This is a newly converted barn with lovely exposed beams and loads of character. It is located in the very tranquil countryside - perfect for a relaxing and peaceful break. This 18th century barn is attached to a typical Gascogne farmhouse and set in 4 acres of gardens with footpaths leading to countryside and woodland walks. The renovation of the barn was completed in 2018 and features a wealth of exposed beams and lots of rustic charm but with all home comforts. The living area has three sets of glazed doors with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. There is a modern, fully equipped kitchen with the option of using the indoor dining area or the adjoining covered terrace where there is a table and chairs together with a barbeque.
There are two modern shower rooms (one on the ground floor) and the bedrooms are light and airy with comfortable bedding. Guests have their own self-contained accommodation with off road secure parking, terrace and gardens.
The swimming pool is available for your use from 10 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. daily. Sun loungers, towels and parasols are provided.
The owners live on site in the adjoining farm house and are available for advice, guidance and any help required. Otherwise you will have complete privacy.
The beautiful area of the Gers is ideal for walking, cycling and sightseeing the many lakes and Bastide Towns of the Gers and Haute Pyrénées. Marciac Jazz Festival is close by and we are just one hour from the ski slopes. Auch, the Capital of the Gers is a short drive away where there is a beautiful Cathedral and a range of restaurants and bars. This Gite is located between Masseube and Castelnau Magnoac with supermarkets, restaurants and bars to suit all tastes. There is also a cinema close by. The border with Spain is just an hour away so it's possible to pop over there for lunch or to do shopping.
