Historic houses, nature and bird reserves an easy drive. Bird watching, golf and fishing all locally. Wroxham, capital of the Broads, 14 miles, for waterside cafes, daily boat hire and river trips. Norwich, 18 miles. Shop within 1/4 mile, pub 1 mile.

An absolute gem.

An absolute gem. I stayed here with my disabled parents and our three Shih Tzus and we didn't want for anything. The fantastic sea views from the lounge were great when dad wasn't able to go out. It was such a quiet location and so restful. The bungalow was fully equipped with everything you needed and spotlessly clean. So close to the beach with a village shop, fish and chip shop and takeaways all within walking distance. A safe enclosed garden was perfect for the dogs. I normally prefer busier resorts but I chose this place because we wanted somewhere quiet and less busy during the current pandemic. I am now converted! We had such a relaxing holiday. The accommodation was clean and comfortable with everything you could possibly need for a family holiday. Very dog friendly. Locals were welcoming. We absolutely loved our stay at this cottage.

We absolutely loved our stay at this cottage. While we were expecting a beautiful location from the photos and reviews, it actually even far exceeded our expectations. This cottage is located on a beautiful beach. The natural beauty is breathtaking and the sea is gorgeous. Being the North Sea, some days the waves were a little too big to swim in but in wet suits, we were able to swim almost every day. It was amazing to just walk out the door a few steps to the beach and not really have to bring much as we could just run up and get what we needed. The garden in the back is great to have with kids and a dog. The conservatory in the back would get very warm and was a nice place to read. The cottage itself was comfortable and had everything we needed. The owner was communicative in advance of our stay and kindly sorted a couple of things for us before and after our visit. The Chinese takeaway in the village is very good and very very well-priced. I can’t recommend anything else in the area as we didn’t leave Bacton at all during our stay! We just wanted to sit on the beach and relax and this holiday was perfect for that. My only suggestions would be to replace the single bed mattresses ( they were a little uncomfortable) and the table in the dining room. But we ate most of our meals in the conservatory anyway. Lovely, spacious bungalow with all we needed for our stay.

Lovely, spacious bungalow with all we needed for our stay. The local shop, fish and chip shop and chinese take away all within a few minutes walk. Dog friendly beach just over the green, the caretaker Linda and her husband are a very helpful couple. We already have two more trips booked there!
