Fabulous weekend

The cottage is a gem. So close to the town but very quiet. Main bed was very comfy and there was lots of room for a family of 4 and dog. Garden a real bonus. Kitchen very well equipped with everything you need for a stay. Sure we'll be back.

Poor communication

Unfortunately the towns pubs & restaurants were closed all week (there were 2 takeaway restaurants open). We found out from locals that this was due to the annual Horse Fayre being held and was a usual local business response. Extremely disappointed that we were not informed. Our breaks away to the Cotswolds are based on enjoying the local pubs and restaurants. So ultimately this ruined our plans and expectations. I contacted the owner, but was disappointed with the response, which was to simply say "we cannot control what local business do" Very unhappy.

Every thing was lovely the cottage is such a lovely relaxing place, you have everything you need. The only thing was the shower seemed to run quite slow. That being said we would definitely return as this cottage is 5 minutes walk to stow on the wold square. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Weavers Cottage is a great little cottage on a quiet street very close to the town centre.

Weavers Cottage is a great little cottage on a quiet street very close to the town centre. The interior is cosy and well put together. The kitchen appliances seemed fairly new and there were enough dishes, pans and pots to "live" and not only "stay" in the cottage. The kitchen underfloor heating unfortunately didn't work, when I was there, so it was quite cold, while working in the kitchen. The living and dining room were cosy and warmly heated, same the bathroom upstairs. The bed rooms were a bit on the chilly side, which suited me, as I don't like overheated bed rooms at night. The quilt was super warm and comfortable. If you have problems to climb steep stairs, the cottage maybe a challenge. The individual steps are quite high and the staircase is steep. But there are sturdy handrails on both sites of the staircase. The only annoying thing was, that I had to take of all the rubbish. The collection was during the week I was there and it was stated in the instructions, I had to put out everything on the street (household rubbish, glas, paper, plastic, cardboard, food containers). I did it, but could see on the full containers, that I might be the only one following the instructions ;.-) Parking is possible on the parking lot of the catholic church for one car, except of Sunday. The street is quite crowed with cars on the weekend and beginning of the week, but it got less during the week. All in all I loved the little cottage and would book again, when in the area.

A lovely cottage in a quiet location.

A lovely cottage in a quiet location. Nicely furnished. An ideal base to explore the pretty Cotswolds. Rather too much clutter in the kitchen cupboards though, leaving little space for groceries. Enough crockery, cutlery and utensils for a banquet. A washing up bowl would have been useful, rather than an impractical butler's sink (not everyone wants to use a wasteful dishwasher). The long bathroom basin looks very stylish but is impractical. Very comfy bed. Slept like a baby!

This cottage is just perfect for a quiet, relaxing break.

This cottage is just perfect for a quiet, relaxing break. Handy for everything Cotswolds, Oxford, Cheltenham, and close to shops yet in a lovely, quiet setting. The parking on the church car par next door was a real added bonus as we have found parking here difficult on previous visits. The cottage is spotlessly clean and everything is thought of in the way of equipment and comfort. We love it.
