About this property

The Lily Pad - just a hop to everything coastal

This charming home offers a jumping off point to all the area’s attractions and a homey atmosphere to hunker down in at night. It’s just a short hop to Port Orford’s beaches, Garrison Lake, local artists' galleries and one of a kind restaurants featuring seafood, homemade pastries, breads, soups, and other goodies.

The main floor bedroom has a California king bed, large closet, and a full bathroom with step-in shower en suite. The upstairs bedroom has queen bed, a trundle day bed, a mini-fridge and microwave for those midnight snacks, and a full bath with shower/tub combo. The two living room couches are long enough for sleeping.

This 1940's home features a fully-outfitted kitchen with several coffee makers, Keurig, blender, waffle maker, mixer, pots and pans, cookie sheets, muffin tins, utensils, dishes, flatware. Front-loading LG washer and dryer on site. Bring your dog, if you wish, to hang out in a pet friendly enclosed patio or in the small dog run in the back yard.

There's WiFi, a VCR/DVD player, and a lots of games, puzzles, VCR's and DVD’s for when you just want to hang out at home for a while before heading out for your next adventure.

Your hosts, Susan and Wiz, bought the house in June 2016. Susan is a former live theatre set designer and hopes to recapture the ambiance of the 1940's while providing all the conveniences modern travelers expect from a vacation home. The house is fully functional, clean and cozy.

Lovely Cottage

We have stayed in many places and this is one of my favorite places we've stayed! The only issues we had were small and taken care of right away by the host, who was also great to work with. Love the decor and the covered back patio which was a treat during the stormy conditions.

Lily pad fishing trip

We had an amazing time. We rented the lily pad for my moms annual birthday fishing trip up the elk. It was a very nice place to come back to after long days of fishing. Susan was great and was very prompt when we came in late after fishing. The lily pad is homey and has everything you would need!

The Lilly Pad was a nice place to rest. Port Orford and the surrounding area offer lots of nice nature, history and art. The owners were very friendly and we would stay here again. It is a good value.

Amazing stay

Susan was so nice and accomodating. Upon learning I was traveling alone with no plan on what to do, she gave some great recommendations of things to do and see nearby. I stayed for a week and this was the perfect place to stay. Not too far from the ocean, but far enough away that you dont get all of the 101 traffic. The house was very clean. Susan makes the check in and check out process very simple. I loved my stay at The Lily Pad and in Port Orford. I will most definitely be back to share its beauty with others!

Perfect for what we needed

Home Away From Home

The Lily Pad truly has a nice home away from home vibe. It’s very quiet with a lot of privacy even though it’s in a neighborhood. After a day of adventures it always felt so good to get back home and relax in the comfort of this well stocked home. We especially enjoyed the attached sun room. Susan was a delight & made sure we were right at home. We will definitely stay here again.

Great stay

Great place to stay in Port O! Susan was warm and inviting, and is very near incase any issues arise(none did) the king size bed downstairs was a step above most rental beds! The shower that was just updated on 1st level was an excellent upgrade, spacious and has a hand held sprayer (Seldom found in my adventures)! There was Deer all over town, and plenty of wild life around to listen too! We stayed about 3 nights and all was good!

A peaceful and relaxing stay

Susan was a fabulous host and made our week-long stay very relaxing. She made sure when we arrived where everthing was located throughout the nicely decorated house which made our stay very relaxing. Our two small dogs even enjoyed the comfortable surroundings the Lily Pad had to offer. I would highly recommend this home to everyone. It’s clean, quiet and well taken care of. The LilyPad is such a nice homey place to just relax and be on vacation without worrying about anything. Port Orford is a nice place to visit. Lots to do. Totally enjoyed hanging out at the house doing nothing but relaxing in the back porch or watching a movie on the TV. Saw a couple of young deer!

Comfortable and Cozy

Absolutely enjoyed our stay this past weekend. Comfortable and cozy little place. Everything you could possibly want was provided: fully stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, clean bathrooms and bedrooms. Loved the private backyard. Great for our two dogs, they loved it too! Very close to beach, Garrison Lake, restaurants, grocery store and art galleries. Couldn't ask for a more pleasant stay. Susan was incredible. We will be back! J and L

Comfy family house

Susan was very helpful with all aspects of this rental, responding quickly and explaining the best parts of Port Orford. The house had absolutely everything needed for feeling like home and was impeccably clean. Even my dog had a sunroom to laze around in and a grassy yard to roam. Clean, Comfortable and Accommodating

Great accommodations. Beds were comfortable and having two bathrooms helped us get ready quickly for a full day on the coast. The "pad" is easy to find and close (but not too close) to 101. The large kitchen was fully stocked and I loved the automatic grind and brew coffee maker. Our son enjoyed the big room and full bath upstairs. He liked the pod coffee maker and TV up there too. We had a very enjoyable stay. Thanks.

Very good value and very nice place.

The Lily Pad was quiet, clean and very comfortable for a girls getaway trip. Two of us stayed there, plenty of room to spread out, and also room to host two additional friends who were staying elsewhere, for dinner one night. We particularly appreciated that pets were allowed: that was a must for my friend! The enclosed back porch would be great in the rain, but happily the weather was beautiful while we were there! Don't miss the Cape Blanco Lighthouse or the Crazy Norwegian for fish and chips. I am hoping to make it back there next summer! Thank you!

Perfect!

We had the pleasure of staying at the Lily Pad for 7 days. It was wonderful! I loved the retro kitchen with all of the modern conveniences. I cooked a roast and vegetables in the Crock-Pot and it was so nice to come home to it after a day of exploring the beaches. The house was clean, well-kept and well-stocked. It really was like being home. I would go back in a heartbeat. Susan, the owner, was very nice and personable. Port Orford is a lovely little town and the Lily Pad is a lovely little house to stay in.

Wonderful, too short stay

This property was perfect for 2 couples. We all enjoyed the cozy home and fixing Thanksgiving dinner together. Both bathrooms were beautiful and spacious. It worked out well for our dog also. Susan was a wonderful host. We enjoyed visiting with her and seeing the tiny house she is building. We wished we had time to stay longer.

Showing our town to out-of town friends, we passed this cute cottage which was for sale. Our friend said, "I'd like to live in that one!" Long story short -- we bought it and now offer it for your enjoyment.
