Enjoy our large game room year-round (with AC or heat) when you can't be on the lake! Lightly developed this 684-acre lake is part of the Crow river system and is known for low traffic and great fishing year-round, especially walleyes.
For enjoying time on the water we offer guests a paddle boat, canoe, kayaks, a paddleboard and a water mat. We also have a pontoon you can rent during your stay.
Our shoreline has a sandy-rocky bottom with minimal weeds, and a low-slope out. Depending on spring rains, water depths will vary but often it's shallow enough for wading and swimming with little ones.
Relax with your morning coffee or enjoy the sunsets from our patio or the deck on the stairs. Our tree-lined lot offers both shade and sun with open flat areas for lawn games and star gazing. Just across the street and within walking distance are scenic woodlands, marshes and rolling prairie in the State Wildlife Mgmt lands.
Our main level welcomes plenty of natural light into the open-concept great room with a spacious kitchen, dining area, and living room leading out to the deck. There are (2) bedrooms and a full bath, as well, and the game room is just a couple steps down from the living room. We have a full size ping pong, foosball, and air hockey tables; a full size fridge and small microwave. Plus table & chairs for eating or puzzles, games and crafts. Here is where you will find our lawn games, sand toys and other activities to keep kiddos busy. The game room is temp-controlled with AC in the summer and heat in winter, making it a great place for pets, as well.
For your grilling needs we have both charcoal and gas grills, with propane provided - and it's just a few steps out the back door.
The basement has two bedrooms and a full size bathroom, along with a great room where kids, teens and adults alike can hang out, lounge or nap. There are TVs with Google Chromecast + DVD players on both levels, and movie collections on both levels. You can also find plenty of books, cards, boardgames, puzzles and toys.
The Public Access is on the north end of the lake (about 1/4 mile from us) and has a concrete ramp, parking area and a sandy beach-like area.
** There is a dock at the home but currently no boat lift. Please bring an anchor for any watercraft you bring to anchor near shore overnight.
