My wife and I needed a quiet holiday with minimal travel during out stay.

My wife and I needed a quiet holiday with minimal travel during out stay. This was an ideal place to base ourselves, with Bude only a few miles away, and other interesting places, such as Port Isaac and Clovelly in easy striking distance. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet. The barn conversion was excellent, comfortable and had everything we needed. Lovely walks with the dog from there. One point worth noting. There is a wood burner, and the farmhouse and other properties also have wood burners. I discovered that the smoke set off my asthma. I was well prepared with inhaler though, so all well, and it didn't at all spoil a very pleasant holiday.

Great barn conversion on a working farm.

Great barn conversion on a working farm. Lovely treat to be given scones, cream and Jam on arrival! It is a good size with everything you need. Lovely 30 min walk to the beach, which was great even on a wet and windy day! Owners were very friendly Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hosts were super friendly and made us feel very welcome. The scones on arrival were much loved! The accommodation was warm, spacious and had a well stocked kitchen. Only feedback would be that it would ideal to have the back garden area gated so our dog could run free in a safe/cattle free area. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Absolutely lovely place.

Absolutely lovely place. We loved the barn and it was so quiet and peaceful on the farm, no loud or noisy parties etc. The toddler enjoyed watching the tractor return in the evenings and loved watching the sheep and cows from the windows. Gorgeous views. Well equipped kitchen. It was just wonderful from start to finish en we will definitely go back. The cream tea on arrival was such a lovely touch. My only suggestion would be some instructions on how to work the heating as we don’t know Rayburns but we figured it out with a bit of trial and error and support from the hosts. This is the perfect Covid safe getaway.

This is the perfect Covid safe getaway. The scenery from the cottage is stunning and it is so peaceful and quiet, right away from it all with only the owls cows foxes and other wildlife as company.Kilkhampton is only 2 miles away and has butchers (excellent pasties) and shops should the need arise. The cottage itself was immaculately clean with a quaint rustic decor. The main living room was particularly comfortable with its high ceiling, wooden beams, fabulous view and cosy wood burning stove. The kitchen was modern, well equipped and with everything you need for a self catering stay. Linen was crisp and clean and bed comfortable. The shower and bath had constant hot water, much appreciated after our long walks along the beautiful west cornish coastal path. You can walk straight out of the cottage through a wood to Duckpool beach and the coastal path. Susan and her husband could not have been nicer or more helpful and welcoming ans we loved the scones jam and cream that were waiting for us on arrival. At all times we felt safe and relaxed as the cottage has its own private courtyard patio and BBQ area (we did some stargazing from here on clear nights). The cottage has no wifi or mobile reception so it really is a getaway but we didn't miss it at all.I also feel it's fair to say,as in a lot of Cornwall the road up is narrow and a bit bumpy, again not a problem for us and I'm an average 60 plus driver. I would highy recommend this to anyone visiting this lovely part of Cornwall. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

A wonderful escape to glorious countryside. Expect cows that moo, sheep that baa and a cheerful welcome from the farming family that live beside you but never intrude. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo
