With a view of the Caernarfon castle and a river view onto the Afon Seiont, this townhouse’s location is great! Our group of six found this townhouse to have ample space and features a nice sitting room on the second floor overlooking the river. The well-equipped kitchen is relatively large and has a dishwasher, although a minor repair of the cabinetry is needed. The beds and townhouse were clean, but unfortunately the previous renter did not completely wash up the dishes, so there were a few surprises for us upon our arrival. The townhouse also has a clothes washer and dryer — a plus for travelers looking for to do laundry. Although this was not an issue for us, the stairs up to the bedrooms are narrow and steep, so people with mobility challenges might keep that in mind. In summary, the townhouse was comfortable and the location was ideal for a base to explore this historic and scenic northwest corner of Wales.
We had a wonderful stay at this property in Caernarfon. Had everything we needed, and a very short stroll into town. Close proximity to many other places to visit and we hired bikes to cycle the pathway to Brynic. The steam train is just across the road (and down the wall) and was a great experience - first class of course. Highly recommended by us from Australia!
We had a wonderful stay in this gorgeous townhouse. Its setting was perfect, with the gorgeous town of Caernarfon on our doorstep, and coast and mountains close by. Sian was quick to respond to any queries, and was extremely helpful and friendly.
We wouldn't hesitate to return, and wish we could have stayed longer.
Beautiful townhouse a few steps from the Main Square
This is a gorgeous townhouse in a terrace of lovely pastel colours set immediately above the steam railway hub of Caernarfon Station, where you can board scenic narrow-gauge trains to the heart of Snowdonia or the coast.
The house itself is extremely comfortable and well equipped. Everything you could need, be it shops, restaurants, and of course the Castle, are within easy walking distance. There are various car parking options if you want to get out to see and walk amid the peerless mountain and coastal scenery, or visit the Welsh Heritage sites gathered around. Two weeks were clearly not enough!
Sian is a highly responsive host, eager to help with anything. She lives further along the coast, but answers emails very rapidly, and visited us once to check we were OK, despite still recovering from a nasty accident.
I wish we were still there!
We enjoyed a lovely bank holiday weekend in this stunning part of Wales. This property is well located in the town and within walking distance of local amenities and restaurants. Within easy travelling distance of Anglesey and Porthmadog where we enjoyed the beaches in the beautiful weather. The drive to Beddgelert was particularly special with a picnic by the river with mountains close by.
Thank you Sian for visiting with the parking permits and sorting so quickly.
Fantastic house, beautiful view, absolutely brilliant location right next to the main square. But steep staircases , for our elderly parents, Especially if you are in attic room 3rd floor. But it was a lovely house,
This townhouse was truly wonderful. It was well equipped and very comfortable. It was built in 1826 and we loved to be part of history while staying there. It is walking distance to castle, restaurants and shopping. Great location for getting to other historic sites as well. Communication was immediate, friendly and professional. Loved everything about it!
Wonderful location -steps to the castle, views across the water across a green park, close to groceries (walking distance) and easy access in and out of town from the parking.
The house is well appointed, tidy and cosy. We spent lots of time in the sitting room enjoying reading by the electric fire. Kitchen had everything we needed - and it was lovely to arrive and find it was equipped with everything we needed for our first breakfast
Was für ein Ferienhaus!!!
wunderschön eingerichtet… mit dem coming home feeling…
Bestens ausgestattet…
Gute Parkmöglichkeit auch für große Autos…
Toller Ausgangspunkt für die unterschiedlichsten Ausflüge
Brilliant stay - pristine property with everything you need!
We had a great stay at Sian’s. Right next to the castle walls and by the water so the views are superb. The photos don’t do the place justice. Spotless and homey with all the amenities you need (you can pretty much just bring yourself and change of clothes)! Sian was extremely responsive too. Very rarely would we rate a place 5/5 - this is one of those rare occasions. Highly recommended!
The house is actually bigger than it seems on the listing. There was only two of us but the house easily sleeps 6 more. The house feels like your staying in a comfortable home. Lots of lovely touches and a brilliantly practical set up. Everything you’ll need. It’s a great location to visit and explore other areas in north wales.
We have just returned from a 7 day stay in Sian's house. She was a fabulous host, easy to contact, quick to reply, very helpful. Everything we needed was in the house, lovely position overlooking river , easy stroll into Caernarfon . Many places to visit locally. Had a great week and would definitely recommend.

Townhouse with a view
A short break during half term in the perfect location. Walking distance to all the main tourist attractions and many restaurants and pubs.
Views to the front of the property were amazing and the house was very cozy and welcoming. Permit parking (included in the stay) was close by.

About the host

I love meeting people and sharing all my local knowledge and love of the area. The coast and castles, as well as the beautiful mountainous area that is Snowdonia with it's waterfalls and lakes. I have loved renovating and decorating properties as well as finding time to travel with my partner David and enjoy my family and friends
Why they chose this property
This is a beautiful property with fantastic views and the castle and the Seiont Estuary, with endlessly changing scenes from the windows of boats, coastal birds and people watching.
What makes this property unique
Within a stones throw and the Castle and the Town, yet on a quiet street. Caernarfon has an abundance of excellent pubs and restaurants.
