Lovely spacious house within easy walking distance of the beach and coastal path.

Lovely spacious house within easy walking distance of the beach and coastal path. We were lucky enough to see seals on the beach. Cley is a gorgeous village and a wonderful location for exploring beautiful North Norfolk. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

The Old Butler's House was everything we could wish for! Our son and his partner and their three small children had a great space, and the living room was a haven for all of us. The garden was safe for our small dog and the smallest grandchild, and the washing machine and tumble dryer was perfect for all the children's clothes. A superb base for our North Norfolk family holiday and a characterful house that grew on us so much we didn’t want to leave! Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

High ceilings, stone flagged hallway: rather like a small National Trust venue.

High ceilings, stone flagged hallway: rather like a small National Trust venue. Could conceivably be chilly in winter, but the graceful sash windows fit well and for an extra charge the boiler keeps the place surprisingly cosy, especially with the free logs on the fire. Right in the quiet centre of Cley, with footpaths directly to the coast and the windmill. We were a group of six, including a toddler who loved exploring (there are stair gates for the impressive central staircase, cots and a high chair) and the house comfortably swallowed us all. A very relaxing living room and a well fitted kitchen. A bit short on bathrooms but this wasn't a big issue. Recommended.

Both myself and partner felt that this property wasn't one that 'put its arms around you and welcomed you in'. Although definitely a unique and characterful property, it was let down by such details as old / mismatched bedroom furniture / poor bedside lighting / no full length mirror for the Ladies. Both the bathroom and kitchen were obviously recently refurbished, but once again, the kitchen was let down by lack of certain utensils / cookware, such as a frying pan without a lid, no pasta gauge / kitchen scales, small details but would have been useful. So as an overall summary, this rental property is both unique / characterful, but my partner and I would both agree that we wouldn't rush to re-book it, until its received some additional TLC.

Great Holiday

The house was very comfortable and extremely well fitted out. Possible the beds are coming to the end of their lives as we felt they were a bit soft. A washing machine would have been useful for the children's clothes but it wasn't a problem. The location is good and the garden was safe and good for ball games and sitting in. Alltogether a really good holiday

We love our holiday in this house and will re book.

We love our holiday in this house and will re book. However the property would benefit from a comfortable single bed in the large bedroom.(As opposed to the present v uncomfortable folding bed ) .Bathroom ventilation would greatly enhance its use !!

We loved the house and found it most comfortable and well equipped. The location is perfect for walking and birdwatching, and also for exploring the North Norfolk coast with all that has to offer. The proximity to Blakeney and Holt is another advantage.
