PLEASE NOTE THE COTTAGE DOES HAVE WIFI NOW.

PLEASE NOTE THE COTTAGE DOES HAVE WIFI NOW. Lovely cottage set in a fabulous location. A lot bigger than it appears in the photos. Very quiet surroundings. St Fillans is a fabulous base for exploring or walking, with the village and loch only a short walk away. Nice local walks along the loch and along the disused railway line. Cleanliness was okay, but could have been better. Cracking holiday in a lovely place (blessed by good weather too !). Supermarket in Crieff, not far away. Would definitely come back again. Note if you're on motorbikes, the drive is longish, winding, loose gravel and at times steep ... okay with care if you're on a suitable bike and are confident on the loose. Come to Oak Lodge, you won't regret it. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Tastefully decorated throughout.

Tastefully decorated throughout. Spotlessly clean. Very large garden with lovely views of the hills to the front and back and the added bonus of red squirrels. The mobile reception is weak as it is in most of the Highlands and there is no wifi which means its best to plan activities before you arrive as you'll otherwise be reliant upon the leaflets in the lodge (of which there are many). There's some lovely walks right on the doorstep and the loch is within a 2 minute walk. The local shop is 2 min walk. There's a new play park for kids about a 3 min walk away. Excellent value for a really nice property in a lovely village.

One twin bedroom had no wardrobe or hooks on walls for hanging space.

One twin bedroom had no wardrobe or hooks on walls for hanging space.A number of lights were not working.A blind in the bedroom with en suite you could not pull up, had been informed prior to the holiday that there was a blind missing in the lounge(not a problem). We would not expect such deficiencies in a Cottage at this price.....spoiling the ship for a halfpenny of Tar!!

A wonderful area and village.

A wonderful area and village. The lodge was ideally situated for the local amenities and for lovely local walks. Lovely clean, comfy beds. Lodge was spacious and well equipped. Would have been 10 out of 10 if spring cleaned inside and outside. Also needs WiFi.

We had a lovely week at Oak Lodge.

We had a lovely week at Oak Lodge. Beautiful interior with great amenities. Made use of the games provided which was a lovely touch? A bird and squirrel feeder would be a lovely touch to the garden to make the most of the wildlife. Suggestions from the children would be some play equipment in the garden. Overall a great holiday was had by all. Locals really friendly and helpful ? we look forward to our next holiday to Scotland.
