Week of Maui Bliss
This was the perfect place for my husband and I to stay. We loved seeing whales and turtles from the deck every morning and evening. Condo has all amenities you would need to dine in or cook - we opted to dine at some great restaurants in Lahaina to help support the community. We will book for our next trip to Maui!

Great VRBO in a central location on Maui
We enjoyed our 3 night stay. We were able do it all golfing, beach days, and trips to grocery stores easily from the property. The views were amazing from the property. The property was quiet and well maintained. The owners were very responsive. We would definitely stay again.

Great property & great location
We loved this property. It was conveniently located on the island which made island exploring very easy. It overlooks the water & with the balcony we could enjoy the peace and quiet while watching the whales and turtles pass. The hosts responded quickly to all of our questions and it was nice having a binder at the property giving suggestions about restaurants and places. We highly recommend this property if your travels take you to Maui.

Great during Whale Season!
I will admit I just took a shot at picking a unit that was close to where we were scheduled to take a few Whale tours at PacWhale Eco-Adventures (at the suggestion of owner). Great cruises, saw plenty of whales, in fact we were able to watch the whales from the condo patio, it was a fantastic way to watch the sunrise. Price, location & owner interactions were more than acceptable. Another suggestion from owner is rent a car, I would say again great advice, there are shops to walk to and we walked to the Cruise location, but you will want to venture out around Maui and when you need groceries, it is about 15 min from Walmart, Target, Safeway, etc. Thank you for sharing your home in Maui!!Ray & Sabra

Perfect stay
We were looking for a quiet, less crowded place—away from the more populated areas yet still conveniently close to shopping—and this was perfect. The marina and local shops were just a short walk away, making it easy to explore. The waterfront was ideal for a bit of snorkeling or a peaceful sunset beach walk from the park just down the road.The owners were incredibly attentive to our travel needs and went above and beyond to accommodate us. We truly appreciated their hospitality. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Gorgeous Location, Fun Condo, Needs Deep Cleaning
This condo is centrally located on the island of Maui, so it's convenient to drive west toward Lahaina side, or east to Hana or Haleakala. The view is to the south and great! You'll see the immediate rocky shoreline, breaking waves, distant Kehei and Wailea beaches and the Molokini crater island. You'll hear the lapping of waves all day and night. We briefly saw humpback whales breaching. The condo is filled with interesting art that includes many primitive African paintings. The only issues we had were that the condo seemed unnecessarily over-populated with furniture, which makes the living room and bedroom seem cramped. Also, when I moved a bedroom dresser out from the wall to get access to an outlet, I found an enormous amount of dust caked on the tile floor, dresser back and wall. Other areas behind furniture along walls had the same issue. I am allergic to dust. We suggest that the owners ask their the maid service to do some regular deep cleaning.

Comfortable home with a great view
Mr and Mrs Haskins. were great at communication and their home made our trip even better. Views were great from the balcony we even saw some turtles on our first day. If we ever come back we will definitely stay here again. :) Overall we are very satisfied and happy.

It was a beautiful condo right next to the beach that gave soothing sounds when the waves crashed against the beach wall. The condo itself spewed color with art and made it feel like I was sleeping in an art museum.

Great Location!
This condo was perfect for 2 people & 3 nights was the perfect amount of time to stay. The only downsides we experienced, mostly personal problems for me not my hubby, was I barely fit my 3 nights of stuff into the empty drawers we found in the bedroom. We did feel like if we were staying for longer that we would have had to live out of our suitcases. However, I do believe if you pack lightly there is plenty of room for personal items. Lastly, I was pregnant for this trip and felt like the water pressure in the shower was a bit uncomfortable for my liking. Not the end of the world and would definitely not prevent me from staying here in the future. Overall, this condo & the owners were lovely! We felt for the location and price it is really an unbeatable place to stay. Thanks again Robb & Linda for being great hosts! We appreciate you allowing us to stay in your beautiful condo <3

Great location but lack of on site parking at this Condominium is a deal breaker for us returning. We were not comfortable having to park our rental car, that we’re responsible for, on a public street.

My first time in VRBO . I found it difficult to find the information that the owner was uploading. We rented in ARB&B and it was much easier to navigate the app. Other than that the stay was great and the place was nice! Thank you .

too cluttered to even open my suitcase
we really wanted to love this place with the awesome ocean views and barbecue but the decor was so personalized and full of clutter there was no where to set your suitcase to open it and get comfortable. once you remove all the pillows and comforters from the bed and set them down, you are sleeping in red flannel sheets which was strange. owners were great trying to fix cable box issues but we ultimately left three days early as it was just too hard to feel like a home away from home for the five days minimum. If they add comfortable rugs, remove excess furniture/chairs and tons and tons of clutter it could be a lot better for someone looking to unwind and feel at home with that amazing ocean sound/view/breeze

Misleading listing - do not stay here
We were surprised that Vrbo is allowing this property to be rented out. The owner lives there full-time, the unit is cluttered and overpacked with her personal items and food, and the bedroom is locked for her personal use (While the unit is advertised as one bedroom, you are given a bed in the main room like a studio apartment). There was a lack of transparency on Vrbo site. Only after we arrived, owner revealed that 1) The unit piles dust from the sugar plantation nearby. 2) Tile floors are hard to keep clean so wear slippers. 3) The owner lives there full-time. The owner uses the assigned parking spot, so the guest must park on the street. 4) There is personal food stored in the refrigerator and freezer, and personal items in the closets and desk and other drawers. 5) The slider shade is broken so not to move it. There were other issues: - The dust in the unit was so severe that two of us had respiratory and allergic reactions. - The apartment was cluttered and overpacked with the owner’s personal things, with hardly any room for us to unpack. - They get their personal mail at the unit even during the guest stay. Owner had one of their friends enter the premises to retrieve their mail while we were there. Since our code was shared with the friend, we felt unsecured during the rest of the stay. - The unit needed some upkeep for it to be Vrbo rental property. The Slider screen was broken. - We had to chase them down and call multiple people to get check-in information.

The owners are a retired Oregon Assistant Attorney General and a retired Oregon public school teacher (home economics and art) living in Portland, Oregon. They are native Oregonians having attended the University of Oregon (and Harvard Law School) and Oregon State University respectively. They are golfers, gardeners, readers, travelers and amateur artists. They have a blended family of 5 children and 7 grandchildren in Portland, Berkeley and Sequim, WA which they try to keep up with.

Why they chose this property

We bought this property because it is our favorite place in the world. As Mauians say "Maui no ka oi," which translates as "Maui is the best." We love the climate, the culture and the people.
