Egg Harbor Log Cabin, Door County

The perfect romantic or family getaway. This lovely log cabin spot is cozy and quiet, but located minutes from the waterfront village of Egg Harbor. Nestled in the woods, you will think you are miles from anyone else but you can still enjoy all the theater, arts, shopping, outdoor sports and great festivals of Door County without any lengthy travel time.

The cabin consists of a natural log great room finished with a locally sourced hardwood floor and welcoming rugs, with sleeping alcove on the first floor. In the sleeping alcove there is a comfy queen sized bed with welcoming sheets and bedding. There is a wall length linen privacy curtain if you would like to use it -- great if you want to read by the fire and your significant other wants to sleep! On the first floor is a full bathroom with walk in shower, complete kitchen with dishwasher and full sized appliances and living area with wood burning fireplace. The loft stairs are steep with handrails, but perfectly safe. The loft is definitely not suitable for small children or people with mobility issues. The stairs lead to a loft area with two twin beds plus door to private second floor deck. Amenities include large fire pit outdoors, generous front porch for enjoying the night air, wood burning fireplace, completely wooded 1.5 acre property, Spectrum cable TV, television with dvd player and internet/wifi. The company Mosquito Squad sprays the acreage with people and pet friendly spray to keep the mosquitos and ticks under control.

The cabin is available year round and is located near snow shoe trails, cross country skiing areas and many restaurants that are open all year. Egg Harbor is ten minutes from Fish Creek and Baileys Harbor and 20 minutes from Sister Bay. Up to two dogs allowed for stays at this cabin.

Cozy Spot
I chose this location since it is close to town (Egg Harbor) and 3 minutes from dear friends. My dog stayed stayed with me and it was easy to get her out and about on the property. This cozy cabin had all that I needed to spend time in beautiful Door County. PS it was during some extremely cold temps but it was warm and cozy in the cabin.

This is our 2nd stay at the cabin. Everything as described. Great communication with owner. Great location, close to Egg Harbor. There were only 2 of us, so we didn't use the loft. The only bedroom downstairs is not a separate room. There is a curtain to pull across to have some partial privacy. Plenty of firewood on the property to purchase if needed for the fireplace or firepit. Both times were Winter visits. The cabin stays warm with the fireplace and additional heat if needed.

Our sweet Door County cabin weekend!
ABSOLUTLEY WONDERFUL experience at this complete gem of a property! It is in a perfect location, in a beautiful, quiet, cozy, charming spot in the woods, yet close to town where there is much to do. The cabin itself makes you relax and feel at home the moment you walk in the door. The owner is a doll as well! We will for SURE be back!!

Perfect quaint log cabin with all the amenities. This was for our anniversary and we loved everything. We didn't turn the TV on once and simply enjoyed the fireplace and each other. Close to town, but nestled in the woods. Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay!
This was our home away from home for our Door County visit late September. It was the first time we took our pup on vacation and this was the perfect place to bring him. Karen made sure we had what we needed as pet owners, and the cabin was cute and in an ideal location for exploring the peninsula. We would definitely stay there again.

This cozy cabin in the middle of the woods was perfect for a few days of relaxation after a busy football weekend in Green Bay! Great amenities, great location, and quiet surroundings. We will definitely be back next year!

A Wonderful Time.
My family had a wonderful time at the Egg Harbor Log Cabin. It was perfect for my teenage boys, my husband, and our two dogs. The property was so peaceful and comfortable, we had everything we needed and then some. Karen was a great easy going communicator and everything was super organized. The location was great! A beautiful view of the lake smacks you in face as you go down the hill to enter into town. There is a great market in town so we actually ate at the cabin around the campfire a bit. There are really good restaurants in town too. I can definitely see us staying here again and would highly recommend it to anyone!

Nice and cozy little Door County cabin. Great location. Wished the furniture on the front porch was clean - or there was at least some wipes or something for us to clean off the chairs and table. Didn't spend much time outside due to that. Appreciated the basket of sheets and supplies for the dog.

Cute cabin, perfect for 2-3 people. Very clean, easy check in process. Close to everything in Egg Harbor. We cooked a few nights - the kitchen is fully equipped and appliances all worked well. Would stay again!

The location was great, only a few minutes from town but still very secluded! Good central location to a lot of different places in Door County. Loved the log cabin, made it feel warm and cozy. We used the fireplace during some cool evenings in May and it was great. We had an issue with hot water during our stay & Karen was able to help us out right away and found that it was a quick fix. We will definitely be back!

Highly recommend
The cabin was great, even our stay was cut short by a snow storm that took out the power. It is set back on a wooded lot, which makes it feel secluded. Our host was always easy get in touch with and to communicate with. We ended up checking out early due to the power issues and our host did everything in her power to be sure we were refunded. We are already making s plan to return for another stay.

I live twelve minutes from this cabin right here in Baileys Harbor -- so I am available to you anytime you have problems or questions. I have lived in Door County for nearly thirty years so I have lots of information to share if you have interests to share.

Why they chose this property

You can't find a more wonderful, snug and comfortable log cabin in Door County. Made with local timber and finished with local fieldstone and pine flooring, the cabin is truly a Door County original. It was built between 2000 and 2004 so the construction is new and yet it was constructed using traditional techniques -- unique to this part of Wisconsin.

What makes this property unique

A lovely wooded setting, just minutes from the village of Egg Harbor. Absolutely twelve minutes from Baileys Harbor and Fish Creek --- and only 25 minutes north of Sturgeon Bay.
