Hamlin Lake stay

Great place. Quiet, secluded with wonderful view of the lake. House was really nice with great windows and the fact that part of the house was left from the original in the 1800s was really cool.

Great private place

We had a great extended weekend stay and enjoyed the spacious house, privacy and remote location with great views of the water. The fire pit overlooking the lake with sunsets over the water was definitely one of our favorite parts. Communication before our stay with Todd was very easy and responsive.

Beautiful view

The inside of the house was clean and comfortable. The entry breezeway was musty and needed cleaning in the corners. Had to clean outside deck before we could use. Owner friendly and easy to contact. Very nice outside sitting area overlooking the lake. Much wildlife to be seen.

Fishing Getaway

Loved the property! Tucked away and very private. Home was clean, comfortable, and the kitchen is very well supplied for all sorts of cooking. My party loves fishing, and being right on Hamlin Lake was a huge bonus. We spent a lot of time fishing down at the dock. The property is located on one of the shallower ends of the lake, so you have to fish through weeds and be prepared to catch smaller fish. If you bring topwater lures you'll be fine and catch some nice pike and bass! Larger bluegill came out at dusk too. The property is close to Ludington and all it has to offer. yosdock.

Close to the water

Hamlin lake get away

Such a roomy house. We especially enjoyed the large kitchen with attached dining room. We used the propane grill. What a beautiful setting! We loved seeing deer. The fire pit above Hamlin Lake was ideal. My husband as the driver wasn’t to happy of the distance back and forth to Ludington…

Absolutely loved our stay. Beautiful location, owners had all necessities for the kitchen plus additional clean supplies, linens, and toiletries. The only thing that would have been better is if there was better access to the lake, which we knew in advance may be a problem due to weeds.

Away from it all

This home was beautifully set up on a hill overlooking Hamlin lake. Anything you could need was provided: from the kitchen to the fire pit. It was homey and relaxing. The master suite 2nd floor views of the sunset were amazing, complete with deer walking through the yard. Yet with all this beauty comes the price of dirt roads and far removed from downtown Ludington. It was a bummer to spend 20-25 min in the car each way to get to the state park, city beach, shopping or dining.

This property was prefect for our family vacation! The house was very clean and very roomie. The fire pit has a very nice view of the lake and pretty when the sun is setting. We rented a pontoon on the lake for a day, the water was prefect.

Beautiful and relaxing

This cottage has a beautiful out of the way setting. We enjoyed seeing all the wildlife including a Bald eagle! The cottage was very clean and had plenty of room for our family of 6. The kitchen had the appliances and dishes needed for our meals. As a family which loves to fish, we could not confidently get our boat to the dock because it is relatively shallow and there is a lot of rice grass to maneuver through. However the boat launch was not too far away and never busy so it did not deter us much. Being able to have the whole area to yourselves was so nice and we loved our stay!

The Third Year

We really enjoy the lake house cottage at Hamlin Lake. This year was our third stay there. The cottage sleeps 8 very comfortably. We have a very large bedroom upstairs with its own full bathroom. There are two bedrooms separated by a bathroom downstairs. The kitchen has everything a person needs with plenty of room to work. The family room had plenty of seating area and a large flat screen TV and games to play. We enjoyed the fire pit outside with seating around it. The addition of central air last year was a wonderful bonus. There is plenty of privacy on this very large and spacious lot at the end of a road. It’s only about 15-20 minutes to Lake Michigan and the Ludington State Park or Downtown Ludington for shopping or restaurants.

A wonderful Ludington Retreat

We’d been to Ludington many times before but always at a friend’s place. This was our first time renting a property and it was a delight. Nicole was responsive to my many questions, the house was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. It was “away from it all” and beautiful. A bit of a bumpy gravel road to get there but we’ll worth it! We would definitely rent again!

Absolutely Fabulous!

This was our second stay at this gorgeous property, and it was wonderful! We had beautiful weather this year and I was able to spend time outside everyday reading, knitting, looking at the lake and just enjoying all the abundant wildlife. The highlight - a hawk swooping down into the yard and making off with a chipmunk for lunch:) The house itself is amazing! The floor to ceiling windows overlooking the lake in the master bedroom are wonderful to wake up to. And since it's on the second floor, the trees surrounding the house make it seem like you are in a tree house:). Beautiful views! We had a wonderfully relaxing time and are looking forward to coming again sometime in the future:)
