We had terrible weather but no one can change that.

We had terrible weather but no one can change that. The cottage was very clean and cosy and well placed for the pubs and Clipper Café. We received a text from the owners to advise us that it was ready early. There were clear instructions of how to operate the equipment and the children were pleased that there was Netflix and Amazon Prime on the TV which was great as it rained heavily. We still really enjoyed the holiday.

Wonderful location for weeks holiday with family and dogs.

Wonderful location for weeks holiday with family and dogs. Cottage was clean and welcome basket was much appreciated. The only down side was the price, top premium for a week in August, for a small cottage with only a small shower room downstairs. Well I suppose you can't have character and all the luxuries! Would definitely stay again maybe out of season though. 🙂 Go on line and get a weekly ticket for parking from Teignmouth well worth it.

Cottage was very central.

Cottage was very central. The London Inn was a fab place to eat. We had a cream tea at the cafe over looking the estuary, worth a visit. Being positioned next to the busy Cafe could be noisy. Parking was an issue, with no onsite parking. We managed to park around the green. We were lucky not to use the car to get around, we visited Teignmouth by using the ferry to cross the estuary. We enjoyed our stay at Shaldon?

Everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Perfect position to enjoy the village. Parking was difficult so once we found somewhere with no restrictions (around the village bowling green) we decided to leave the car parked during our short break. This meant we had some lovely walks and got the ferry across to Teignmouth for lunch without worrying about driving.

Our second visit to Beachside Cottage, and it didn’t disappoint.

Our second visit to Beachside Cottage, and it didn’t disappoint. The cottage is really welcoming and you couldn’t ask for a better location, Sadie our cockapoo loved the beach and walks around the Botanical Gardens. We’ve only ever visited ‘off season’ so it’s always been peaceful and we even managed to get a parking spot most days.
