Great location

First floor right off lobby. Very convent ski in and skin out. Elevator right behind living room and can hear it but not loud or annoying. Great place!

Nice unit but not as nice as others in building

Overall the unit was clean but the lighting is terrible. Mostly harsh LED and not enough. Bathroom shower door needs addressed. Heating was unreliable. Kitchen is nice but awful lighting. I also recommend not booking a Vacasa property through VRBO as you will be charged for two booking fees.

It’s all about the location. If you’re planning to have a winter adventure at Solitude Mountain Resort, this is a great spot.

Convenient and equipped

Clean, convenient and as advertised. Comfortable bed and perfect size for two. Check in process a little inconvenient... Having to stop at the office in the canyon to pick and drop keys is not ideal. Other renters of condos in the Solitude Village have keys located in a lock box at the property... that’s a much better option.

Keys are a huge problem

The condo was fine, bed was super comfy, location was perfect. Vacasa was not, it was a huge hassle when it was time to checkout. We HAD to be out by 10 am otherwise it was an additional $100 for late checkout. We planned on skiing Sunday but Vacasa insisted we take the keys and the parking pass down the canyon over 1 mile away. So if we wanted to ski, we would have to turn around in heavy traffic and fi d paid parking at the resort. Vacasa said this was disclosed (which it was, AFTER we booked). All vacation rentals we have used in the past have never been this difficult. Felt like a hotel not a personal rental.

Ski Vacation

If you plan to ski on check in and check out day consider other options. Keys for the rental are not located on site and parking is not available until 4pm check in. Plan to arrive to ski area early to ensure you get a parking spot. A similar situation arises for 10 am checkout time. If you wait to checkout at 10 am, you may miss the opportunity to find public parking. This situation would be significantly improved if you could leave the keys in your room or on site at checkout. Currently, Vacasa requires dropping them off offsite despite requests for an alternative process. The building does not have space to store your gear upon early arrival or late departure so it’s unlikely you could ski on those days if relying on a transportation service to bring you up the canyon. The room is spacious. The kitchen is stocked with cooking tools. Bring your own dish detergent. The space is outdated but comfortable for a ski stay. The master bed at its end life. I messaged Vacasa directly and hope they replace the mattress for future guests. The shower door leaks a little but plenty of towels are provided. Overall, ski Solutide. It’s wonderful with great access to Brighton. If available, stay elsewhere.

July 4th @ Solitude Was Wonderful!!

Great vibe. Live music one night on the outdoor space. Fun place for family games and family reunions. The grills gave us a nice opportunity to have a big family BBQ. We loved being on the ground floor in Powderhorn 102 - near to the action with easy access but private and quiet too.

Convenient stay on the slopes

Great location just a quick walk to the lifts. Right in the middle of the village so it's also close to restaurants, etc. Nothing fancy but comfortable. Underground parking with elevator and luggage carts which is important when you have a lot of gear.

Enjoyable & Relaxing retreat.

Two minutes and you're on the slopes. No new snow, but OK spring conditions & blue-bird days. Handy laundry machines, Village dining & Tavern. Wish Owners had put together a detailed information binder on what's where instead of having to wing it. I think there is a problem with the right side of the mattress (depression).

Great little ski nook

Great little condo for a couple or small family. Walking distance to the shops, slopes, rental shop, or resort shuttle. Covered free parking is a plus! Once we parked we never drove our vehicle.

Property Management Probably Stole My Identity

The property itself is great, was generally clean and fit the description. Vacasa, the property management company, however, was another story. Their required security questions to "confirm your identity" were the most invasive I've ever heard...and eerily similar to the ones used to recover passwords. There's nothing about this in the description, but if you don't use their process to confirm your identity you essentially lose your reservation and I'm not sure it would be refunded. Since there was no other options for lodging and I couldn't cancel, I had to go through their process. I took out extra identity theft protection after going through their process. By far the sketchiest booking process I've ever experienced.
