Weeks holiday to explore Cornwall

Quiet retreat. Hosts answered all our questions and queries. Ideal spot to explore South West Cornwall. Lodge plenty big enough for 2 with lots of amenities provided. Very private and quiet, but hosts on hand if needed. Would visit again.

5 night break in Cornwall

We have just returned from a 5 night stay at Trethellan Lodge in Cornwall. The accommodation was clean and cosy, just what we were looking for. Iain and Julia were fantastic hosts, from helping us avoid the pitfalls of satnav to get there, recommending local walks and pubs and allowing us to meet and feed the animals. The site was very central and we had numerous options available to us for dog walks. We had a lovely time and would thoroughly recommend this lodge as a base to explore Cornwall.

Beautifully furnished cottage, quiet location, friendly hosts

We loved our short break. We had everything we needed and our hosts were on hand but not intrusive. We arrived late in the evening to find lights on and fresh eggs, along with coffee, tea and milk. The directions given were great and essential. We had our dog with us so the only disappointment was the garden whilst private was not secure and with so many animals close by she had to be on a lead the whole time. There are no safe walks close by but loads a short car journey away. Kids would love it as they get to help out with the animals and we would certainly consider staying again if we were in the area.

Family man with 4 school-aged kids. Thoroughly enjoying running our family business with my hard-working wife Julia after spending too long in the rat-race. Love travelling - stayed in anything and everything from a tent to a 5 star hotel all over the world. Spent 3.5 years in Texas before moving here and loved every moment when I wasn't working. Still working on losing the trans-Atlantic accent.
