdoors. John likes puttering around the cabin and especially seems to enjoy splitting wood.
What makes this property unique
Although the area is peaceful and away from the noise, it is surprisingly only a 10 minute drive to stores like Walmart, so if you forget something, no worries! Also, more importantly, since outdoor adventures are lots of fun but sometimes risky, the cabin is close to a major hospital.
