About this property

Inchcape Seaside Villas right on Silver Sands Beach - House Sunset Upstairs

Sunset's upstairs It would take superlatives when trying to describe the incredibly spectacular setting of the Sunset upstairs 2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms apartment at the Inchcape Seaside Villas. Often heard is “best views on the island” or "best views from sunrise to sunset”, or “270 degrees and hard to beat”, but no matter how far one gets carried away by the spectacular views to the east, south and west, Sunset’s terrace which wraps around the living and bedroom area, is most probably one of the best outlooks anywhere along Barbados’ shores. Overlooking Silver Sands Beach to the East, one can see as far as to the outside reef of Long Beach. The good size kitchen is fully equipped with a four burner stove, oven, good size fridge and everything else a well equipped kitchen should be equipped with. From here you can easily access the dining area which is part of Sunset’s living room, which comes with a mix of elegant and antique furniture, tv and stereo system. Three huge glass windows allow spectacular views at the below Silver sands Beach. The ever-changing picture of the waters around Ananias point is just amazing. This is where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean Sea and where the water can be calm like a pond and also have a little shore break hitting our beach. The view to the west is framed by Coral House Beach. Hang out in the wide body hammock on Sunset’s upstairs terrace, sip on your Pina Colada while listening to Jimmy Buffet’s “Jamaica Farewell” and get carried away by this spectacular scenery. The cleaning service which comes automatically with this apartment is a brief hotel type cleaning service and changing of towels (and sheets on request) every three days. Additional services can be arranged, but always and only on request and depending on availability of a qualified member of our work force.

Laundry service is offered by our maids on property at a small cost.

We reserve the right to make changes to any bookings under 7 nights where necessary without notice.

Beautiful Paradise
Wow! There are so many great things to say about Inchcape, but the two things I keep coming back to are the beauty and serenity this place holds. We stayed in Sunset downstairs and the ocean views from the inside of the beautiful villa and spacious covered porch were breathtaking! The villa grounds are stunning and well maintained. Wolfgang and Rosie were incredibly gracious and were happy to help with our needs. We enjoyed getting to know this delightful couple. And finally, I would be remiss not to mention Ginger and Lorna. We could not have wished for better maid service. They both possess a beautiful heart and we will forever remember them with fondness. We highly recommend staying at Inchcape if you are looking to get away from it all.

Holiday in the Paradise
In October, I went on vacation to Barbados with my family. Already the joyful reception at the airport impressed us. A shuttle picked us up and we drove 15 minutes to our booked accommodation. The Inchcape Villas. We were warmly received by the owners, Rosi and Wolfgang, with a "Welcome to the Paradise". And that's it. The two Germans have been living on this island for 25 years and have been able to answer all our questions. I was thrilled with the location of the apartment complex and felt immediately at home in the very well-kept spacious rooms. It was fascinating to get to know the different sides of the island. Very Caribbean in the West and rough and wild in the East. Barbados is really a paradise and we'll be back soon. Michi & Family

Perfect, just perfect
We have been to Inchcape Villas, Barbados in October. At this time of the year tourism is still running slow. For us it felt like an advantage. Maybe the sky is not blue every hour but the air is like silk and there is always a nice wind going along the southern shore. This is where you find Inchcape Villas. A cluster of individual houses built in traditional island style situated in a tropical garden. The owners, Rosi and Wolfgang, run this place for many years and keep it mint condition. They know what guest need and care for it in every detail. Taxi pickup at the airport was nicely organized and our rental car was delivered in front of our apartment just an hour after arrival. Formalities were next to nothing, everything runs smoothly. We had a friendly and very personal welcome. Rosi and Wolfgang know everything about the island and could answer all our many questions. We did many excursions over the island. Always impressed by the friendliness of the Bajan people and always happy to come "home" in the evening. Because home was how it felt. A very spacious apartment, well kept and beautiful by its architecture and its views. Plus the constant sound of the ocean waves on the beach. We have been traveling to many different places of the world. This place we will come to again. Michaela and Klaus Hartrampf plus Junior

Stunning as always !!!!!!!!!
My husband and I have stayed at Inchcape Sea Side Villas for many years now but always in Jan or Feb which is the high season in Barbados. Every review I have written has been better and better each time as it improves year after year. ( if that is possible). We have recently retired and had the fantastic opportunity to stay for five weeks in the low season, we wandered what the weather would be like ( although I would stay there what ever the weather wind rain or snow ) it was amazing we arrived just after a down pour and it remained cloudy until the next morning. For the next five weeks we had one night heavy rain ( which is very common in the high season) and only two cloudy days. We had a few days of high humidity but at Inscape there is always a lovely place to find a nice breeze. Although it never gets too busy in the high season it was lovely to experience it even quieter. Everything was at an even slower pace if that is possible all the restaurants were still all open with people having even more time and space for their customers. A very good time to go if you just want to explore Barbados and what it has to offer which is a lot. Inchcape it self never disappoints it has so much to offer all age groups so much to do if you wish and so little if like us you are a bit lazy. Kite and wind surfing facilities are right on your door step. The villas themselves are charming immaculate and all different adding to the establishments charm, it is like driving into a little oasis. The owner's and staff are amazing, happy charming and are always there all you have to do is ask and they will do anything for you they really do want you to have a good time. It is advisable to have a car to get out and about but we met a couple who were there for three weeks and they just used info from the internet to get around on public transport and probably saw more of the island than we did they really enjoyed doing it that way. There is alway's the almost resident taxi driver Rodney who will take you any where you want on the island he is lovely. We have stayed at Seaside,Sunset upstairs ( which is something else!) and our daughter at Seaside cottage all of which have a different charm. Once again I would like to thank all the staff I miss them already. Rosi and Wolfang really know what they are doing brilliant ! If you love sea sunsets and lovely people you must go ! Vacation of a lifetime
This truly was the trip of a life time! It was absolute paradise. It was the prettiest island, most gorgeous ocean and the kindest people on staff. No attitude there and they totally could have it because the resort is top shelf and extremely special. We were supposed to stay a week and extended it to 10 days because we didn't want to go home. It is immaculate, low key and very relaxing. The Inchcape Seaside Villas are very unique and beautiful, surrounded by pure nature, a white sand beach, tropical gardens. We loved snorkeling with turtles. This vacation, Barbados and above all the Inchcape Seaside Villas made my dreams come true. Can't wait to go back.

What a wonderful experience!
My wife and I recently returned from our Barbados trip, where we stayed at Inchcape. It's a beautiful property and unique with amazing views, well designed rooms and a very accommodating staff. We have both traveled extensively and can honestly say this was one of the most enjoyable experiences we've ever had at a hotel or resort. You will have difficulty finding another location like this one anywhere in the world. The resort itself is beautiful, and designed to be self contained with an emphasis on ecology and preserving the environment. Every architectural detail in the rooms and across the property is very well done. Every single staff member was friendly, knowledgeable and polite, from the airport pick up service driver, all maids to the manager. The view from any apartment we saw, is relaxing, unique and beautiful... looking out past the waters of the Atlantic side of the Caribbean to the reef that surrounds the island in the distance. We even saw turtles surfing the shorebreak right in front of our house. The food all over the island is very good too. Also be sure to sign up for daily excursions. Everyday we either snorkeled, toured the island by car or boat, sailed, paddle boarded or did some type of watersports activity.

Large, Airy Apartment, Great View!
We came for two weeks and stayed in two of the apartments, Seaview and Sunset. Other travellers seem to suggest Tower, but we cannot comment! The best thing about Inchcape is its location to the Kitesurfing Capital of Barbados, Silversands. If you're not a surfer, it's isolated and you need a car to find bars, restaurants and other beaches. Sunset (Downstairs). A much larger 2-bed apartment with the gardens and sea beyond. This has a kitchen, lounge/dining area and a master and triple suite, both with ensuite bathrooms, plus a very large verandah with great views. Overall view on location is this: if you want a get away from it all place with great views, or you are a keen surfer, kitesurfer, wind surfer, this place is most definitely for you. If not, get a car and it's minutes to beaches you can safely swim at like Miami (Enterprise) Beach or Carlisle Bay; or places to eat like Oistins Fish Fry (try Uncle George's!), Surfers Bay beach bar, Kermit's Bar (very local), St Lawrence Gap, Worthing, Accra, Hastings and Rockley. The nearest walk to eatery/bar is Surfers Bay, but it only really opens at 5pm. The food is great and Sunday Night is their big night. There is loads to do and see on the south of the island. Crane beach is 30 mins by car, lovely lovely beach - plenty of other trip advisor ideas too if you search. We loved Inchcape. Wolfgang found us a hire car and managed our planned change of rooms very efficiently for us. The maids are friendly and cheerful. The rooms are kept clean, and fresh towels and linen every three days is fine. Salt air and occasional showers mean windows sometimes must be closed, but we didn't need the AC in the room, the gentle breeze was very comfortable in 29 degree heat. And no bugs at this time of year!! Marvellous!! Definitely worth serious consideration if you're after peace and tranquility, are prepared to use the reggae buses or get a car, for a more local vibe than the West Coast offering. We loved it and will be back. Stayed March 2015, travelled as a couple

Slice of Heaven
I should have written this review five years ago when my husband and I rented out all of Inchape's units for our wedding in Barbados--An absolutely perfect location to host all of our guests for an entire week. After my most recent trip I knew I had to write a review. To say Inchape is idyllic, is an understatement. It is, quite frankly, perfect. On my first visit, we rented Cottage A, which was lovely. Two outdoor patios, plus a rooftop deck. Cool ocean breezes at night. Additionally, our guests took up nearly every other rental on the property, and each and everyone unit was unique. Another reviewer mentioned "old fashioned charm," which I would completely agree. There is something very simple, clean and airy about all the spaces. Exactly what you would want in the caribbean. This time, I stayed in the Sunset apartment upstairs with panoramic views of the ocean. It was amazing to fall asleep every night with waves of the ocean crashing only moments away. It was utterly relaxing. Both stays have been more than enjoyable. Rosie and Wolfgang make sure everything is taken care of for you to have the best stay possible. From borrowing their cooler, to sipping a bottle of wine with them, they are the epitome of host and great taste. If you are looking for a vacation away from the masses, swampy hotel pools, and mindless travelers, then Inchcape is your place. It's clean, quiet and private. A place to unwind. This place is not for those who want to be served by a pool and eat at the onsite restaurant. You have a fully equipped kitchen and functioning apartment here. For me, I loved this because it is what traveling is all about. Getting to know a place and its people. Choose to use the kitchen or not. Personally, we stored wine in the fridge and brewed coffee. That was the extent of its usage. Additionally, the surf bar is just up the road and pours one of the best rum punches on the island. I cannot say enough about Inchcape. I am already dreaming of my next visit.

We are the people who discovered Silver Sands for the sport of windsurfing. We were the first windsurfers in Silver Sands and made Silver Sands known as one of the best wave windsurfing and kitesurfing spots in the world. We are part responsible for the boost in tourism for the area we are located in. Numerous articles written by us and written by others about us and our activities, which were published in magazines wold wide and so contributed to lift the south coast of Barbados on the world map for outdoor activities as windsurfing, kitesurfing, SUP, surfing, boogie boarding cycling and many other sports. And in the tailwind of those who are now coming to take advantage of our incredible outdoor sports conditions, the ones who just seek to relax on a white sand beach also make a good percentage of tourist arrivals to the island.

Why they chose this property

The Inchcape Seaside Villas are situated in a unique location, right on the water at the western end of Silver Sands Beach. Inchcape, as it presents itself today, developed from a plantation property in 1920 and combines now the charm of the old with all modern amenities. Due to our location and proximity to the water we enjoy the best climate Barbados has to offer.
The houses have constantly been renovated and upgraded and Inchcape is recognized today as a unique and one of the most luxurious properties of such a kind in Barbados. Our beach is a beautiful and almost private beach, and has it all, from calm waters like on a pond to a small shore break at one end of the beach, which makes it the perfect beach paradise which again suits a broad range of holiday makers. Silver Sands Beach can be for everybody, from the sport enthusiast to the one who just wants to relax and enjoy the beautiful turquoises waters of this pristine white sand beach.

What makes this property unique

Our beach, the almost perfect climate due to the gentle breezes of the trades and our proximity to the water, our strategic location, just a few minutes away from the Oistins fish market and shops and restaurants, and still being in pure nature just minutes away from everything one wants to be close to and last but not least, a very fast WIFI free of charge for our guests and many more up market amenities, all those features are make out property outstanding.
