Crowded, but convenient

We had 13 people all above age 10, some were very crowded. Maybe because are Americans and the older boys do not want to share a bed. Also, a double bed hardly holds a couple that is older. The beds are very uncomfortable. But on the positive side, it was clean, near a Tesco and some Turkish food places and a bus line which we had to used if we wanted to get to the train. The very young and able amongst us did walk to the Tube station. Communication with the host was possible. Parking was curbside, so find it if you can.

Very pleased with space and owner

The house met all of our needs as far as space and it was clean. Communication with the owner was excellent. My only issue was getting into central London with kids and public transportation was time consuming.

Family of 9 Christmas break stay

Me and my family of 8 adults and a two year old stayed here for Christmas. The location and layout of the house was good and we loved the details in each room also the garden was nice. We could see the owner had made efforts to present the accommodation in a good state. The decor and furnishings were to good taste and standards. However there were some downsides to our stay and our experience, the following was noted: 1. Unfortunately all the cutlery, some pots and trays were dirty we had to clean everything before using it. 2. All the mattresses were hard and way too thin and uncomfortable, some couldn't sleep on them at all. 3. There were only 4 forks in the house so we had to eat our Christmas dinner with plastic forks we brought! 4. The locks on some of the bedroom doors did not work, meaning the the doors wouldn’t close properly. 5. Wi-Fi reception was very poor and at most times non existent. Leaving us to use/resort to using our phone hotspots 6. There was not anti bac spray or cleaning spray. 7. The towel radiator in the loft bathroom did not work for the duration of our stay, despite trying to adjust the controls. This meant that the bathroom was cold and we couldn’t dry the towels. 8. We wanted to wash a few items of clothing, however there was only soap powder and no fabric softener available. The host was very nice and helped answer any questions. Check in was easy however there was a few let downs but it did the job for our Christmas break.

Très bonne adresse

Bonne location. Hôte très prompte dans ses réponses. Habitation propre et assez cosy. Bons équipements. Seul petit bémol: il y a en fait 5 chambres; la 6e est un salon avec des clics clacs mais pour lesquels il n'y avait pas de literie et peu confortables. C'est plus pour 10 personnes que 17 (au niveau de la place pour manger aussi)

Maison très agréable et propriétaire aux petits soins

Nous sommes partis 3 jours et 2 nuits avec 6 mineurs et 6 adultes dans cette maison anglaise très agréable à vivre. Pas toujours évident de trouver la route le premier jour quand on est pas du coin alors un petit conseil pour éviter les détours à pieds, ne pas faire le tour du "cul de sac", il y a un petit chemin qui donne directement accès à la maison. Merci aux propriétaires pour leur accessibilité et leurs attentions, un petit mot de bienvenue, confiture, lait, oeufs, essuies de bain, crème de douche... Pour 12 personnes, cuisine et salon un peu restreint mais suffisamment de pièces spacieuses pour ne pas se marcher dessus et pour que les plus jeunes puissent se retrouver entre eux. Un grand merci et à un de ces jours. Charles
