Chautauqua Lake Escape - 300 yards from Chautauqua and 10 min from Lake Erie

This quaint house is located in the Historic town of Mayville, New York. The town of Mayville has many great features including Lakeside Park which has a basketball court, two tennis courts and a playground for younger children. Chautauqua Lake is a short stroll down Pratt Street and the front porch has a wonderful lake view. The front porch has seating for 4 and is a great spot for morning coffee. A rails to trails bike trail is accessible at the end of Pratt St. The home has many great features including central air conditioning, four bedrooms and two bathrooms. On the first floor is bedroom #1 which has a queen bed. This bedroom is located directly across from a full bathroom. Up the stairs are the remaining 3 bedrooms. Bedroom #2 has three twin beds. Bedroom #3 has a king bed. Bedroom #4 has a double bed. Outside bedroom #4 is an open area with two twin beds and a twin mattress under one of those beds. Bathroom #2 is off of this open space. The open space has a smart TV. All other bedrooms also have TV's in them. Downstairs is the entry room, a kitchen, a family room, and a dining room. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless appliances, granite, garbage disposal, dishwasher, trash compactor and an island with four stools. The dining room has a large farm table which could seat 8-10 people. The family room has an HDTV and has two couches and a recliner. The rear deck has a gas grill and furniture to seat 6-8 people. The house has been completely remodeled over the last 2 years and both bathrooms are new. The downstairs bathroom has a claw foot soaking tub, a standup shower, and a pedestal sink. The upstairs bathroom has a stand up shower. If you are interested in a lake experience with many amenities within 15-30 minutes then this property is perfect for you. Peek n Peak Resort is 20 minutes away with Skiing, Golf, Spa etc.... Southern Tier Brewing Company is 25 minutes away. There are several wineries and a wine trail along route 5 near Lake Erie which is only 10 minutes away. The nightly rental rate is for 6 guests and there is an extra guest fee for groups larger than six.

New in 2023 - There is a detached garage with an apartment above it that may or may not be occupied by the owners when the house is rented.

Lakeview Gem

Lovely house in a quiet, pretty neighborhood just a short walk to the lake. This is a great old house that has been updated but hasn't lost its charm. Our host was very helpful and attentive. We had several family members staying after a family reunion and had a delightful time. Everyone loved the house and location.

A Wonderful Family Get-away

We had a wonderful time at the Chautauqua Family Escape. The owners gave such attention to what a large family would need. The kitchen was wonderfully stocked, as well. We enjoyed the deck in the morning as well as in the evening. The backyard was great for family soccer and football as well as mountain pies and s'mores over the great fire pit! We loved being able to walk down to the lake as well as for ice cream at Boxcar Barney's! We will definitely choose this place again!

Family Fun

Love the location, so close to marina, made so convenient to be on the lake whenever, great area for biking, walking, lake view Restaurant and Barney’s ice cream within walking distance. Great front and back porch for relaxing! Would love to stay again, only 2 hr drive!!!

We love this place and its access to the marina, proximity to the biggest ice cream cones, and its overall functionality. We've stayed twice and would come back again. This time we unfortunately had a funeral and were able to gather with family afterwards here. It is small but mighty and met all our needs.

Annual Trip to Mayville

This is a beautiful and very clean home that is just a stone’s throw from Lake Chautauqua. The house has everything you need, both inside and out. Check-in/Check-out is very simple and the property owner is a timely communicator and very responsive. Our family comes every June to Mayville and this is “our place!”

Another family reunion at Lake Chautauqua

Great place in a lovely neighborhood. Quick access to walking trail and pickleball courts. The house is a little further back from lake than I thought and the front door is quite tricky to unlock. Knowing that...i would most certainly stay here again. The house was perfect for our family. Thank you.
